After thorough testing I have made the following observations:

• Pious Renewal does not glitch under any situation to form a delayed rez, which was proven after rigerous testing using the same skills as the Mantid Diggers.
• Frozen Soil has no effect in preventing these random rezzes, and thus it cannot be a spell/skill, monster or otherwise, that is causing them to rez.
• Spirits like Restoration were not present anywhere near battles with the mantis, nor do the mantis have this skill.
• The occurances of self-rezing by the mantis are completely random.

Hence, at this point I can only conclude that this is a game glitch.Elite Runner 22:27, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

(reset index) the Mantid Queen also shows up in the starter quest Little Creatures, and it just dropped a Monstrous Eye for me. -- UglyLooking 02:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Actually the monster you fought was a Queen Mantid not a Mantid Queen65.95.194.78 17:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
