Attack[edit]

Does the masterless minion attack anyone after the target foe dies because if it doesn't this could be a pretty good skill.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:68.205.162.9 (talk).

masterless = has its own team. in AB for example, it'll be grey and attack Kurzick as well as Luxon. Depends which target is nearest. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 02:06, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Think of it like when you see two mobs of monsters killing each other and you jump in, the monsters really don't care which of their two enemies they attack. -- Arkhar 00:58, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
It tends to attack whatever is closest. So if you just run from it it'll change it's target =p --Srakin 19:28, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Ya. — Eloc 02:44, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
One thing to note, you can use Verata's Gaze on it and it becomes your minion. I used to do it back in Random Arena about a year and a half ago with my warrior/necro, it was pretty fun because this makes the target get healed less so they die easier, plus I can run around hitting things with a sword instead of spending 3 seconds raising the minion. Elder Angelus 21:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
ahaha I used to do the exact same thing with my war Sharpie 08:38, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Credit for Summon?[edit]

When the target dies and the Bone Horror is summoned, do you get credit for that? In other words, does it activate skills like Boon of Creation? -- Hercanic 09:50, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

No, it's masterless, so created by no-one. BlazeRick 01:47, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

This skill is great[edit]

Basically gives you endless energy when ganking. Dark Morphon(contribs) 09:41, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Notes[edit]

about the 3rd line, wouldn't that be irrelavent because they have to leave an exploitable corpse, even though the spell doesnt cause it to be exploited?--User Raph Sig2.jpgRaph Talky 00:21, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

you're right. if the second note is true, the third one isn't. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 21:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
going to remove--User Raph Sig2.jpgRaph Talky 21:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

percentages are multiplicative[edit]

That note about deep wound isn't true, percentages are multiplicative. 1*0.8² =/= 1*0.6 88.169.112.155 10:35, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

are you sure? I thought this only occurs to chances, not to simply percentually reduced things. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:45, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Same as criticals buffing skills. you can't get 100% but you can get close to it 88.169.112.155 12:53, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
It's additional, and caps at 40% tested. 92.21.177.37 22:02, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Add some spice to it[edit]

make it create a higher lvl horror or a better type of minion. If i want a bone horror i would just use the cheap spammable Animate Bone Horror spell and save myself 2spell slots and 5e--Justice 08:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

I think this is used more as a deep wound style effect to assist in pressure, meanwhile the minion is the "spice". Using Verata's Gazs just capitalizes on the minion. So that spell slot and 5e is, supposedly, for the 33% healing debuff. Weaponmaster 01:47, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Discuss[edit]

How is this and arua of the lich related in a way? -- Halogod35 User Halogod35 Sig.jpg 20:31, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Considering how stupid some people are, I'd guess they thought something like "Oh, death magic... AND minion related!" - Ander01 07:08, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

still animateable courpse?[edit]

after it dies with this on, is the corpse greyed out or can you still summon a minion from it? 86.133.131.223 10:20, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

as listed in the notes -> The spell needs the target to leave an exploitable corpse; but the Minion does not exploit the corpse. MrPaladin talk 11:19, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

The "anomaly"[edit]

I don't see how it's an anomaly. If you could cast this on non-fleshy foes, you'd be able to animate a corpse that isn't there. --Aldarik 16:32, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

It doesn't specify that it has to be a fleshy foe, thus the anomaly. 70.139.49.71 20:16, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
It also doesn't actually use the corpse 219.89.237.108 12:57, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Lol[edit]

It's like when someone dies one of those Chestburster aliens from Alien vs Predator come out of them...

And it's more amusing because it looks like by bursting out their chest they killed them, just like in the real AvP xD

Zombie disease idea[edit]

Its already a zombie disease, but i think it would be interesting if:

Malign Intervention Malign Intervention 20%Sacrifice 25 Energy3 Activation time60 Recharge time

Hex spell: Target foe is hexed with Malign Intervention for 0...16...20 seconds. While hexed with Malign Intervention, target foe suffers -1 health degeneration. Whenever someone dies while under the effects of Malign Intervention, a level 1...14...17 allied Malign Horror is summoned. Whenever a Malign Horror successfully deals damage, that target is hexed with Malign Intervention for 0...12...15 seconds and you sacrifice 5% of your maximum health. --The Wind Sage 22:14, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

+1 on that idea. 145.53.249.48 14:29, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Heroes[edit]

Just a note, Heroes will not cast this on Foes until they are below 50% health. 120.152.96.251 16:34, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

"Heroes tend to spam this skill regardless of whether the target or enemy group has healing skills, leading to several extra Bone Horrors per fight." What is this supposed to mean? Seems non-sense to me. Any low recharge skill e.g.: 5 seconds has a good chance to be spammed by the AI. Healing skills on target? I have my axe ready here.
