[edit] How many times has it been open?
I was looking for a way to figure out how many times the boardwalk has been open, but I keep getting different answers. Can anybody please tell me how many times it has been open and/or what events cause the boardwalk to open up? 97.86.173.175 21:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's now open 3 times a year, i.e. "Canthan New Year (beginning of February), Dragon Festival (beginning of July), and for the Birthday Celebration (end of April)". -- Alaris 22:48, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

The heart of shadows bug... can it be used elsewhere? In theory, if that works here, it could be used anywhere to explore inaccessible but nearby areas and thus boost the carto titles. --

- I have been trying in several towns. Each time I get to a new outpost on my Beastmaster (whom is going for Cartographer), I give HoS a whirl. In most towns, it amounts to nothing, as you get the "End of the World" zone thing. :) -- Quiesce 00:57, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- You might still uncover some fog, even if it doesn't show. Look for progress on the carto bar rather than on the map itself. -- Alaris 03:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Its not that, its just, the "world" ends and you see the terrain/everything cut off into nothingness, as that's all the more map that is loaded into that explorable area--and in some places, you can't go up and down stairs all the way. So far, the best location (as already discovered) Eredon Terrace's explorable mountain range. Was very exciting to explore that! -- Quiesce 03:32, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

- Its not that, its just, the "world" ends and you see the terrain/everything cut off into nothingness, as that's all the more map that is loaded into that explorable area--and in some places, you can't go up and down stairs all the way. About HoS bug, where is the very best spot on the map to use this trick in Linnok Courtyard ?? --Donahu 02:12, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- The very best method of use for this skill is to very carefully: get as close to the zone's warp point as you can, and then use HoS/Viper's Defense until you "pop" into where ever it is you want to get into. It takes patience and luck. So; in the case of getting into Shing Jea's explorable area, you must get on the edge of the zone where you would normally be taken back into the town, and use the skills until you successfully Shadowstep into the town. :) -- Quiesce 06:01, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Is it worth noting somewhere (not necessarily on this page, but I don't know where else) that miniatures get stuck on the gate when you go into the Boardwalk area via the Monastery Keeper? 67.240.83.137 20:25, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Just noticed the same thing myself. A few were stuck there when I went through the gate including mine. I just put it away once on the boardwalk side and then took it out again. I just thought of that scene from Terminator 2 when the T-1000 is chasing Sarah through the mental institution and he passes through the one gate but the gun in his hand gets stuck behind the gate. ;) Sardaukar 12:15, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
