Mhenlo[edit]

I have tried the mission three times today. The first time, Mhenlo died. The second time, Mhenlo got stuck. The third time Mhenlo disappeared completely! Is this a bug? Haku Banish 02:04, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

I'd say it's definitely a bug when he gets stuck and disappears, you should report it to the support. I've not heard about this before, not in this mission. - Anja Anja Astor (talk) 03:04, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
What mission? You mean the To Tahnnakai Temple quest? How did he die? Just suddenly died for no reason? If he did, you need to report to Anet. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:56, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
Yup, that's the mission. I completed it today. I accidentally "found" him when I died, he started running towards me from the edge of my compass. Maybe he ran off when I wasn't looking? Haku Banish 09:48, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

Bugged Am Fah Assassin AI?[edit]

I was vanquishing today and any Am Fah Assassin that was in a group of 3 assassins and 1 Am Fah Marksman would just stand there while the Marksman would attack. By just stand there, that's all they did, no movement or skill activation. Groups where there were Am Fah Healers and Necromancers, they behaved normally. 68.185.195.210 21:18, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I had this occur with an entire group of Am Fah in Nahpui Quarter while I was vanquishing a couple days ago. It is probably just a random bug with the Am Fah AI and not in any specific area. Plus, since it doesn't really hurt anything, it's probably not really worth noting. Blood Red Giant 20:26, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Vanquishing Oddity[edit]

When vanquishing the area I killed everything in the place but did not get the vanquishing symbol. Assuming I left something behind I spent an hour running in circles. In desperation I started to walk right up to all the portals where I knew there was nothing that I had previously ignored. As I came up to the portal to Xaquang Skyway I suddenly got the vanquishing symbol. No fight, just 'Ta Da!' your done. So I had killed everything but hadn't been everywhere. This has never happened to me before. Usually when you kill everything you get it and don't need to stomp all over for no reason. Has anyone had this prob before? 74.166.44.177 18:46, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Dark Aidget

it has something to do with a group that walked through the portal, luckily doesnt occur very often (KILL MementoMori 15:42, 21 August 2009 (UTC))

Me too, coming in from Maatu Keep. Spent ages running around until finally went back right up to portal. Very annoying. Could this be put into the notes at the bottom of the main page? Moebius The Malign 17:19, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

I ran around the signpost a few times with a bunch of henchmen and minions. I never noticed anything that even remotely resembled stuck. Plus, I'm pretty sure there's a /stuck command for occasions when you believe you are. Right? I'm just going to remove the "bug" since it clearly doesn't exist and was probably someone just being stupid with a signpost. omg i cnt wlk thru dis sign liek i r stuk! 173.64.119.91 19:21, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

very hard[edit]

don't know how you, guys, do it. This area is very-very hard. I'm crawling. Every boss is 3-5 deaths of my whole H/H until I go through. I gave up. --Rosenfeld 00:49, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Ridiculous[edit]

I spent about an hour and a half vanquishing the area only for a group of more than 20 afflicted to popup right at the end. You can't pull them and the moment you get within range they hit 504 on you with Mind Burn, ROJ you and slow you down. Seriously what were they thinking? Was the guy bored just spamming the input monster button here or something? Anyway, what quest is it that causes this group to popup? Because I'm seriously not convinced it's possible to kill this group.--Kryzz 01:58, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

There are four quests (see: Notes in the main article) that affect spawns in the area. You could check to see if you have any active. The article also notes two bosses which always have reinforcements spawning as you approach. Regardless, the are a couple of standard ways to deal with the worst pop-ups. Assuming you are using h/h:
  • Flag your team well back as you approach the trigger point. Send just one hero in to see if they can force the pops (usually not, but worth trying).
  • Flag your team well back and have your toon trigger.
  • Flag your team near (but not too close) to the trigger point, spread out in any tactical formation you see fit (e.g. Warrior front, healers back), then trigger.
Regardless of which method you use (and regardless of whether your triggering toon dies), once they are popped you can use standard pulling techniques to separate them into more manageable chunks. Another choice is to change 1-2 skills on each of your heroes (and your own character) that are specifically designed to counter the spikes (e.g. Wards, Pain Inverter/Spoil Victor, monk protection skills, ritualist Union or Shelter).
Finally, it is possible to pull Kam and Li Yun away from their trigger points, kill them, and get credit for the VQ before their allies spawn. Good luck.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:57, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Did it in the end.. Had to abuse the pulling to stop them from spawning. I still think this group size must surely be impossible to kill in HM. I imagine everyone who vanquished this area successfully did it without fighting that group. Thanks for the help anyway--Kryzz 07:47, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Gz! They aren't impossible to kill in HM, just more challenging. Next time you VQ the area again, you'll probably wonder why you thought it was ridiculous.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 09:50, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
It's a matter of perspective. You get an idea of how tough things could be, try vanquishing Minister Cho's estate when the Winds of Change (WoC) quests are active :D --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bhagwad (talk • contribs) at 07:18, 20 November 2011 (UTC).
Cho's WoC vanquish is a pushover compared to the Kam supergroup I encountered without knowing about the pops. Still trying at 20 wipes to them... 2 rits, 3 normal eles, 3 monks, 3 necromancers... --86.156.223.145 15:38, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

vanqing[edit]

234 foes, 1hr 8min, vanq/maping. Cannot stress the need for interupting RoJ enough. Fortunetly my mes merc is setup as a dedicated interupter and I had cry of pain aswell as technobabble, not a single roj fell ;-) . Interupts and a mass condition removal skill will make this map less annoying. Interupts for RoJ, ritualists, am fah monks and casters in general make a dedicated interupter / caster hate the most valuable member of a team here. A mass condition removal will get you through all those damned annoying am fah traps. Some thing as simple as a low rank (like r3?) Pure was li Ming would work wonders ( i didnt have it and yes its annoying even after a fight to be crippled team wide). Each mob typically (didnt see any that didnt follow this pattern) has one healer wether it be afflicted rit, afflicted monk or am fah healer. Target them first and if you do it when they ball up (they do this alot) you can nuke them and the caster backline super easy. Justice 20:36, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

240-245 foes ~ 45m. I took Panic over ES. There are several mob groups which intersect with patrols and pop up Amfah mobs. I ate a few RoJ's but they weren't too deadly fortunately. Justice has good advice overall. I had to scrape back across bridges for some mobs I missed. One of the assassin bosses seems to teleport around or is some sort of pop up boss. "Although he might seem to appear earlier, you can only kill him in his true spawning location, which can be identified by following the quest starburst or the maps on this page." Missed a few mobs, but overall not a super difficult vanquish. Beware the 3-4 groups that intersect and try to isolate/pull them; other than that not too bad w/ a proper hero setup. --LunarRXA (talk) 17:53, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
