Skill Tweaks 07/26/07[edit]

  • Pure was Li Ming: 30r -> 20r
  • Please discuss skill change here. ~Izzy @-'---- 23:35, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Better, but I'm not sure what you're trying to do with it so I can't help you much. I'm not sure an item spell that costs 10 energy is worth the slot for condition removal, since it kills your weapon benefits, but the cost balances out the conditions removed. Are you trying to give secondary Rits some decent self-condition removal? User GD Defender sig.png 19:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

At 1 second cast, this will never see use as a decent self-condition removal in a pinch. At best this is a supercharged Extinguish with less range and still too long recharge. --Tensei 00:29, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I think it's very good. There are a lot of conditions spamming builds out there. If i had to fight versus a zergway or an heroway i would want it in my skillbar. It's powerful, but only in certain situations. I think it's ok this way. Good job. --YukoIshii 19:41, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Tweaked Version Feedback 07/26/07[edit]

Much better, now at least you can decide to use this as only ashpot in a build if required. Can likely see play. Patccmoi 02:23, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Definately improved this way, it could see some play.. although I still wonder about its balance vs the rest of the meta. Comparing it to monk condition removal, its about half the cost per condition removed, but can't be used nearly as often and removes conditions indescriminately. reducing the duration of conditions on yourself is a nice plus, although weather that counters its slow rate of removal is hard to say. Its pretty unique in how many conditions it can remove simultainiously, which is the primary interesting thing about it. Its improved, although weather it is enough is yet to be seen. Aksharack 03:27, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Agreed.

Will be pretty effective against Tainted Flesh / Toxicity. Heroway is getting a little old, I suppose.--Skye Marin 04:09, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Again, great rework. This is a valuable skill now.LordSojar 06:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Is it intended, that it doesn't say "Hold her ashes for up to x seconds" (meaning you may drop it prematurely)? Also, shouldn't this be listed as "Item spell"? Tele 08:40, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Original skill feedback[edit]

Li Ming must be very pure lol, this is some serious condition removing.

Seems to require a boost, compared to say resilient was xiko or some of the other party condition removers... drop recharge to 20 sec maybe?203.217.0.53 03:33, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

If Guild Wiki is correct in talk comments on FeatherFoot Grace and Spirit of Recovery then this skill is another gateway to condition immunity in combination with either of those (or EoN Purifying Veil). I've been meaning to test those myself but I guess I'll just wait for EoN to come out first. ;) Crystalion 03:57, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

talking about balance, it seems correct, not really powerfull. 88.169.112.155 10:46, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd say it's a fair skill. A non-elite skill capable of Martyr or Cauterization Signet forms of condition removal, just with a higher recharge.--Skye Marin 07:07, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Easier?[edit]

I don't get it, why don't you just drop it to get rid of the conditions you have instead of making then expire faster? Wouldn't that be easier?--70.65.166.45 16:03, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

well if you just have bleeding on you, it's better to just let it last its now shorter duration, and save the drop for helping your whole team. --WiNG 17:57, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

When dropped, does conditions on you are removed too?--ShadowFog 04:41, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

lolgrammar, but yes does conditions on you are removed. ~ WELL HELLO Chao 12:21, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Me thank you with this dollar.--ShadowFog 17:14, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Combined with Recovery[edit]

At 15 Restoration, using this and Recovery out, Conditions expire 100% faster, wouldnt that make them expire instantly? 24.250.3.128 23:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I would assume that the ashes come first, meaning that the spirit reduces the time by 50% of the 50%, or 75% faster. Still pretty fast. Kuma Pageworks 06:18, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Graphics Bug[edit]

The 'boing' and graphics for the end of the condition reduction on this spell occurs after 20 seconds, regardless of when you drop the ashes. Not a big deal, but distracting in the middle of a fight. Kuma Pageworks 06:17, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Just surprised that their isn't a trivia bit here about Ming Li, from the film Full Metal Jacket, as it seems a fairly obvious reference to me. Maybe my mind is just in the gutter or maybe it's just too tenuous. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 15:15, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

LI MING, MING LI. Two separate names. This is just like the Sousuke argument. "OMG TYPICAL ASIAN NAME, MUST BE REFERENCE TO _____". Removed. No evidence or relation at all. How about the singer or footballers named Li Ming? --Norrukki User Norrukki SigIcon.png 02:57, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Apart from the fact that "pure was..." could be an ironic play on the fact that Ming Li was a skanky hooker who made the line "Me love you long time, 10 dolla" immortal. I wasn't saying all asian names sound the same, just that it could very well be a reference to the character. You know Irony and all that? "Pure was Li Ming" when "Skanky was Ming Li". However it might just be a coincidence. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 23:03, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

The family names in China, Korea, Japan and Vietnam come first, so ANet could have switched them. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.109.58.197 (talk).

Powerful Condition Removal[edit]

Looking at some the older comments here, I don't understand how some people are against using this skill. At a high enough restoration magic attribute this skill essentially removes all conditions (how often are you stacked with more than four conditions?) from ALL allies in earshot. It's not even limited to party members, and it can do this every twenty seconds. The reduction of condition duration on self is really just a tacked on bonus. This is a powerful skill. 172.56.34.71 20:54, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
