The Jade's inflict SA with every normal attack. 222.153.236.183 22:32, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

No, they do not. Counciler 00:35, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Actually they do. See Guildwiki for evidence or let a Jade beat you up. 222.153.224.205 12:38, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Green Numbers[edit]

Thats weird...why do these Numbers don't show the 30 degen and 100 health if no infused armor peace is worn? (as it is, in most cases, either none or all peaces infused). —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:17, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

cause maybe u buy elite armor and dont have enough for the rest so ur remaining old armor is infused but the new elite pieces aint Hubbard User Hubbard sig icon.png The Dervish 08:07, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Skill Icon[edit]

Hmmm...can anybody explain me why Spectral Agony, a skill due to this Armor peaces can get a special change of becoming infused, has the regular Monster Skill Icon, yet the Skill Stormcaller has one? (This Skill Article doesn't exist in the official Wiki, to see it, [look here])ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:52, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Because Stormcaller doesn't technically have one either. The talk page states that it has the beta-age placeholder icon. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 20:50, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Doh, that might have been a bad example, the grammar was rather crappy (and this reply is uber late), but i guess you got my point nonetheless:
Spectral Agony: Super special awesome skill. Common monster skill icon.
Quite a bunch of other skills: (Almost) never encountered or even noticed by players. Unique skill icon.

Spoiler[edit]

Spoiler alert: The following text contains spoilers relating to the story of Guild Wars.

You get this as Saul in the BMP. Anon

It's true, but not exactly the same skill : the one you get does slightly less damage but recharges in 8. Sekoria 20:37, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure this is a spoiler, but you get Spectral Agony (hex). - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 20:47, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Do we even need this entry at trivia? I mean, there's a disambig tag basicly saying the same at the top of this page, and that doesn't have a spoiler warning. Looks rather pointless. WhyUser talk:Why Are We Fighting 19:00, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Spirit Bond[edit]

Spirit Bond triggers on the direct damage. This way it is possible to stay alive even without being infused by having more then 15 specced into protection prayers or combining the skill with Protective Spirit. I have done this at least once before but it is not an advisable method since it is very energy intense. However claiming that infusion is the only counter is simply not true. - Damadmoo 14:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

I just use simply standard ptrotection prayers and it usually works fine, with 1 monk healing with somethign like WoH once. It's not really that hard to counter tbh, and i didnt even use PS or SB

Mabye it should be added...[edit]

Shouldnt it be mentioned that you only need 1 essence to infuse ALL your armor?---Anomyous

It's been that way for a few years now. Vili User talk:Vili 21:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Infusion[edit]

I suggest most information be moved to the Infusion article. --WhyUser talk:Why Are We Fighting 16:51, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

I agree, it took me a while to find out where the chart was for infusion. ---- Kallusive

Spectral Agony and Spirits[edit]

Do Ranger and Ritualist spirits take full damage from this ability, or does it depend on whether or not their creator is infused?--85.182.15.86 13:25, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

They take full damage. If one gets targeted with it, it basically dies. —Jette User Jette sophisticated.png 15:16, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for clarification.--85.182.15.86 16:03, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
That's probably not a bad thing. Spirits/minions getting the brunt of the damage is good. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 16:35, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Considering how spirit spam is popular nowadays I think it would be a useful information to provide on the main page. Deratrius

Total[edit]

This makes a total of around 1005 damage (if not infusioned), (24 x 5)+ (81 x 5).- Haunted Shadow

Actually, 100*5 = 500, and 20*5=100, so it only does 600. –Jette User Jette awesome.png 00:17, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah... I knew there was something wrong with that number. It looks like he did 24 degen, not 10. --Aldarik 00:19, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Both wrong, it deals 455 damage unless I'm doing it Wrong. |Killer demonUser Killer demon User-Killer demon.jpg 11:15, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Degeneration = -10, so 20 health loss from degen every second. 5x20 = 100
Direct health loss = -81 per second, so -81*5=405
Total loss = 405+100 = 505.
Unless I'm missing something it should be 505?--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 11:40, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Kind of Damage[edit]

Hey, on the page, it doesn't specify what type of damage the skill does. Does it have a specific type, such as lightning or fire damage? I'd assume it's some kind of elemental... Someone please clarify...208.92.184.201 01:55, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Zeke64

" For 5 seconds, target foe moves, attacks, and uses skills up to 80% slower; suffers -1...24 Health degeneration; and loses 3...81 Health each second" . you don't take damage, you loss health, pain and simple. --BobbyT 02:01, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Illusion of pain[edit]

isnt this skill related to illusion of pain because it causes XX degen and XX damage per sec like Spectral Agony?--Ultima Flames User Ultima Flames Signature.jpg 14:59, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Lol IoP is a weak Spectral Agony. I'd say yes, it does everything except the slower skill speed 76.219.110.140 22:15, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Note about Spellbreaker/Obsidian Flesh[edit]

"Although the skill description calls it targeted, skills like Spellbreaker and Obsidian Flesh do not prevent its effects."
Those apply to spells, while this is clearly a skill. —Wai Fung 18:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

It also punches right through Shadow Form. Ouch. --User mrsmiles tinysmile.png MrSmiles 03:57, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Jade Armors in Kryta[edit]

Real pain in the butt with noninfused henchmen now. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.151.189.24 (talk).

I'm guessing that'll be the plan all along, to fit in with certain things that are happening with the WiK storyline (the whole seer thing) Intentionally making it overly difficult, to make more sense of the "new weapon" later on. Though in the meantime, everyone jump on this like a fat kid on a bar of chocolate ,and demand parties of seven heroes! ;) Tylenol Jones 10:50, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Fat kids about to get their wishes real soon... 60.234.212.190 09:08, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Damage Calculation Wrong?[edit]

Never mind; Forgot health degen caps out at 10. My bad.

War in Kryta[edit]

Trivia or note that the henchmen in the future instances during the War in Kryta are not infused. Possibly below the spoiler section... 192.203.160.241 20:53, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

They are infused. Spotina Talk 13:21, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

add the actual comparable HP degen too?[edit]

see the header Deadfalk 06:40, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Does the new trivia belong on this wiki?[edit]

How does it affect gw1? We as players of gw never use the skill so who cares? I can't copy it with mesmer skills. Also it is counter magic transferring the effects NOT transferring the actual skill.71.169.162.235 20:26, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
