Good to see so many people --helping out with this page ^^ Thanks! Pretty exciting stuff Sjeng talk 11:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

aye. but where exactly is Thackery now? I didn't find him yet outside the Eye of the North in Ice Cliff Chasms. btw, a drop rate page would be nice. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:09, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
alright, i found him after entering the Hall of Monuments alone and killing the Rainbow Phoenix. Maybe he also appears without doing this, but now at least i know that he's in the HoM. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:11, 2 April 2010 (UTC) uhhm ok nevermind, it's just the "usual" dialogue with Gwen without any presents for trade. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:14, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
err teh candles dunt wrk 127.0.0.1 12:20, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
You can only give him the candles once to get a Paper Wrapped Parcel. All subsequent candles will yield a Sack of Random Junk. --Curse YouCurse You(talk|contribs) 12:27, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I cannot find him in Ice Cliff Chasms. Is there any prerequisite? I've completed EOTN but only seen a few of the dialogues between him and Gwen. --Yuki Winterchill 12:30, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
You need to see all dialogue between the two. Up until the one with the picnic. -- Konig/talk 12:37, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Just finished watching them, and he does appear now. --Yuki Winterchill 12:42, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
So one gift per item or one gift per character? like if I give him 1 drake kebob and 6 candles do I get 2 gifts? --SunJinyu 15:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I guess it's one gift per item, I've just given him a cupcake and he's given me one of these.--RaXsO 15:50, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

It's all on the Thackeray page.

  • You have to have finished EotN.
  • You watch the dialogue in the HoM untill the picnic comes up.
  • You go outside into the Ice Cliff Chasms and talk to Thackeray.
  • You go on the scavenger hunt.
  • You enter the HoM again.
  • You can do it with each character that has finished EotN and has Sardelac Sanitarium on the map.

Good luck Sjeng talk 16:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

You do NOT have to have completed EotN to get Thackeray to give you stuff. I've only finished EotN on one of my characters, but I have been able to get him to offer the new stuff by simply watching all his Dialogues with Gwen. Also, you can trade the candles, so you just need one character that can go to Sardelac to get as many as you need. --Curse YouCurse You(talk|contribs) 00:26, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Actually, you don't have to have finished EotN and you don't need to have Sardelac Sanatorium on the map : I just went in with a friend with a couple characters. The first time, I didn't have Sardelac on my map, we traveled to there from Ascalon after giving Thackeray the cupcakes. She had Sardelac on her map, however. The second time, she did it with a character who had just arrived in EotN, and had not done a single mission there. My character had finished EotN, however. 90.60.60.246 00:28, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

I am very confused...[edit]

The page says that "A character can only acquire one parcel for each of these items, for every subsequent one of the same type Lieutenant Thackeray will only grant a Sack of Random Junk". Once I gave him 1 birthday cupcake for a parcel, he wouldn't take any more. I also gave him a chocolate bunny and a pumpkin cookie and a slice of pumpkin pie for 1 sack each. I had more, but he wouldn't accept any of them. He will now no longer accept ANY sweets from me (the sweet option button just disappeared). As for alcohol, I gave him a hard apple cider for 1 parcel, but now he won't accept any more, even for sacks (which the description implies he should). I also gave him 1 hunter's ale, 1 shamrock ale, and 1 eggnog for 1 sack each, and again the button for alcohol acceptance completely disappeared (the one that says "I've got a drink here that I think you'll really enjoy"). Basically, he doesn't seem to be collecting more than one of any item, like he won't give sacks for birthday cakes at all. I'm really confused, and I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I'd be happy if it were explained to me. PS: He takes up to 3 sets of votive candles if you already have them in your inventory, the first for a parcel, and the other two for sacks of random junk. However, it appears that if you only enter with 12, for example (as I did on another account's char), he takes them all for 1 parcel and 1 sack, and then the option disappears. Sorry if I made any mistakes above, I took a bunch of screenshots but it's possible I missed something. Thanks! Ailina 03:14, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Also, I noticed that after I gave him 1 dwarven ale, 1 vabbian wine, and 1 eggnog (this is on another char) and got 1 sack for each of them, the next time I tried to give me a drink, all of the drinks that he is known to give sacks for were removed from the list, and he only accepts Hard Apple Cider and all the other drinks that he refuses no matter what (aged dwarven ale, juniberry gin, firewater, spiked eggnog, absinthe, witch's brew, grog). So basically you CAN'T get any more sacks from alcohol at all. So yeah. Dunno what to make of that. Maybe I'm a little slow...?  :) Ailina 03:35, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Your post was too long, so I didn't read everything you did. But I'll make it simple: He accepts four items of each category (except candles, which is 3 sets of 6 - he takes 4 drinks, 4 sweets, and 4 meals). In each category (excluding candles), there is one item to get you a Parcel, and many to get a sack. You can get 3 sacks, and you can get 1 parcel per category. He also only takes the item he gives a parcel for once (again, excluding candles). For example, give him 3 shamrock ales, the only drink you can give him is an apple cider. -- Konig/talk 08:57, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, you are wrong. He is accepting four sets of 6 candles. :) Lex Luxor 13:23, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm, interesting, seeing how he says he takes 18 candles, and since he takes them in 6's, that means he takes 3 groups of 6... Must be a typo. -- Konig/talk 21:45, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
The main page is misleading because he accepts a variety of sweets (e.g. Pumkin Cookies, Easter Bunnies), but only once. Liquids like Hunter's Ale and Shamrock Ale as well. --Falseprophet 04:37, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

When was this item introduced?[edit]

When was this item introduced? Was it in the update notes? -Ninjatek 03:35, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Added note to the page. -- Konig/talk 04:53, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

I just noticed he is also accepting kegs of hunters ale but doubt any1 would like to trade it :)

He does not accept them. He has text for refusing to take them, something about people seeing him rolling a barrel of ale through the mountains or something. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 20:52, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Although the page says you get 3 Stars of Transference per package, I only got one. :(

you're most likely confusing this with the Sack of Random Junk, which also has a chance of rewarding Stars of Transference (between 1 and 15) 77.213.235.141 16:01, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

ETA: Oh geez, why is this showing up in the bottom section? Can someone fix this? -- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 12:35, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

No clue how to fix that, but there is already a table going on here. -- Konig/talk 12:52, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
If anyone cares, it was showing up at the bottom because the table wasn't properly closed. But yeah, there already is one. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 23:28, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
