Kill count[edit]

Defeated 237 foes in order to vanquish zone. Aule Ainu 8/19/07

Defeated 256 foes. The ele boss has a WIDE patrol. Spent an hour looking for him to finish up. KStarfire 07:05, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
His group wiped me when I raged in unprepared. When I returned and waited on the spot where I got killed for 30 minutes he didn't return. Eventually I found him on the path down to Seafarer's Rest. EyeContact 01:23, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

New upper limit for vanquish? Got 276 foes with Outcasts in the Quarry active, can post screenshot of it if wanted. 87.80.202.156 22:46, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

247 foes for vanquish, Ele boss hits hard if you rush in like a fool like I did... Dante Broekhart 16:34, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Dragon[edit]

Hmm, I'm vanquishing right now and next to that Devout boss, there's like a big water dragon/centipede/dragon in GW2?--Ʀєʟʟɑ 16:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

It's Leviathan Spawn, and the same as this one --Arduinna talk 18:56, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Area naming[edit]

Gotta ask, why is it called, "Rhea's Crater"? Did a meteor hit here? --68.82.225.152 02:23, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Elder Rhea is pretty much a boss there and they carved out a big hole in the jade sea so just Rhea's Crater though Rheas Excavation or Rhea's Strip Mine (with some connotations) could've been better. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 01:37, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I think it named aftre 14th moon of Saturn "Rhea"(alternate name "Saturn V"). Rhea have crator named "Yu-Ti" it mean "the Jade Emperor" in English.Sophia@OoZE 02:21, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

rit boss[edit]

the map for boss locations incorrectly shows her location, her article has the correct location.

Encounter with Oni[edit]

Has anyone else noticed the 12-Oni spawn in this map? I know ANet doesn't like runners, but putting 12 Oni, bodyblocking both sides of a bridge where one has no alternative but to cross sure screws over the edge-scraping by running method. 141.165.170.209 21:21, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

vanqing[edit]

234 foes, 54min, vanq/maping. Its a wierd map with lots of hillish obstackles but it flows pretty smooth reguardless. The only "tough" part is the ele boss. You engage a small dragon mob and his mob is hidden around a corner so you may not realize hes there aswell. I cant say wether hes a hard hitter or not simply because one of my mercs is setup as an ST Rit ;-) . I feel comfortable saying most of the foes here are physicals and most of the mobs here end up being a 2 v 1 fight so you shouldnt have any problems beyond simply over aggroing a patrol or 2 and then maybe a boss mob. Perhaps the only caution would be that the patrols meet up at certain junctions and that the necros use chillblains for mass enchant removal. Grab the outpost Aurious Mines after the vanq. I didnt know this zone existed till the ZV i picked up (and ignored for like a week) and didnt know about the town untill the vanq. Justice 01:19, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

I would also like to add that this place is very good for farming faction. Leaving from Aurios Mines you can take a path that encounters every foe in the area, with a clear in about 30 minutes. This nets between 15k and 18k Faction. Also since The Aurios Mines is the challenge mission, I don't think the border can cross it, so you'll always be able to get the bounty outside. It's been handy for me since I have trouble getting a team for Fast Faction Farming.

Foes[edit]

Vanquished this area many times yesterday (ZQ) and didn't see one Leviathan Claw (currently listed on the foes list). I also don't recall ever seeing any here. Perhaps they were all killed by Outcasts prior to my arrival, but more likely the listing is an error. Lord Flynt 17:18, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Resurection bug?[edit]

When you start from Seafarer's Rest and die, you will respawn at the shrine in the middle of the map, even you talked to the priest close to the city and walked around it. Might this be a bug? Lytalm 19:04, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

It's not a bug, really. I can't recall the details, but it has something to do with faction. Basically, the res shrine hasn't activated, and that is the only neutral shrine. - AdarkTheCoder 05:47, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Centipedes? In my Crater??[edit]

...Considering it was one of the "Landmarks" visited in the recent Reverie, isn't it time it was documented on this page? --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 18:14, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Delic the Vengeance Seeker[edit]

Updated location on the interactive map, spent quite a while looking for her! She was in this location (https://guildwiki.gamepedia.com/media/guildwiki.gamepedia.com/6/6a/Delic_the_vengeance_seeker_location.jpg?version=2defd347d2b004d46b0abdd933d17488) 86.4.127.75 20:48, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

foes hostile to each other[edit]

The fish are all hostile to the afflicted and the outcasts; so are most of the oni (the bridge spawns are allied to the outcasts and hostile to the fish). By pulling carefully, I was able to get over 200 foes killed without killing any of them myself. I'm not sure if that's appropriate information for this page, but it does seem worth knowing.
