Talk:Necromancer Vabbian armor
From Guild Wars Wiki
it's too hidden in my opinion, for what gives the both galleries. it's not much too had on the main page, why are you against it ? lussh 15:50, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Previous discussion about dyed images resulted in the support of having only the renders and gray components. Formatting changes like this are likely controversial and should be discussed on the appropriate talk page. In any case, they don't need to be linked from the main article page. They are gender specific and logically anyone looking for dyed pictures would check the galleries first anyway. The article names aren't correctly capitalized either. - BeX

[edit] 5k
Honestly I luv this armor but I dont think that it should cost 5k to craft. The materials alone alotogether ar most likely 10k for each piece, so altogther u would pay about 60k for this armor. It is nice but I dont think it is worth 5k, maybe 1k or 1.5k. --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 03:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- O.O Please tell me you're joking. This is the least expensive Prestige armor for Necromancers, the runner-up being 8k in the Elite Scar Pattern armor. The materials just bring it up to normal prestige price as it is, if I'm doing my math right. I would just laugh if they brought every piece of armor in this down to 1.5k. That said, it is rather ridiculous that this requires 16 sapphires and rubies, but like I said, it seems to balance out the 5k. Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 03:45, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Nope not joking in fact I have alot of people in game that agree with me, this armor is nice but not nice enough for 5k each --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 03:46, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that explains why not many people are using it, then. It probably would balance out the cost if it was 2k or less, but I just don't see it happening. If I could remember the average value of either, I swear I could figure it out, but right now I suspect it to hover around 2k, not one. Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 03:54, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I would be willing to settle with 2k I would say it would be worth that. Instead of this armor I got Sunspear because it is cheaper and looks just as nice, it is not the fact that I didnt have th cash it just semmed unjust for that much of a price. Also I have only seen 2 people with this armor, i am sure there are more but that is what I saw. I do think it has to do with the price --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 03:59, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Two people in your entire Guild Wars... dare I use the word 'career' in relation to an MMO? Anyway, that doesn't surprise me either. I've only seen this twice as well, but the first time I saw it was this article, so I guess it doesn't count. I bet that 5k would be acceptable to some people if the amount of precious gems was cut down to 8 each, at the least. Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 04:10, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes if they cut the price of gems it would be more sutiable for 5k. But until then We all have alot of saving up to do lol --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 04:15, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I see this armor everywhere and I think it's really nice. Not everyone likes Obsidian but should they lower the price on that? Personal taste shouldnt be cause to make Anet change something. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. I have 3 sets of Vabbian already, and I'll be getting my 4th soon. I love the art, so it's worth the money and time. - Bex

- Well as i said I luv the armor alot, in fact i think it is realy cool. but i dont think it is worth 5k. --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 04:27, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Then don't buy it. :P Loving an armor set includes at least accepting the cost of it. - Bex

- I plan to eventually buy the armor but i still think it is a horrible price for the armor. --Shadowphoenix Image:User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 04:32, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Rubies and Saphires are selling for 3.3 K now with 16 of each that cost 105 k alone. This isn't considering the other materials plus the 5k per piece of armor. So the price of 5k a piece is kind of expensive. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.109.77.203 (talk • contribs) at 15:48, 30 April 2008 (UTC).
I don't see anybody's point, it's elite armour, it's supposed to be expensive so those who work hard for it can reap the benefits. (or you could just farm for a long time). when I bought elite kurzick for my ritualist, I didnt complain because it cost nearly 130k, because I liked it, I just bought it.
- I really don't see what people are complaining about... compared to the price for the materials, the 25k is nothing! If you can afford to buy the materials, the small ammount of money it takes should be really easy to gather up.Katzchen 00:50, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- I personally dislike the use of this reason in an argument. The fact of the matter is that 25k compared to 105K is pretty much 25%. So, after raising the 100% you need for the gems and other maths, raising the other 25% is just a kick in the balls since it goes -nowhere-. it's a goldsink nothing more nothing less. At least the gems are shiny. Sparhawk 20:39, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm just going to stick with the fact that I'm grateful it's not 10-15k a peice like every other armor, no matter how expensive the materials are for them. Anet have already reduced the price of this armor by 1/2 to 1/3 of all the other elites, why can people not be satisfied? Katzchen 06:33, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Um, maybe because it is the 2nd most expensive armor in the game. It really dodes need to be that expensive, honestly; I wouldn't mind if this was brougt down to 1k a piece and then taken off the prestige armor list, because the armor may be nice, but it is not nice enough for me to paymore than what I payed for my elite Luxon armor :P --Shadowphoenix
