Slaying the demon for bonus[edit]

Doesnt seem to be needed, I got all objectives while letting him slay the guards... I did watch though, so that might be needed.

Maybe the guards were able to kill it =P--84.192.6.24 21:10, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Happened to me, if you let the guards kill it you'll still get the bonus regardless of you actually touching it or not. They take forever, though, so you might as well kill it yourself.--Keeper of Divine 21:30, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Problem: Margrid[edit]

Hi everybody, i have this prob with this mission as i kinda overlooked this mission & went on in the game. As stated you need Margrid to play the mission, but i'm allready further with missions after this one, resulting that i have chosen Master of Whispers somewhere (further) to be my unlocked hero. Now i can't seem to find Margrid anymore in order to play the mission ... Does anyone have any suggestions regarding this foolish step i made ??? --Bigfeet E 15:58, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

the only way to do the mission now then is to either be in a party with someone who has Margrid, or finish NF, in the explorable area at the end of the game (after you've done the finale mission) you'll see all the heroes, and you can talk to the ones them and get the quests needed to get them if you haven't already. ~ PheNaxKian User PheNaxKian sig.jpg 16:02, 21 September 2009

Add a Hard Mode Section![edit]

I have no idea what to bring for HM.74.173.107.209 12:35, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

It's not a particularly tricky mission. Any team build that can handle HM should be able to do it. The only parts you really have to be careful about are not aggroing too many Kournans at once; and keeping the NPCs out of range of the final ele boss. -- Hong 14:17, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Cartography[edit]

I was tearing my hair out over how to 'get' the circle of water south of the prison; I read in various places that watching the cutscene (as party leader) and/or skipping it would uncover it, and also that it was possible to move around on the boat, but that didn't seem to be working for me at all. What did work, however, was trying to move around the moment the cutscene appeared. That maybe messed something up because when the camera angle changed to show the "We'll get you back to Istan..." part of the scene, my character was not visible as it would normally be... at that point I hit Skip (seen this thing way too many times recently :p) and... circle uncovered, and 100.0% achieved. Just thought I'd mention my experiences here in case somebody else is as stuck as I was with that pesky circle ;) -- Splodge of Cat 12:24, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

"Using your keyboard to move around during the end mission cinematic will contribute about 0.1% to the Elonian Cartographer title."-Mission page; I wish I saw this earlier, now I need to go back and re-do the mission.--Keeper of Divine 21:36, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

I have tried both of the above methods to get that circle and I still don't have it.....what am I missing? JSYantiss 21:10, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

I cannot believe how many times I needed to do this mish to get that freaking circle. The advice to start button-mashing before the cutscene even starts helped immensely; the last time I did this, I saw my character moving around on the boat when it first crossed the screen from left, and in the section when Kormir, Margrid, Shahai and my character were talking, my character was at the lower left of the screen and did move offscreen at points. Basically I button-mashed like mad (Q, E, WASD, even Z and X) during the whole thing, even while Bayel and the Hunger were talking. The instructions on the main page were not really specific or emphatic enough. 67.248.86.3 21:32, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

I understand how you feel. I noticed that even if the character does move durgin the cutscene, the circle isn't guaranteed to be unlocked--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 09:02, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Ditching outfits[edit]

Does anyone else think it's strange that Margrid says we should ditch our outfits after rescuing Kormir? She said the place will be crawling with soldiers, so it would make more sense to leave the disguises on; we're easy targets without them. I always found that funny. lol Tender WolfUser Tender Wolf sig.png

Entering to prison[edit]

I noticed that when you tell the wrong password to guard when getting to prison, and he and surrounding kournans turn hostile, a couple of Kournan captains ran from somewhere to help me with the killing. Found it quite funny to see Kournans killing each others.--Barbe-Q Michael 03:49, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Don't know if anyones noticed but once the hostile enemy kournans spawn, due to triggers such as the above mention plus the one after reaching Kormir, they procede to eliminate all the friendly kournan npcs (I've seen corpses of the previous npcs since I ran speed buffs and the corpses didn't disapear in time)-Wrei110.175.241.56 02:08, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Lieutenant Nali...not a boss?[edit]

Earlier today I say that I could capture Enchanter's Conundrum from Lieutenant Nali in this mission. Considering I needed to do the mission as well I hoped in and gave it a whirl. After freeing Kormir I started heading back as per the mission - crossed the bridge and encountered Lieutenant Nali's group, only with one hiccup - Lieutenant Nali did not have a boss aura, nor did killing him/her grant a morale boost. Trying to use the signet of capture resulted in a no boss corpse message. Can anyone else confirm this? 173.178.226.182 21:55, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

This is still a boss. File:User Chieftain Alex Lieutenant Nali.jpg.--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 11:17, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Explanation of Edit and Violation[edit]

GWW:MISSIONS outlines that a "Walkthrough" (including the "Bonus") section is a requirement for "Mission" pages. A "Walkthrough" is defined as "a step-by-step demonstration of a procedure or process or a step-by-step explanation of it as a novice attempts it."

This information is to include "Rich details" including locations and references to the mission map, the scope of a walkthrough is an "explanation" and should read as such, not a "summary" of "powerpoints", use of words like simplifying, combining like ideas, rephrasing, etc. does not warrant a reformat of a long time established wiki page.

It is believed that the violation was made within the wikipedia guidelines of "Goodfaith" and no disrespect is intended to be conveyed TheRealGriz 19:36, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Walkthrough[edit]

Just for the record, I found the previous revision more helpful than the current (pre 28th April) Should be reverted IMO. Tong2 20:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

You forgot to explain your reasoning, empty message. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 06:16, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

I also have a question regarding the Walkthrough: "Since Margrid the Sly is a required hero, she can be used to lure the third group". Why specifically Margrid? Can't any hero or henchman be used in the same manner? If Margrid is in the 8th slot, you can't flag her by herself. Just curious if I'm missing some detail. 76.164.65.219 06:17, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Since you are rescuing NPCs that must survive and follow the player, its unwise to try to pull the Kourna patrol by yourself. Better use the hero or henchman so NPCs remain behind with the player. It's safety precautionary advise. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 06:23, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I understand that, because the NPCs are attached to my avatar. I was asking about the statement that suggests using Margrid because she's a required hero. Any hero in the party should be possible, or is there something else specific about Margrid? 76.164.65.219 06:28, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Any hero can do the job, this advise is usefull for Zaishen Mission days, if your team has other 6 players, Margrid will be the only hero. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 06:31, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I understand. Thank you. 76.164.65.219 06:37, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Kormir's behavior[edit]

Can someone confirm this: "Kormir follows the party leader, never attacks and rarely uses skills except for "Incoming!""? I've never actually seen Kormir do anything. The paragon prisoner shouts "Incoming!" even before you rescue Kormir.--98.114.178.63 23:33, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Vabbi Guard[edit]

The presence of a single Vabbi Guard seems to be an anomaly, especially considering the other NPCs' dialogue concerning the planned invasion. His own dialogue (about being treated for a centaur bite) adds no explanation, and there seems to be no reason in the lore for him to be there. Mist Y (talk) 13:23, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Mission end trigger?[edit]

What is the trigger for mission end? Is it just reaching end of the pier, or is it necessary to kill some/all bosses on the way back? Since Shadow meld is understood to work without range restriction, if trigger is just pier end, would it be possible to use Shadow Meld on the way to prison, and after freeing Kormir, just stop maintaining to get teleported back to pier and end mission instantly?
