GW:EN - The Shape of Things to Come[edit]

Meet my new pet! Can't wait to see this one in motion... ₪₪ JOSəPH ₪₪ 17:16, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

They're beautiful. Definitely my ranger's new pet as well. -Auron 09:07, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
I love mine! They look superb! A credible flying alternative to the crappy phoenix at last. Andrik Of Ascalon 16:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Psshh... I still say black widow ftw -elviondale (tahlk) 18:23, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Not totally sure on this one, but I think that discussion pages are meant to be used for discussion of relevant information only. -- troy frostwind 04:10, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Nah, they're to discuss anything; trivia, how cool something looks, how disappoited/excited we are about it, etc. This isn't wikipedia :P -Auron 04:21, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Disappointed, as it really does not resemble an eagle in motion - and it should fly higher at least. I'm keeping my gorgeous phoenix! ₪₪ JOSəPH ₪₪ 12:03, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Auron_Bushi: Yeah i dont know if it is the screen shot or what, but the eagle doesnt look too impressive. But we do have a lack for "flying" pets so any addition is welcome. I however still stand by my Elder Crab Achillies, noone comes close!

Believe me - it's definetely the screenshot. I'll try and snap a much better one in full light [I think that was taken in Ice Cliff Chasms, which has really dark lighting] Andrik Of Ascalon 16:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
They had potential, but it turns out that they look like deformed turkey chickens. --Deathwing 02:03, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Naming Error[edit]

The in-game Mountain Eagle is improperly named. Mountain Eagles are dark-colored black-brown raptors living in Southeast Asia. The Eagle in-game closest resembles sea-eagles from the genus Haliaeetus. Error on ArenaNet's part.

uhm....raptors........The dinos got killed a while back, dude...--User Raph Sig2.jpgRaph Talky 01:23, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Aha..aha... omg... Raph, that was hilarious. Hey Anon, if you can back up this information, perhaps you can propose a notes/trivia note about it here? MiraLantis 01:29, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
it certainly more closely resembles aSea eagle than a mountain eagel however iv also just stumbled across Harpy Eagle wich personaly i think is a direct likeness.--DemonthornUser Demonthorn sigicon.jpg 22:35, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Raptor means BIRD of Prey.99.204.66.108 01:35, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
....Its Arenanet's game, they can name it whatever they want. This isn't supposed to be taking place on Earth after all.--64.131.34.70 00:13, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

It's an eagle-looking bird-thing that flys/hovers around mountainous areas. That's good enough for me.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 00:18, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
