I caught a glimspe of a mini destroyer (warrior type) in sifhalla. Anyone know where to get these?

There are many GW:EN monsters that are unique to the expansion, like Ooze, Raptors etc. The Miniature Asura is almost the same skin as Oggy, except for the ears. --Lemming 17:58, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Mini Berserking Minotaur or Ooze, knock out Gargoyle. Also, ANet has always emphasized the equality of the Heroes of Ascalon, so take out Mhenlo and put in a neutral, independent mini, like mini Stone Dwarf. I like DazUltra's suggestion more. I'd put more GWEN stuff in the whites, tho, since ~50% of the whites have been the current campaign. Stuff like a Norn Warrior, one of the dinosaur types, a GOLEM from Oola's Lab, maybe one of the Krait variations. That sort of thing. Imo, a Krait Devouss would be an awesome minipet. I was talking to John, on the design team, and he says that there is a modest concern about Glint, in that her poly count is very high. That's not to say that it's impossible for her to ever serve the role of a miniature, but I thought I'd mention that as an interesting bit of trivia.

im likeing alot of the above,but i would refrain from choosing ally npc minis, look at the results from the last set-mini koss,zhed, and wintersday elf,i'll be lucky to sell one for 5k now, so i'd stick with monsters. some ideas like cave spider, smite crawler seem like good gold ones, ooze,raptor,avalanche,stone summit beast master or doylak master,terroweb dryder,mantid drone/darkwing,fanged iboga,preying lance,cracked mesa,shadow beast,grasps,and mursatt seem like good throw ups for white and purple, and the green should be a main character of GW:EN such as......too bad destroyers alrdy taken.....norn bear,dwarf,vangaurd, not much options,hope someone else thinks of a good green one.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but what I've been saying is that I'm lobbying the designers to include a Mad King Mini in the birthday miniatures or something like that. As you could see, there were no miniatures added to the Halloween event, which I think it fine, because the special gift has always been a hat or helm, and we did get two of those. -- Gaile 18:15, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Vine Seed Effect

I was doing the Bloodstone Fen mission today, just after getting a mini Shiro, and I noticed something strange. When I dropped a vine seed, Shiro would get knocked down, and a "cage" of vines would grow up around him. This lasted only a second before it disappeared. Well, when vine seeds are dropped, they sprout for a second and then revert back to the seed to be picked up agian. but i dunno why it made shiro fall over.estoldt 06:01, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

The mini moa quest wasn't added in as a whim a few weeks before a holiday event, it was a complex quest-less chain that was planned into the launch of GW:EN. Gaile it would be great if we could get a minature every year for each festival, so far I know of only 4 festivals, Canthan New Year, Dragon, Wintersday and Halloween. I don't know the time it goes into making a minaure and implementing it into the festival coding but there is a precedent for it so it's possible. I would love to see more minatures in festivals, the pigs were so exciting! Anon

Handing out a mini at an event is a good idea, but handing out fifty per char per event is what skuld's talking about.

ArenaNet re-skinned armors and sold them as new content in grind of the north (and are proud of it), so I don't see that stopping them from making a Nian mini. On the other hand, many of their second-year minis were impressive (lich lord and aatxe are cool overall, and the mandragor and heket have cool moving graphics), so my hopes are still pretty high. -Auron 12:13, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Mini Pigs weren't handed out 50 per person... you got one for being ina succesful district, I know plenty of people who went to the festival and didn't receive any pigs. If you district hoped and went to all of the finales searching for a successful one that was your choice, but I think that would have been the minority of people. It is very narrow minded to think a majority of the player base attended a sucessful district during a finale, let alone multiple times. Festivals ARE very exclusice, shown by the festival masks. If a minature were to be given during them, it was available at that festival, just another small joy from the festival that stays around like the mask. I like minatures in game from something you have done or been to more than the luck of the draw after one year, which seems kinda boring. It's also cool to have a "present" during the festivals aside from candy/masks. I do LOVE the Nian reskin though, but it's too similair to temple guardian and I was hoping each Canthan New Year would have an in game minature for the totem animal, like tiger, simian for monkey etc. Anon

I'm pretty sure (though its only speculation) that the pig was given in honor of 2007 being The Year of the Pig, if that's true then I'm hoping to see this year giving us a lovely little rat. :) I also agree that the many ways miniatures are given helps make each and every one special in its own way. I love the little guys and have the crazed dream of collecting them all, so any additions of any kind make me giddy. When the ceradon came out I was spastic trying to find that magazine, I'd be the same regardless of where the miniature came from. DelvingAngel 23:37, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Know what would be cool? To have a polling option! I suspect that wikis don't really have those, so we may need to look to the website, which is fine because I put in the request some time ago for a website poll system and I know it's in the queue. I think it would be so nice to have that in place for topics like this. Even though we all know the designers would not in any way be bound by our votes, it would just be plain fun to share thoughts on what we each felt was the coolest potential miniature. We're going to need a new storage solution. I have all 1st and 2nd year minis on my person and in storage, and I'll be sure to buy all the 3rd year minis I can get my hands on - But I'm not going to have anywhere to put them. I really think there needs to be an update where we can store our minis in the Hall of Monuments. If you want to swap out your mini, you have to go to the monument and access storage there. (And logically, let us store our elite armor and destroyer weapons, since we need so many to have a full hall!)

Would you pay $9.99 for another tab in storage? What if that tab was bigger? If you answered yes, consider buying another character slot. I say this because this has been shot down many times -elviondale (tahlk) 05:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

disappointing? Well, at most the two miniatures that were used a remodeled version of already existing (Miniature Forest Minotaur/Miniature Aatxe and Miniature Black Beast of Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh/Miniature Greased Lightning). Though it won't be completly avoidable in the next years, and many players were happy about the black beast, additionally there were also several models players waited for, also as Anet got this time inspired by the players' proposals i think.

And you have to consider that like this, we still have new interesting models for the next year. —ZerphaThe Improver 01:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I haven't even seen any of them ingame and i'm already disappointed. It's been 3 years since GW's release. We got a 'relatively' sweet dragon with the mini Kuunavang, but now i think it's time for a kickass dragon with a miniature Glint. A significant character in the story should be awarded a miniature. (i mean, come on.. Koss and Zhed both have one.. and they S-U-C-K!) And yes, i'm only talkin about Glint, because i don't really care about any other miniatures, except my mini Shaman. :) - Trixor

No. It's because of how Guild Wars work. Minipets are essentially normal creatures that can't be targeted or selected. -- ab.er.rant 02:49, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
