WTF? a signet that costs energy?! ~ KurdKurdsig.png08:54, 1 March 2007 (EST)

Nah, it's just the wobbly formatting of skill-box ^^ - sorted. -- Snograt whisper 08:56, 1 March 2007 (EST)

Best skill ever during the beta weekends.--ZenRgy 08:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, and good on Bloodsong even now. Dark Morphon 09:35, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Does this work on Asura Summons? Nicky Silverstar 13:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

renewal before expiration?[edit]

if this is renewed on a summoned creature before it expires, does it delay the creatures forced death? i would assume so but either way it should go in the notes section82.17.88.27 15:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

not sure about this signet, but i know the one that gives them regen for 30s kills then even if u re-apply it. --76.31.177.104 04:16, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Tested it; They still die when the first signet expires. 72.81.247.139 14:13, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Ladder Reset Bug[edit]

Ok, so I might be years too late on this comment, but who in their right mind would use this on their own Guild Lord? Last I checked, your opponent's GL is not an ally, so this could only have worked on your own GL. I'm just curious, why would people purposely use this on their own Guild Lord, epicly screw themselves over, and then get treated with a complimentary ladder reset for their idiocy? Unless I'm missing something here? Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 15:54, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

"allowed it to work on any target" --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ talk 15:55, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Sorry about that, my lurn2read skills have failed me once again >.< Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 15:59, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
So did it also work on enemies in PvE? Like killing Shiro in 10 seconds? Pity I missed that... --Arduinna talk 11:53, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Update[edit]

Does the new version still work on all summoned creatures, or just spirits now? User Dre Sig.pngDre 09:49, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Elite Signet. For 5...17...20 seconds, all spirits you control within earshot attack 33% faster and deal 5...9...10 additional damage.

Does it answer to your question?78.114.49.105 20:17, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Descriptions don't always match (intended) function, but this isn't one of those exceptions. Tested with 1 damage Bone Minions on PvE Isle. No change in attack speed or damage dealt. MA Anathe 20:36, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Should we add a note to mention the old use of this skill, because right now the note about it used to be bugged and kill guild lords seems quite random.Crimmastermind 00:37, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Not really a bug[edit]

Spirit of Vampirism and Bloodsong don't deal damage they steal life and won't get the bonus of increased damage. Linsey has confirmed this not be a bug but just the way the game works. I am going to change the notes to reflect that. -- BroodlingUser Broodling67 sig.PNG 18:48, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

I have changed it, but don't sure about start of the syntax.--Itay Alon 19:21, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Technically, I believe they deal 0 damage + life stealing, so it should actually raise the damage on the 0 part of it...
Before the second update on the 12. of December, the spirit of bloodsong did base lifesteal damage + 10 for the skill(the spirit hit the target twice), but they changed it so that the spirit only hits once instead of twice - but they either forgot or didn't implement increased lifesteal at all. --SkyHiRider 12:13, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

thats the shortest concise description ive ever seen212.187.73.45 19:37, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, at least it doesn't give false information xP - (Rezu Blackheart 19:41, 26 December 2008 (UTC))

Skill Evaluation[edit]

This is a pretty nice skill imo...a spirit spammer + the shadow stepping spirit skill thing (kurzick or luxon one, forgot name) and this = alot of damage...now i wanna go work on my rit >.> Sentry007 User Sentry007 sig.png 15:39, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Agreed, it looks like a nice skill. --Burning Freebies 15:43, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
My favourite Rit skill, I think like it more than Spirit's Strength :D --smøni 17:46, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Not a match for Signet of Spirits in PvE imho. Cant say for PvP.
Run both in PvE, if there's room in the party. A SoS channeling bar is best on a rit, while a SoGM communing bar is best on a ranger with 16 expertise. For example, a hero such as Margrid can run a bar like this with ease:
Shadowsong.jpg
Disenchantment.jpg
Anguish.jpg
Dissonance.jpg
Shelter.jpg
Union.jpg
Signet of Ghostly Might.jpg
Armor of Unfeeling.jpg

Those 6 spirits will cost 38 energy instead of 110, impossible to reasonably afford on a ritualist, and the last 2 skills are hardly different at 12 than they are at 16. Plus the caster is in ranger armour, which is also a good deal. This sort of character is an excellent compliment to a SoS channeler who will be expected to bring Painful Bond. Trivia on this page[edit]

It's on the PvP version and it makes more sense there as the functionality is the same (but unbugged) and the bug really affected PvP a lot more (ladder resets etc), so do we need to keep the trivia here, or just leave it on the pvp version? Misery 16:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Damage reduction of own spirits...?[edit]

"All spirits you control within earshot attack 33% faster and deal 5...9...10 damage."... Paddymew 15:04, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Read the normal description. Concise sucks. -- Halogod35 User Halogod35 Sig.jpg 15:09, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Anyone still using it[edit]

I know that if I have to choose between this and SoS, then it's gonna be SoS.

Then I'm going to make the assumption you don't bother to watch your spirits, because the Signet of Spirits spirits don't actually do anything most of the time. It depends on how many spirits you have to begin with, your attribute spread, and other things, but for a pure spirit spammer build this is probably better. Either way, though, SoS is bugged: the spirits behave erratically (when they behave at all), so this is better until it's fixed. --Jette User Jette awesome.png 00:08, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
If you have Explosive Growth and its friends, SoS is better. But then again, so is Animate Bone Minions. Paddymew 09:37, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm still using it, as much as I use SoS and the bomber build with minions. SoS is funny to use, although this stupid bug makes it underpowered in comparison with this one. So yeah, I really don't think that it's dead. --Frozen 00:55, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
I realize these comments are old, but now since the SoS inactive spirits bug is fixed, SoS now looks like a better option even without Explosive growth. That is, unless you have 4+ damage dealing spirits, not life stealing. Justing6 User Justing6 Justing6 siggypic.png 13:30, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

SoGM does seem to be slightly better for a pure spammer. People underestimate the compounding benefits of +attack rate and +damage. Necromas 00:15, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Spirits you summoned or allied spirits?[edit]

The title says it, Does this affect all spirits that are allied to you or only ones that you summoned? Gonna post the same question on Spirit leech.

"Spirits you control" means ones that you have personally summoned. –Jette 04:31, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
