NPC Guild[edit]

This isn't a player guild page. This is for the NPC guild Obsidian Flame of which Nika is a part of. It's just in desperate need of information.--Pyron Sy 01:05, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

{{stub}} is your friend then :)... do we have a lore-stub template?--Fighterdoken 01:08, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Never actually worked on creating an article from scratch. Mostly just done minor edits and corrections. Still getting used to all the wiki code.--Pyron Sy 01:22, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Still faster than me, edit conflicts ftl :( -- AT(talk | contribs) 01:25, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
You beat me with the category, so I give you the win on this round.--Pyron Sy 01:27, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah, sorry about that. I assumed it was someone's attempt at setting up a page for their guild. Kokuou 02:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Leader[edit]

In Nika's description it's written that her mother rules the largest guild of assassins around, so would that make her mother the leader of the Obsidian Flame? Sanna 09:54, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Guild hall?[edit]

The manuscripts says this is "the largest Assassin guild in all of Cantha," but does anyone know where it's guild hall is located? Surely it isn't the spot where we had to defend against the Afflicted during the quest To Tahnnakai Temple. The Am Fah and Jade Brotherhood have far better guild halls if that is the one. 121.7.187.121 19:32, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

I doubt that it is that place, but aside from that quest and the guild master and Nika, we don't even see members of the Obsidian Flame - so we don't know where it is at. -- Konig/talk 22:47, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Any chance of joining this guild? Makes me feel better knowing I'm playing for an official/NPC guild. 121.6.3.21 11:59, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
It is impossible to join any NPC guild, technically. Though one could say we join the White Mantle, Shining Blade, Ascalon Vanguard, Order of the Sunspear, and Order of Whispers via storyline. But it isn't the same as a real guild. -- Konig/talk 12:55, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Wait a second...[edit]

I thought they were all assasins why is their guildmater a warrior? Yay Killing Charr talk 13:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Either 1) an oversight by the devs when making Nightfall or 2) assassin not in the profession but rather in the job - i.e., they are assassins but not Assassins (as Bobby Stein said in an interview, Anet uses lowercase profession names as a generic term and capitalizes it for the actual profession - thus "warrior" may not be the same as "Warrior"). -- Konig/talk 02:52, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Winds of Change[edit]

I really like the Obsidian Flame particularly because of Nika and the assassins, so I'm very disappointed this guild plays absolutely no part in the storyline. I didn't think they would really sit back while the Ministry of Purity was around. "Maintain the peace within the Empire of the Dragon?" They were completely absent when we had to defend Kaineng Center, so I suppose that quote isn't entirely true. 220.255.2.143 19:46, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

You're not the only one. And interesting how the only gangs the MoP care for is the Am Fah and Jade Brotherhood when there are more out there. Also wonder why they decided to bring in completely irrelevant enemies, when relevant ones existed already. Konig/talk 20:17, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Don't forget The Knights Who Say Nian. Anyway, other than the Am Fah and Jade Brotherhood, the Crimson Skull was the only Factions gang involved in the raid, which is very disappointing. The game's developers (or whoever wrote WoC) really need to see our feedback, if there's anyway to directly contact them. I would also like to rephrase the last sentence from my first post to: Then where were they during the Raid on Kaineng Center, when the Empire's need was dire? That quote has proven to be false and should be rewritten or removed. 220.255.1.150 06:23, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
