There appears to be a really annoying bug in this mission atm.

Before you get to the Necro boss on the stairs, there is a ritualist that is "obstructed" to attacks from players. It does take damage but not from me ^^

It takes henches, minnions and heros ages to kill it. This makes it impossible to complete Masters in Hard Mode.

Grrrrr

Finally!!!! Did it!!! Hard Mode

1 Bonder Rit splinter weapon, Life barrier, Pain Inverter and celestial skill.

1 Barrage Ranger (me) Pain Inverter and celestial skill.

2 Hundred Blades, armour of earth + stoneflesh aura sword tanks (heros).

1 MM Order of undeath, death nova, well of the profane, heal area (hero).

2 Searing flames, AoE Fire mages with Glyph of Ele power (heros).

1 Healer Word of Healing.

H&H HM[edit]

H&H only.. no second person. I didnt complete this mission untill my third try. It took me a while to get my builds set correctly. One of my main problems is that i was using a bomber/prot mm. The minions were so low level even with a sup deth rune on the hero that they would just die and he couldnt keep up more then 6 minions. I switch to a mm that had sustainable higher lvl minions and dropped death nova for rising bile.

TIME: 17:42

ME: w/mo ursan lvl 6 I didnt use the special skills given in this mission.

Heroes: Necro/ jagged bones, shambeling horror, bone fiend, bone minions (just to get built up to 10 minions, then disable bm)rising bile, darkbond.(bom vetras sacrifice..... Necro/mes ss,barbs, empathy, mark of pain, epidemic..... E/Rt fire nuker, glyph of ele power. meteor shower splinter weapon. fire 15,energy 10,channeling 10.

Henchie: healer protector erys vasburg (mes) aeson (rt)Micro 17:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Did it first try HM H&H. I was the exact PvX R/Rt spirit farmer build + PvX Sabway heroes. Henchies were the two warriors, elementalist, protection. Took Talon and Danika. I did it in 19:25, but I was screwing around and got turned around in a couple parts. Ligglered 21:22, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Got about 15 mins HM HH with the PvX Spirit Farmer, PvX Sabway builds, same henchman as above + Talon and Danika. 98.154.78.244 08:43, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
I kinda prefer taking Danika and Cynn rather than Talon.--74.103.157.38 04:58, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

Bug

Discovered when doing this mission if you have celestial skill. If you use ursan and you haven't already used the celestial skill it isn't available when you exit ursan. Also if you kill a boss while in ursan skill isn't available when come out, is annoying especially when in hard mode.--Dan Mocha 11:21, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Discord-way[edit]

Did this with a guildie, both of us were running the PvX-version of Discord-spam (with different spirits, ofc). 12 minutes in HM, master's being 25min >< PvX: Goodnight L A

Yeah discordway pretty much owns this mission, GG. Also, I'm assuming that you ment to put = signs instead of : signs, right? Green Arrow 02:58, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

The Walkthrough[edit]

of this mission is not exactly helpful. Kill the elementalist boss fast? Gee whiz. >_x I'll try and work on one! :D Green Arrow 02:59, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Timer[edit]

The article states that the timer doesn't start until you choose two NPCs and walk through the gate. For the hell of it, I started a stopwatch as soon as I did that. I got through the mission on Hard Mode after 16:28 on my stopwatch, but my official time as reported after the mission was 17:22 - nearly a full minute off. Are we certain that the timer doesn't start at an earlier time, like, when you take a skill from Kuunavang, or when you first zone in? That's the only way I can account for the enormous time discrepancy. -Ninjatek 18:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

The boss timer doesn't start until you choose henchmen. The "How long have you been in this instance" starts the moment you load. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 19:04, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
I didn't clock how long I'd been in the instance. When you complete a timed mission, and it says "Mission completion time...", it's referring to the time it took you to do the mission from start (whenever that may be) to finish, correct? It's not the equivalent of /age, correct? The discrepancy still stands. -Ninjatek 19:43, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Thing is, My question stems from playing with partners who have poor load time. If the timer starts as soon as you have loaded, players who take as much as 30 seconds.. sometimes more, are unfair to the fast-load players, thus, the timer SHOULD load when the Gate opens, right? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Foxfire (talk).

I found that using Danika and Nika works best for master reward. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.242.239.218 (talk).

Won't continue[edit]

another bug, didnt kill one of the bosses, won't let mission finish even after killing last 3 bosses

From the Notes section: "You must defeat all eight of the Shiro'ken bosses in order to complete the mission. This prevents the mission from being easily run by a single person." --Silver Edge 08:41, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Argos[edit]

Argos is the Porkins of GW because of this mission. Nuff said. Dervish-tango-icon-20.pngDevi 16:13, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Throne Platform[edit]

I've noticed if you run past the final bosses and end up on the throne platform with Shiro and the Emporer, you get auto-killed and fail the mission. *Malganis Frostmourn* 99.48.31.204 15:53, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Easy.[edit]

This mission is easy in HM/NM. Just bring Damage, healing and a paragon hero with "Can't Touch This!" to counter Star Burst and you should be good.

Did it in HM in 17 minutes Masters. Did it on my 2nd try. I left the mission on my first once the Eles took half my partys's HP with Star Burst. Brought Can't touch this and took almost no damage.

No Trick Builds Needed (Henchmen Only)[edit]

You can master this mission, it is just a matter of taking the correct henchmen (no heroes) and picking up the 2 helpers. My beast master ranger Kukull Phanto Pyped took Talon Silverwing and Danika to assist. If you use a ranger as I did, I didn't bother with the dragon skill I had Whirling Defense which is more or less the same skill as Celestial Stance. I also had Distracting Shot on her build but I believe this combination will work for almost any build. Then I composed my team of Redemptor Karl, Sister Tai, Kai Ying, Aeson, Erys Vasburg, Devona, and Brutus. Take your time for the fights you have 20 minutes to master it.

The first time I ran the mission, I missed master by 10 seconds... I am not speaking to my husband for a while. --Wendy Black 04:42, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Alternatively, consider Cynn and Danika to aid you in the mission. The henchmen to select are Lukas, Daeman, Redemptor Carl, Sister Tai, Eryl Vasburg, Kai Ying, and Aeson. Assuming they survive until their aid is applied, Cynn will allow any party to dish out additional AoE via Mind Burn (this skill was vastly improved with the Elementalist rebalance of 2012) and Fireball, whereas Danika will use the very powerful heal Word of Healing to keep any party member on full health. Be extremely wary of Danika's Healing Touch, though. Especially around the Elementalist boss halfway into the mission, which sports Star Burst. Once Cynn triggers her help during the mission, rush forward so that Danika may do the same. This breaks any previous aggro, leaving you only to worry about the enemies that are behind you after Danika's cutscene. The player can bring just about any build at this point, although you may end up in the 19 minute mark if you do not continue moving. Skipping the minor cutscenes can shave off a little bit of extra time, but is in no way necessary to complete for the Master's reward. - Infinite - talk 06:10, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks old girl!! I got it done in just 17 minutes. I didn't think it was possible. Simon sliced and diced right through the baddies. Simon of Aragon - talk 07:43, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Sudden defeat - what triggers it?[edit]

I just tried to that mission, when I get the message "Your party was defeated" - but I don't see WHY? Mhenlo and Togo are alive, is it because I (the only player) died? It's been a while since I played, is that standard mechanic? I'm not even sure if I died, it happened so suddenly...--Cyberman 11:37, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

If all non-players in your party have no usable resurrection skills then it autowipes your party in missions. Loggy (talk) 12:27, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
Hm. I'd have to double-check, but I'm quite certain they have resurrection skills - I need them, I usually die a lot. And I know a few others died during this mission. Maybe all the monks and I died? Weird.--Cyberman 15:49, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
When the player dies and all allies with resurrection skills have died and/or die before any of you are revived, it considers the party as "wiped." This means defeat during missions and other such areas. In areas with active shrines you will notice the revive timer appears once these conditions are met, even if other party members are still alive and possibly fighting. If you find that these were not the conditions that were applicable to your situation, we'll try to reproduce this odd event. - Infinite - talk 20:59, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
