Didn't this skill used to have 20 second cooldown? -Kurzick Mushroom

hey kurzick mushroom ive seen you in kurzick FA and you were using "Incoming!" lol -.-

shh! No one must know! -The Shroom

After the most recent update on March 6, I have to wonder how this skill is any better than Ballad of Restoration. This skill was fine just the way it was; offering some advantage over Ballad in smaller energy cost and 5 second shorter cool down. This elite..let me reiterate that,*Elite Chant* was acceptable the way it was. King steve 00:50, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Agreed, mostly. Needs a bigger buff to the healing if the cost and recharge are going to be pushed up like that.--Srakin 03:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
They call this balancing...what a joke.--89.142.68.225 14:58, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
It is balanced. This skill activates on a skill, not a spell, and therefore affects all party members. FleshAndFaith 04:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

lolol[edit]

110 hp every 30 seconds? lmfao. gg anet. fucking idiots.

Yeah, this is just insulting at this point.

-______________- Paragons need buffing not nerfing. Halogod35 01:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Have you ever seen something called an Imbagon? Maintaining "Save Yourselves!" and having "There's Nothing to Fear!" up most of the time makes Paragons break PvE, because save yourselves essentially means everyone takes, oh, less than a quarter of the normal damage, and then that's reduced further by TNtF. Regardless, it's only temporary. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 02:05, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh please, like PVE is something they care about. This was done for the PVP side of things. If Anet were so concerned about PVE and TNtF/SY and the use of SoR with it, then they would have erased other PVE stupidly overpowered skills, like Ursan. Paragons can't break PVE anymore, there are too few of them now anyway ;p And I know, I play a PVE paragon - having to farm stupid norn title for 20th maxed title is a pain and so boring! The real trouble is, this rebalance to SoR really will cause a lot of laughter when one sees that it is still considered an 'Elite' skill. --Shaia 07:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, I was refering to Pvp, not pve. Nothing really matters if its unbalanced in PvE, that's what makes it fun, plus it's not like the npc can complain, anyways. Halogod35 13:26, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
ANet simply cannot buff them in PVP. A single buff on one skill results in geometric buff results when more than one paragon is in a team. That's why the paragon is ANet's headache class. The only real thing ANet can do is give the paragon better spear attacks or a greater choice anyway. But this will always bring up the argument about P vs W vs R and no-one will bother with the paragon again. --Shaia 08:21, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
If song of restoration got a buff, i might be tempted to play something OTHER than SY/TFtF imbagon, right now there's only 1 decisvely good build concept for paragons, so no big suprise that these kind of nerfs only make paragon play even less varied and imbalanced. --RyuujinZERO 16:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Cost:10, Cast Time: 1, Recharge: 20, The next time each ally within earshot attacks or uses a skill, that ally gains 45...97...110 Health. 90.206.126.31 15:00, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

vs. Ballad of Restoration[edit]

I was capping this from Toshau Sharpspear. I found myself dearly wishing I was out there in order to cap Ballad of Restoration instead... because it's exactly the same, but it activates in a more convenient manner than the elite. (It's a group prot you can keep up half the time, instead of an inconsistent party heal). Am I missing something here? Is there a super-secret functionality to Song of Restoration that makes it not either 1) worse than or 2) exactly as useful as a non-elite from the same ruddy attribute with the same cost, cast, and recharge? It heals for a bit (~30 HP) more. But the functionality is just worse enough for me to prefer Ballad over it despite that, I think. Either way, at the very least, they're of equal usefulness. So Ballad is now an uber secret elite skill? Why, Anet? --76.166.187.131 01:54, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

Heals Spirits?[edit]

Anthem of Envy effects spirits, does this as well? 104.0.42.202 15:39, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

AoE affects allies, SoR only Party Members. So obviously no. Steve1 (talk) 16:01, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
