Should we split this into the form and the NPC? -- Gordon Ecker 00:15, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Definitely. --Xeeron 12:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
If we're doing this, shouldn't the current Junundu article be renamed to Junundu (Form) as well? Because there are no Junundu foes (except for the queen). Or it could be split into an article about Junundu as a race (with the current introduction) and an article about the form? Cynaes 15:29, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
The Junundu thing isn't a form, it's a "disguise", and it isn't called "Junundu", it's called "Desert Wurm", so we don't have to worry about that. --Santax (talk · contribs) 15:32, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
I wholeheartedly agree Forms should be kept separate from NPC stats, both for Desert Wurm/Junundu and Siege Devourers. There are a few different types of Siege Devourers anyways (Charr-controlled, the one that just follows you or "parks" in siege mode), so a page to cover this aspect separate from the vehicle mechanics is a good idea. Ghannodahn 02:43, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
The Junundu is a disguise called 'Desert Wurm (disguise)'. Fell free to create the article if I dind't made so yet. This article should be split into Siege Devourer and Siege Devourer (creature). Why? Get into a Siege Devourer. Hit F10. Click Siege devourer in "Recently Encountered Skills". It's like Lightbringer and Lightbringer rank. The help menu takes priority, since we must put what players will be expecting when hitting the links. MithranArkanere 13:58, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Probably I'll have to do the same for Desert Wurm and Deser Wurm (disguise) and rename them so they show up correctly when using F10 links, with 'disambiguation' templates on top of the Deser Wurm (creature). MithranArkanere 18:00, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Skill bleed through?[edit]

While rideing one I used the seige attack. When I did I saw 2 shots; but multiple impacts; the targets were Tumbled Elementals. After the dust settled, I found the attack one shot killed the group. I do have Barrage in the same place as the siege attack. Is this a graphics display issuse with seeing the multiple impact or has Barrage bleed through? User Nerdian 3:53 PM 18 June 2008

Its just that devourer siege hits multiple targets ;) Super Range Ranger Cow 14:39, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

gate[edit]

I just walked through a gate while mounted and it stayed with me 71.239.116.218 20:24, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

see notes:
  • This Form will be kept when zoning between the three Charr Homelands explorable areas. This does not happen if you go into a dungeon or town/outpost.
  • There are two spawn points where Siege Devourers can be found. One can be found in the Dalada Uplands, the other in Grothmar Wardowns. They will reset if you zone, so a party can mount 8 siege devourers this way.

Environment effect skill?[edit]

I don't think this is considered to be an Environment effect skill. What do the rest of you think?--§ Eloc § 01:03, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

uh, who put this in environment effects? o.O it's more like a disguise, or a form as the skill says. environment effects are those that you get by walking at certain locations. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 12:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Ya, like Muddy Terrain or the one with the ice.--§ Eloc § 17:09, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Except Muddy Terrain is a Spirit, so it is not an environmental effect. I have a question, both Junnundu and Siege Devourers deal a set amount of damage in melee. What happens if, after you're in the Devourer/Wurm, you get enchanted with "Strength of Honor", would you deal additional damage? --ChristopherRodrigues 21:50, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, didn't mean Muddy Terrain. I meant Tar. — Eloc 00:13, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
and me, in my greatness, have noticed that right away. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 13:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

More Emotes?[edit]

Not sure what to think of it, but if you enter /sit and /stand it seems to do a small jump, or thump. Only in this combination, though. /stand alone doesn't do anything.

/sit itself doesn't seem to make any difference, but I've noticed it'll stop the dance, wheras /stand won't.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:80.121.67.166 (talk).

using /dance makes it do hop thing then jump. king 19:53, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
No its not dance its just makes a quick fall and rises back up.But it only works if u type /sit then /stand Super Range Ranger Cow 17:41, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

skills[edit]

I don't know if this is a bug or its made to be like this, but any skills you learn while in the Siege Devourer disguise are added the same way if your skill bar is full (can chose to get rid of skills). When you dismount the SD, the skill stays in the same skill slot on your normal bar and if you remount you get the proper skills -Yaknar 04:21, 12 January 2007 (GMT) FWIW: confirmed, running around with a Devourer with Sniper support right now. Mirar 10:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Vampiric weapons[edit]

Apparantly vampiric weapons continue to work, only when not using skills, I think.--Cp 08:30, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

The same is true for Junundu. If you attack normaly while the weapon you are actually wielding is Vampiric or Zealous, you are affected by the health/energy degen and the Lifesteal/Energy gain effects still go off. --Srakin 07:16, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

HYAHHHHH!

Consumables problem[edit]

on entering a devourer i lost my consumables this should be noted

I hope you mean only the *effects* of the consumables File:User Horsedrowner avatar.jpg horsedrowner 15:11, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Armour[edit]

Just curious, does the siege devourer overide your armour value with its own or do you just recieve your base armour. Mortsu 11:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Inherited exhaustion?[edit]

I have noticed that if Devourer dies when it's exhausted, a character appears with full health, but exhausted too, contrary to notes in article. I can't decide whether this is a normal behaviour, bug or simply undiscovered anomaly in logics. Has anybody seen the same? --Slavic 13:19, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Form over Function ;-p[edit]

I stumbled over this page, looking for the *creature* Siege Devourer. This is a bit misleading, shouldn't a creature take precedence over a form or skill, i.E. shouldn't "Siege Devourer" lead to the creature and "Siege Devourer (form)" to this page?--85.181.190.186 17:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

See discussion above, but the short version is that this is how the in-game help system directs you. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 17:49, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Darn it...well, thanks for clarification..--85.181.190.186 18:07, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]

It has happened after the death. When ive ressurected on the shrine i saw this: http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/9438/88297915.jpg --Browcio 16:36, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Article Error[edit]

"Spear: Ranged, 55 damage. Same range as spear. " Same range as spear, yet describing spear. Change to?

Skills[edit]

When you accept a skill quest you can put it in the siege devourers bar and even use it. I don't know this is important enough to write on the wiki, so someone else can do it if he/she wants. 62.163.242.38 11:04, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Concept Art[edit]

Found this in the Utopia concept art: File:GWXPostUno001.jpg -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 02:54, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Look at the gears. It's twin-tailed and walks with insectoid legs, and even has a similar 'cockpit', but it's more like a some kind of gigantic mechanic siege weapon. It reminds me more of the huge 'walking ships' Luxon have. Siege devourers may have been based on this as an early concept, but it's not similar enough to be added to the page.
