I do not have all the Core skills unlocked, so I'm now thoroughly going over this with a Priest of Balthazar and will make corrections as needed. (Either that or look at Core skills on here.)--Seth Crimsonflare 23:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

This list should now be complete and accurate. If anyone see's any problems, feel free to correct.--Seth Crimsonflare 23:39, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
He now uses one of the generic male Ascalon civilian models and wields a staff instead of using the generic male Ebon Vanguard model and using a sword and shield. -- Gordon Ecker 11:00, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Antidote Signet[edit]

I just went to buy Antidote Signet from here. He doesn't have it, must've been a mistake by someone who had it unlocked. Demy 19:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

had same problem, cant finish my barrage build now.... Mcdertr 02:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Core skills[edit]

There have been a number of comments recently along the lines of, "Micah doesn't offer <Core Skill X> as listed". [1] [2] [3] The fact that trainers offer skills that have been unlocked and that most game/wiki veterans who would edit this page would have had all core skills unlocked before EotN's release poses a difficulty in that regard. It's time to revisit the accuracy of the skill list, and whether Eye of the North trainers actually offer core skills before they are unlocked at all. --Valshia 20:39, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Kinda wrong...[edit]

I don't know who filled in this guys skills, but he doesn't have most of the skills listed here. This needs re-doing...completely. LunarEffect 20:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes I just went there to buy leech signet and he did not have it. 24.4.250.104 14:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
If you notice that he does not have something, you can remove it from the list yourself. It can be difficult to update skill trainers that you reach after already unlocking a lot of skills - as noted above. Tain 14:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Removing Soothing Images, not there and i need it for Gwen.--Justice 21:02, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Changing alot of his offered skills[edit]

I just looked at all of the skills he offerers me compared to what the list here says he should and found quite a few are missing for me if no-one objects i will remove missing skills, and if people object i can supply screens for confirmation. User Tenri My image.jpg Tenri 18:00, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

I believe he may work the same as many of the other trainers. If you already have a skill unlocked on your account, it's available. If you don't, or haven't reached the normal place in the rest of the game where it is available, it he doesn't. So the list of skills available may actually be different for each person that visits him. (edit) I would be very careful about removing things from his list as it may very well be there, though adding additional ones that you have confirmed should not be a problem.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 18:04, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
The problem with adding things is people will come here looking for them and they wont be there. As for removing I was going to remove skills that i have screenshots of him not having but will leave it for now. User Tenri My image.jpg Tenri 18:47, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
The common practice (as per our formatting guideline for NPCs) is to include ONLY the skills the trainer offer by default, leaving out those that he offers but require unlocking. If you want to take the time for cleaning it up, and haven't unlocked all the skills yet, please do so.--Fighterdoken 18:58, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
@Tenri, you may have screenshots showing he doesn't have them, but I, or someone else may have screenshots showing he does. That's why I was saying removing is not necessarily a good thing, and I believe is what is causing the constant changes to the skills listed on this page. I would be fine with showing only the skills he has by default, but I have no way of knowing what they are since I have unlocked almost every skill in this game on one character or another.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 19:02, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
@Wyn, the problem is that skill trainers, besides their default set, offer also "all" the unlocked skills, so listing them on a "what i see" basis is not really useful. I would like to do a run some day for checking trainers with a trial account, but sadly i don't have the resources (people helping) for doing it. Meanwhile, i see no reason for not believing in the word of users like Tenri; if a user states that the skill is not listed, it's because it's not offered by default and shouldn't be here. Having other 30 fully-unlocked players claiming that the skill appears cannot be considerated as useful feedback due to the nature of skill trainers.--Fighterdoken 19:17, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I understand that Fighter. First of all, I think some kind of notation needs to be made on the page indicating that the skills shown are the default ones, and explaining for all those who don't understand about the unlocks. What seems to be happening is that someone comes here, sees a skill is offered, goes to get it, it isn't there, so they come and remove it. Then someone sees it's been removed goes and checks, and it is there, so they add it back. (I only say this because it's exactly what I did when I saw Wild Blow had been removed) I think getting the list of his default skills from Anet should not be that difficult (as well as the default skills for all the rest of the trainers). Potentially the lists could be put on a separate locked page to avoid the constant editing, while still allowing editors to make changes to the rest of the article. It wasn't until after I got started with this conversation that I realized the error of my ways :P --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 21:27, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I have the page ready to change but haven't yet. I believe that he offers all GW:EN skills and no others as default but that is hard to determine because you unlock skills when choosing your professions. User Tenri My image.jpg Tenri 01:54, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Maybe we should ask Emily? See if she can get us a list of the default skills from her magical sources... --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 01:58, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Emily has it on her list of things to do, but the process to get the list appears to be horribly complicated, so it may take some time. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 09:15, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposal for Micah's skill listing[edit]

I believe the only skills Micah naturally has available are the Eye of the North skills. All others are only available if you have unlocked them on your account. I propose we use this list and protect it from any changes. The number of times people have added and removed skills to this list is getting ridiculous. This would solve the issue. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn/talk 11:11, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

My list is the same as Wyn's and I think it's a great idea to protect the page. I assume that an admin can unlock it for editing if ArenaNet ever decides to update the list of skills offered by Micah. This might be a good idea to do for some of the other skill trainers as well. Luke1138 07:30, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
You would have to put the list on a subpage. Don't know how the DPL lists would like that. Backsword 09:09, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Would it be ok for me to remove this guy from all the core skills that have Micah Fergson as a skill trainer, then? I've only removed the ones I could confirm myself, but I did the same on GuildWiki and would do it here as well, if needed. Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 00:34, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
I can confidently confirm that Micah doesn't offer any core skills (that aren't unlocked by Ogden or Vekk on the way to the Eye). - Alexis Toran (talk) 23:06, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

"Fear my madly elite skills!"[edit]

Just came to think of an archer quote from Warcraft III: "Fear my leet skills". Random or "inspiration"? Remember that ANet was made up by former Blizzard employees.

Bug?[edit]

Talking to Micah and he first said something in Korean or something like that, then he said norn quotes "who goes there" and "are you still here". The thing he says in Korean sounds like someone saying "reported" really fast! :P This is all really strange considering he is affiliated with the ebon vanguard. Tell me if you have the same thing. Spiritual Summons 09:21, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Edit: Eh hehe, just realised that some Vanguard quotes are similar to Norn but it does not resolve the korean speaking :/. Spiritual Summons 09:21, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Profession Change?[edit]

During the two quests - Service: Practice, Dummy and Service: In Defense of the Eye he is listed as a Mesmer and uses mesmer skills.. But, during Snowball Dominance, he is listed as a Warrior and uses corresponding skills. Does he change professions? --Smroz01 15:36, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
