An R/Me using Greater Conflagration and Winter can use this skill to reduce almost all damage taken, and gain 2 energy every time they are physically attacked or elementally attacked. In fact, they don't have to have any points in Inspiration, since it gives the 2 energy and over 1/4 damage reduction at 0 Inspiration and recharges 10 seconds before it needs to be reused. Of course, if you use that ranger as part of a team (since it would likely be useless on its own), the entire team can reduce most damage they take and gain energy from it by using the Mantra.
