With all the undead bosses and abundance of undead, this would be a good place for that final title of Sunspear Farming if you can put together a party capable of killing them in hard mode. Though I cant seem to get past any group with two accolates. Shireen 15:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

For Sunspear farming, I would rather go to The Sulfurous Wastes, jump in wurms, and slaughter undead there. I've had the same problem as you with defeating these guys without wurms. I've been trying to vanquish this zone with my warrior using only heroes and henchmen. I haven't tried to go Ursan on it yet, but all other options I've tried so far have failed. If anyone has a viable strategy on how to take out these rez-heavy groups, please do share. --Thervold 17:49, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Frozen Soil. Did it H/H last night with my monk (gogosmite) with Pyre Fierceshot keeping frozen soil up. No res, no problem.Cassie 09:49, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
I finally completed vanquishing this with a guild mate. I found if you have The Hallowed Point active, that staff really comes in handy. I made a suicide run to drop it amongst Droajam and his Sandstorm buddies. With enough patience, it eventually killed all the Sandstorm Crags, leaving Droajam alone to die to Pain Inverter. --Thervold 05:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

It is always wise to bring a dervish or two with avatar of balthazar and misticism PBAoE skills or a smiting monk. Holy dmg is doubled to undead and it makes them die quite quickly.. And of course Frozen Soil is a must.

Daze is love. And with that in Mind, Droajam posed very little threat during my vanquish of this area. Mr Ether Prism, on the other hand... spawned with a couple carvers and 3 effigies... SO MUCH SPELL IMMUNITY! - VileLasagna 21:28, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

3 Discord necros, 2 spirit spammers, Motigon, and a ranger with BHA and frozen soil turns this zone into cheese. Just make sure you have Pain inverter for the earth elementals, preferably with an echo of some sort. 115.64.226.234 14:34, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

187 foes ~ 35 min. There are a few dangerous intersections with multiple patrol paths -- especially outside the Lair of the Forgotten. There are some dangerous groups, but they're pretty susceptible to caster shutdown and pain inverter. Pain Inverter is a godsend vs. Elementalist bosses and this area was no exception. It made short work of both Droajam and Mekir the Primsmatic. Droajam's group of crag is probably the most dangerous part of the area aside from one group with 3 margonite elementalists that nearly spiked me down with lightning spells, fortunately, it was a small group. Dealing with the smaller groups of Shambling Mesas and Crags takes a little while, but after getting through that it's mostly more average sized patrols. Nothing too, too difficult. I did bring Frozen Soil.--LunarRXA (talk) 17:09, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Pile of rocks[edit]

Anyone know what the Pile of Rocks in the eastern part / just north of Lair of the Forgotten is about? Mirar 15:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

It's part of the quest for A New Guide. I'll go and add a red link to that quest article. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 15:09, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Anomaly[edit]

In the area where Droajam stand there is giant skeleton that, one could think, can be used to take advantage of the terrain, an aspect that was often promoted by Anet. Beware, like many other areas in the game, the collision mesh was made with the level builder's feet. If you attempt to use the aperture of the giant skeleton you will discover that althought you can walk through it, all projectiles are obstructed, transforming a well planed assault into some more love for the devs who think that the player can see those invisible obstructing walls. Be assured Anet, you who want the players to discover things by themselves, that we never cease to be pleased by our discoveries. Yseron - 90.9.252.141 20:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Monoliths[edit]

Although I don't know if they only spawn during The Hallowed Point quest, they do appear in the region. I will not bother checking for quest-only spawn, I'm lazy, but at least they're added. 94.254.82.162 20:41, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
