[edit] Pink???

Errr.... since they got rid of dye remover, how does one make a convincing pink dye these days? -- Salome 09:08, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

White + Red or Silver + Red. My ritualist's pink armor was made from silver + Red, you can check it out on my userpage. --MageMontu 09:11, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
It also really depends on your armor. Good places to start are Red + Purple, Red + Silver and Red + White. Some combos work better for some armor than others, for example, metalic warrior armor shows a nice vivid pink with Red + Silver while on most sets of elementalist armor, it is just a washed out Pink. -- Dragonlord Tony 09:25, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Hmmm...Very nice but on my monk armour i tried red+white, red+silver and red+purple and it just looks like red armour which has been left in the wash too long or a maroon colour. However I tried it on my dragon helmet and pink+purple makes a great pink on that. Annoying that base colours are still effecting dye composites. -- Salome 09:26, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh that reminds me, they reset all the base colours to red for EoTN armours I think. Thus it should be easier to make pink on those armours. -- Salome 09:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
R u sure? cause yesterday i bought an asura armor and it was gray --MageMontu 09:46, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
All armour is now dyed grey when you buy it, however that doesn't change the base colour. I think its a dye glitch, but before they brought in the dye preview window etc..., every armour had a base colour. Ele was purple, Necro was red, Mesmer was green, warrior, monk and Ranger were yellow and so on. Now what this meant for applying dyes is that when you applied 1 dye it was fine. The dye would just apply normally; Eg blue dye = blue armour and so on. However where it got complicated was where you applied a dye mix. E.G.; Applying red and purple to make pink, however what would actually happen (and what still does happen) is that the dye mixes with the base colour as well. so it would be red + purple + base colour = ???. It was this none standard base colour which made some dye colours easier to attain for some professions and harder for others. For example its easy to get pink on necro armour as its base colour is red, so it would be red + purple + red(base colour) = dark pink, however this isn't so easy with assasin as red + purple + blue (base colour) = a dark purple. I should point out that on some armour sets this doesn't happen and its not glitched. Now for EOTN it seems that they reset the base colour to red for all armours bought in EoTN So even though you get grey armour, it's base colour is still red and will mix with the dye combo you add to it, thus theoretically making it easier to dye EoTN armours pink than their none EoTN counterparts. -- Salome 10:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
I understand. Thnx for the info, never knew that. --MageMontu 11:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pink issues

Hi Draconus! I wish you all the luck I can with the event. Im sorry that your guild officer past away. That was a great memorial speech for him. Anyway, moving on.

I was wondering if a flames eye counts as pink. Its the only pink thing I have, and I dont want to let the district im in down by being the only person not wearing pink. This does mean that I will be naked elsewhere, sorry if that ruins celebrations. --Burning Freebies 19:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Nah it's not a problem at all! We don't want people to not show up, with or without pink. Feel free to wear (or not wear :P ) what you'd like Master Saji 17:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Weekend events

Please note that the Weekend events article is for posting official Anet/GW related weekend events, and not player-hosted ones (such as this).--Fighterdoken 21:59, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

That's nice and all but what does it have to do with Pink Day? It's under community-hosted events...Master Saji 06:01, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
We had two anons adding the event earlier. Wanted to be sure it didn't happend again.--Fighterdoken 06:04, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, dunno who did that, but twas not Saji or Me, sorry about the mess. -- Dragonlord Tony 20:48, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nice work!

It was a great event for the 20 minutes i stayed there. Nice to see most people there with pink. Lazy guild didnt need to die armour, there cape turned pink for them! Nice to see community spirit throughout the event, and people learning from those facts. 2 districts full (i think they were). If only those spamming traders and recruiters would shut up and let us get on with the event! Why would anyone want to join a guild in the middle of an important event, and when all of the people there were already in decent guilds? Nice to see lots from my guild joining in as well.

Overall, a success. Well done DRGN! --Burning Freebies 20:00, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank's for showing your support! Saji was the mastermind behind all of this from the start. He took care of all the details and plans, we just did whatever we could to help him make it bigger and better than last year. Thanks to BladeRadio, KISS and LaZy we got a giant boost. Now the only question is, how are we going to top this next year? :) -- Dragonlord Tony 08:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, thats a problem. More publicity and guilds to help you? Its nice to see James, leader of my guild, taking part, and Daniel frozenwind aids another community event. Lots of people i know got involved. If only i had such a big part... --Burning Freebies 18:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
