I was just in the UW and could not repeat this quest. Anybody else have this? Link Antilles 02:29, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

It's repeatable, you just have to re-entry UW. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 22:16, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

King Frozenwind[edit]

Since the nerf of the perma 600 etc we are gonna see a nerf on this quest right. I like a tough game to make you think but unless you have a pro full real party team its jsut not gonna happen for this quest. And moreover with the SF/600 nerf how are we going to be able to do this at all, 4 horesman was tough enough and now this one is made impossible.....BUFFING THE QUESTS AND NERFING THE SKILLS BOTH KINDA DOESNT MAKE SENSE.... There were many other ways to hinder the perma/600 other than making the missions harder and skills less for ppl that like balanced teams. If we could rez it wouldnt make much matter but since you get sent back to town and start over everytime its kinda ridiculus to make such an overfarmed place more unusable for non-perma abusing players....

Can someone confirm that the quest objectives and description have been changed from Ice King to King Frozenwind? --User Oneshot O.JPGneshot 09:48, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

NEW DRYDERS[edit]

There are NEW dryders during this quest. They resemble Frostfire Dryders, but are also fire eles. They have the elite skill starburst. 1 or 2 spawn with each group. --68.115.108.135 07:17, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

am certain a dryder with a name something along the lines of Madruk Dhuum spawned at the final Dryder wave. Will be taking a closer look on the quest. --Arduin talk 13:09, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Has anybody been able to pass this quest with a 'normal' balanced team? (No permas/manly spikes/600s) we are wiping in NM cos of the rapid spawns of the dryders and some skeletons of Dhuum. Some groups will break aggro and attack either the reaper or frozenwind :-( --|pixy| 10:19, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Should be at least 1 tank in middle where dryders will spawn or the quest is nearly impossible and for frozenwind spirit spammer is enough . 195.95.208.223 10:22, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
^ thx for the suggestion... will try that tonight. --|pixy| 11:45, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

How many[edit]

We've been doing this quest frequently (and failing), but I was just wondering how many (old dryders), (new) dryders and skeletons spawn with this quest. I'd count them myself but...I'm too busy dying :p Class 14:29, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Video Tutorial[edit]

Will someone please post a video to youtube of a balanced group completing this quest. Moreover, the article for this quest needs a more detailed description of a walkthrough.

That image[edit]

Is out of date on the path of the enemies. The enemies go in two directions to King Frozenwind. -- Konig/talk 23:00, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

Glitch the quest?[edit]

Hi,

I recently did a couple of terraway runs and i came across some unusual R/A t1. He cleared and prepped wastes an did the quest. However the quest was done, it wasn't completed in quest log. After the rest of the quests we tele'd from pits to wastes (still team tele because of 9/10 due to incomplete wastes quest according to quest log). The moment we arrive in wastes, the quest becommes completes, thus 10/10 rdy to go to Dhuum. Does anyone has an idea on how to do this? After talking with friends we thought killing the dryders outside reaper range and don't go back into range, has anyine tested it? ( i will try in incomming week, but idk if it will work because u kill terrorweb queen outside reaper range aswell)

I could be wrong but I think since the update to king frozenwind - his group can manage 4 dryders or something similar in NM - perhaps the r/a gathers the aggro --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 09:39, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Yeah but this was a HM terraway run, and even if the king kills the terrors then the quest should be completed and it wouldn't matter if u'd tele or not, but then again, i'll try this also Da Pink Slayer 13:53, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Me again, i just did a HM terraway run and tried to kill terrors out of reaper range and it wouldnt work (top of cliff near litle cove where the coldfires patrol, about 1 aggro bubble away from the king) also, i accidently passed 2 terrorwebs, one on each side but the king + eles killed the coldies too quick, i couldnt kill mine before he killed his :)

Heres what i gonna try next:

1) kill terrors out of king range (dont know how far terrorweb aggro range is)

2) let the king kill the last terrorweb, and thus the king 'completes' the quest

3) if terrorweb aggro is unlimited, try to kill aggro in labyrinth :p

Here is some knowledge about game mechanics. Whereever is no person is in compass range, nothing interresting happens. Servants of Grenth requires you to be in Compass range of King Frozenwind for the quest to update as completed. You should gather all spawns, kill your skellies first ofcourse and than drag them away from the king, till he is at least out of compass range. The quest then wouldn't update. Though once some player gets in compass range of the king, the quest immediatly updates. The reaper is in compass range of the king so once you team tele to Wastes the quest immediatly updates. Though this is not recommended if you are planning on doing fast runs, like keeping wastes up so you have a team tele after all are done. This tactic requires 1 player to head over to the king and take the quest. It's mutch faster in general to keep Pits quest unupdated, wich requires the same mechanic. Get out of compass range of the souls and reaper before the quest is considered completed.

There are a lot more than 3 waves of 5[edit]

I just tried, figuring on being able to beat 15 pretty easily. Well, after the first wave was killed, and part of the second, we got wiped. I stuck around to count, and found there were 13 dryders and a couple of skeles, and this AFTER killing at least 5-10, plus it was only what I could see from my corpse's position. So, the text that says 3 waves or describes them as a pair plus 1-2 more plus a skele is totally wrong. Daddicus 06:51, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
