As this skill can be used by any profession with secondary as Necro, would it be worth adding to the notes it's usefulness with skills such as Mark_of_Rodgort for energy management in a Searing_Flames build as an example?--Evil Geek 08:45, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Personally I'ld use this skill in a PvE Feast of Corruption build since you're going to be using AoE curses to begin with (Suffering , Ulcerous Lungs , Shadow of Fear etc) giving a otherwise energy intensive build some much needed energy management Hopeless Situations 23:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I added disease, with the caveat that for most builds it should be cast on the enemy backline. This will quickly spread and not threaten your meleers until they reach the backline. For anyone soloing as an mm or any other energy intensive necro primary or secondary using heroes they can equip extinguish on a hero monk and thereby eliminate the main drawback of Rotting flesh. I also added that many casters or backline support characters will have limited range with this skill. Please feel free to revert if it is felt irrelevant etc, I just saw no harm in adding it.:) Coruskane 02:29, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Skill Synergy[edit]

I've found this skill to be fairly useful in conjunction with Spiteful Spirit (while also in conjunction with Reckless Haste), Feast of Corruption (given its AoE nature and use alongside skills such as Suffering), and (to a lesser extent) Tainted Flesh. -- Kheraz Zarahi 11:08, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

This has no synergy what-so-ever with just SS...it only does so by use of Reckless.--66.192.104.13 22:34, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

However, this is quite good for energy management on healer's bars if used with teams that have high conditions/hexes. recharges faster than Glyph of Lesser, and has no initial energy cost. however, it does rely on the number of enemies present. however, with lower enemies, energy management shouldn't be a problem in the first place.--66.192.104.13 22:37, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

How about this on the player when using discordway heroes? Paddymew 10:08, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Skill progression[edit]

The description states 12...18...20 max Energy. The skill progress table starts at 13. Is this correct? I noticed the skill infobox template used here has at0 set to 12. Should this perhaps be set to something smaller, say 11? Oh, ye template Gods, I beckon thee. (Ralmon the Gen 04:36, 18 March 2009 (UTC))

Probably had something to do with the fact that you can't get this skill unless you are at least rank 1, and can never use it at rank 0. Pony User talk:Pony Slaystation X 00:52, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

What if...[edit]

"Signet. You create a patch of corrupted ground at target foe or ally's location. The next spell you cast that would exploit a corpse instead consumes the corrupted ground and will take effect at that location without requiring or exploiting a corpse." Necromas 07:08, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Necros don't need more energy-management, especially one that isn't very good unless you hit a huge ball of hexed foes. We could however use a way to make wells more useful and build minions outside of combat. And of course it's already a PvE only skill so it won't influence PvP balance.Necromas 07:08, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Keystone synergy[edit]

If you use this after using keystone signet, would it trigger keystone signet on all foes hit for huge AOE damage? --77.160.189.74 12:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

80 is hardly huge, but yes. Sonic Sunday User Da Sonic Sig2.png 12:54, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
No, it only damages targets around the foe you targetted. May have done something wrong though, so I'm going back to test it. If every foe did get damaged for X for every other nearby foe though, 80 is huge for X. 90.198.74.1 17:35, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Add to notes[edit]

Works well with Searing Flames--24.89.131.186 18:56, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
