????[edit]

I am seriously confused here.... why in the world was this nerfed? It no longer sacrifices health but just removes health from you. You end up losing the exact same percentage as the previous sacrifice stats, but you no longer trigger Dark Aura for damage, nor do you prevent half of the self-damage under Aura of the Lich. Very few skills are buffed and nerfed, but what could the purpose of this skill be under the change? Was there some dominating epidemic of Rip Enchant users under AotL that I didn't know about? --arredondo 01:56, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Buff[edit]

No downside, cheap, fast, very short recharge for an enchant removal, and changes the color of the opposing team's health bars(bleeding isn't deadly)...this looks rather strong now. Put on a mes for an easy prot removal for every spike, and it's a pretty good skill. Oh yeah, and it now REVERSES mending! ZOMGZ! 71.31.153.138 00:44, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

LOL... no more health sacrifice, nice. Izzy buffed a lot of necro skills, but will that make them more popular in GvG, there is really no need to make necros stronger in PvE, they are already powerhouses there. Not so much related to this buff, but to the others. --Longasc 01:40, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Nice buff. And 71.31.153.138: you don't remove Mending! It's taboo.--ILLUSiVE 11:21, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
this is Corrupt Enchantment's non-elite counterpart. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 20:36, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
except bleeding is easier to remove. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 20:36, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
The degen effect is not as good as corrupt enchantments, but it's non-elite and gets the enchantment stripping job done just as well as CE. I somewhat hope for a slight buff to CE to make it a little more attractive than this again.169.237.5.54 20:47, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
ILLUSiVE, of course you don't remove mending, (not like you even can if they echo it O_O), but if you're lucky enough to hit another enchantment, such as echo, you can negate the crazy mending regen! Although, once they get off the echo mending, you're still screwed, even with a massive 3 degen skill. 69.40.240.227 20:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Is the bleeding conditional on the enchant removal? — User Edru viransu Cake.JPG Edru/QQ 23:11, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

This + Gash lulz. Or Maiming Spear. Maybe that would be actually good. 91.83.0.26 23:23, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
@Edru, the bleeding is conditional. Just changed the description to match in-game text and also tested it to be sure.--Underwood 23:59, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

godlike skill 62.45.184.229 13:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Simply the best single enchantment removal out there, nothing else even comes close.

Well now... Strip Enchantment is better.--67.224.204.173 00:01, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Related to CE[edit]

i mean they both remove ench and then apply some sort of degen upon ench removal 77.103.216.111 11:49, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

I really don't see why CE has 'elite' status if the only difference is it's a hex instead of a condition. Sure, it can act as a cover hex of some sort, but the real reason for CE being an 'elite' is the cast and recharge rate of removal. RE has nearly the same stats but is non-elite, which makes CE less attractive. Buff CE or nerf RE. One of them must take place for the sake of balancing. --Ulterion 15:06, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

I think it comes down to: conditions are easier to apply and remove than hexes. Remove hex, the standard hex removal, has an 8 second recharge. Dismiss has a 2 second recharge and casts 1/4s faster. --JonTheMon 15:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Lol, Ulterion. Misery 15:16, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Well now there's a bigger reason to take corrupt ench over rip as of day before writing. --Ckal Ktak Technobabble.jpg 18:11, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
