I worked on the vanquisher title and came up with 214 foes killed and earned 1,070 experience and 642 gold. Tedium 01:46, 20 April 2007 (EDT)

I also worked on Vanquisher Title and had 205 foes killed. Also noted that shrine outside of Kamadan gave Plant Bounty and shrine outside of the Sunspear Great Hall gave Insect Bounty. Didn't know if there is a difference (I haven't checked Regular mode yet) between Hard mode and regular mode.--MeeaBrazenHussy 11:19, 20 April 2007 (EDT)

Hmm, me three. Mine was around the 203-205 mark. Possibly it doesn't count "un-popped-up" groups of Slithers, etc. The drop rate is phenomenal - 6 max or near-max golds in that run. --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 11:20, 20 April 2007 (EDT)

Just did it with Zaishen Elite active -> Clocked 195 foes. 151.213.163.243 13:23, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

I picked up 4 gold items also-- but I went out to check shrines in Regular mode and I don't have a character at the moment that is low enough to check them.--MeeaBrazenHussy 11:38, 20 April 2007 (EDT)
I didn't notice any difference at any of the bounty shrines, and I'm fairly certain my group checked them all. - Katscratched User Katscratched Sig.gif
After checking again- it appears to me that the Insect Bounties and Plant Bounties on this page are reversed, the one that says Insect Bounty should be the Plant Bounty, and the one that is listed as Plant Bounty should be Insect Bounty. Being new, I didn't want to edit the article without checking with a few people first.MeeaBrazenHussy 20:21, 20 April 2007 (EDT)

Changed Insect and Plant locations --Jimmy 21:10, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

1050xp, 1050gold. Took a little over an hour, but 20 minutes was blown on finding that last damn plant. Otherwise, just an hour. VanguardUser-VanguardAvatar.PNG 12:55, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Came up with 203 enemies for vanquisher just now. Canthan character. Oh, and from the reward, dropped gold, and merch'ed loot, I made about 5k on the vanquish. Not bad considering it went towards a title and took about an hour. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Toastgodsupreme (talk • contribs) at 16:23, June 7, 2008 (UTC).

Yep, not bad at all. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 03:37, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Vanquishing Elona has been incredibly profitable overall. 5-6k in gold and merchable drops per zone, on top of reward. I love it. Kirenne Starfire [Kw] 05:59, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
I attempted to vanquish this area and it got to 217 and there were no more enemies left but it wasn't counted as vanquished. I also got no items better than a Blue and no Tomes of any kind.--64.12.117.75 03:06, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Vanquishing[edit]

I just did this and received the reward for killing 209 foes (one of them being a flamingo out of sheer frustration). My bags are full of purples and i'm ready to head home : ) 61.68.70.27 03:58, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I did the vanquish with 192 foes and got 1015 gold and 1015 XP. It is really frustrating that there are repeated shrines that give bounties for insects, plants and skale and none for mandragor. 84.39.80.233 23:16, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I've just finished it and Vanquished 209 foes and got 1045 gold and, 1045 XP and 1045 Sunspear Pts [DAZE]

188foes, 58min, vanq/mapping. Not a hard zone since alot of it will be individuals(90% of the map is 4vs2 at worst) and large mobs are really just singles and at most tripples bunched together (longbow them). Lots of physicals (nothing deadly) and enough hexes to piss you off (nothing more). Crippling Anguish is buffed now so its very annoying (at best). If anything take a hex removal so your not gimping around for 20seconds; Ai will typically burn off Lightning Surge before it ends aswell. I started at sunspear great hall and killed insects to kamadan. Cleared that half of the map and made for the Astralarium then cleared south into the swamps. At most you will kill 2-5 foes without a bounty (minus the mandragors/no bounty). Justice 07:12, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

I was doing a Vanquish last week and ran into a bug; the Vanquish was completed but there were still enemies alive. They were the popup Mandragors. I don't know how to edit the page and post that but will someone do it for me? If you need Screen conformation, email me at gaop@live.com and I will reply with the screenshot. --71.114.185.146 04:08, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Did you pop the foes after the vanquish completed? Hidden foes do not count towards the vanquish, so that's perfectly normal. Or were they already popped and waiting when you completed? That sounds impossible with what we currently know about how vanquishing works. I'm afraid a screenshot is not enough to distinguish between these two possibilities, since the same screenshot can be taken under both circumstances. Jafar 04:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Corsairs?[edit]

Anyone else ever happen to come across corsairs on the NW shore? I was just getting some SS points for new char, and there were a few group of them. I checked and no quests active. Anyone else come across this?Sox11 16:45, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I have farmed the insect hunt on the plains many times, and yes north of the sunspear hall I have met them. I always wondered if they were somehow linked to that quest where you guide a fella from Kamadan to the sunspear hall... It appeared quite randomly and I have not seen it for many months now dispite regular farming MrPaladin talk 16:49, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
After years of playing this game, I just ran into that corsair spawn for the first time (while doing a vanquish). Also, I have completed all available quests in Istan, so I am pretty sure it is not quest dependent. I will add what data I have to the wiki, but I do not have the normal mode levels of the enemies. Farming Solo[edit]

This is a great area for solo farming hard mode with a spirit spam build, even as a 2nd profession. Use a long bow to stay outside of radar range to pull 1 enemy mob to your spirits, and run away to keep a distance. Let the spirits do all the work. If you're a primary ritualist, then set necro secondary to raise a minion or two to help. You'll get all of the experience, all of the drops and gold. Take advantage of the grenth blessings for ritualist buffs.

Cartographer[edit]

I'm trying to complete cartographer, but there's this annoying point on the north east of the map that I can't seem to get to. See picture - I have tried getting it from the Docks and Kamadan, but no luck :( Any ideas?

--The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zantarel (talk) at 13:14, 20 November 2014 (UTC).

What you need to do is talk to Yahir on the north side of Kamadan and enter the Sunspear Arena. That should get you the mapping you need there. - Alexis Toran (talk) 14:27, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks that worked perfectly!! --Zantarel (talk) 11:38, 22 November 2014 (UTC)

Farming?[edit]

Does anyone ever want non-max insciptions found on blue weapons? The only decent ones that drop on blues are m4m, rpd-2wE and rpd-2wS, also maybe +5e^50% and +5e/ench, the rest are non-max junk. Skale fins are much better farmed in Zehlon Reach as well since many of the skale in Plains of Jarin are level 2 and can't drop skale fins. I won't remove the advice, but is it really good advice? 71.169.186.101 21:01, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

"If you do not get at least four juvenile termites from the initial pool which contains 13 termites" <--- I believe the ip is talking about how many juvenile termite legs you get. I tested and it seems to _always_ be 13 juvenile termites with 2 irontooth drakes. I wonder if he is using heros/hench which have drops assigned to them that the player never sees. I really wish mr. Ip who added the section would stop by again and explain his farming methods, solo? with a party due to character level? what is the extent of his farming run? does he basically just kill anything and everything in plains of jarin? 5.28.62.85 18:42, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
