[edit] Incomplete Tasca's Demise information
I vanquished at 101 foes(no quests). 505 exp and 303 gold.
- no bosses.
- monsters
an important note to finish vanquisher at this place is that someone will have to stand right outside of the mineral spring portal to aggro the avicara from the other side. I believe there are about 3-4 groups to take on.--Zemmy 13:25, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
I vanquished 83 foes (no quests). 415 xp and 415 gold. Ka Huna Kawaii 84.56.113.221
Same as Ka Huna... 83 (no quests). 415/415. No avicara present. Pucktrapper 22:06, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm, I just vanquished Tasca without killing ANY avicara - there simply were none of them. 80 foes, 400xp + 400gold. Jarkus4 12:00, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- When you walk out of Citadel, you can see the Stone Summit Dwarves for just a moment both on your minimap and physically. Just thought I'd make a note of that. --

Vanquished 77 (no quests). No Avicara.
Does anyone know the reason why the Avicara at portal to Mineral Springs sometimes spawn but sometimes don't spawn at all how long you wait? This is coming from Mineral Springs, `
- Just vanquished at 102.--Tyri Sunbeam 20:52, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
I vanquished it but there where also Avicara Ardent. Is it a bug or should they be added on the page? Force
[edit] Vanquishing Tips?
Anyone have any tips for vanquishing this area? I've never been able to do it either with human players or H/H. That massive group in the middle containing 3 Dolyak Masters just prevents me from causing even a single casualty before we get wiped. Astralphoenix777 17:19, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Try pulling them out of their fort. If you string them out, you should be able to kill a few dwarves before the dolyaks get there. Repeat after wipe, and use a powerstone if necessary.
- If you notice your target's health zooming up rapidly, that means it's had Mark of Protection cast on it. Either strip it off, or ignore that guy and go after a dolyak; MoP disables all the caster's prots for 45 secs leaving it wide open.
- Having a MM really helps too; the minions spread the damage around thus distracting the healers. -- Hong 17:29, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
I think its more like 5 seconds for the prot disable for MoP, 45 is the recharge. Waverien Tidas 17:32, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ideas everyone. However, it's more the spamming of Orison of Healing and Heal Other with very short cast times that's the problem, rather than Mark of Protection. It even manages to outheal Discordway (which comes with Minions, incidentally) and other high-damage PvE party builds. I'm considering an Energy-denial build with a friend and 6 heroes using a bunch of Mesmers (since Dolyak Masters can't be shut down with knockdowns or realistically interrupted), but it remains to be seen whether it'll work or not. I'll take enchantment stripping into the equation as well, naturally. Astralphoenix777 17:38, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- As I recall, I did it with a SS necro, Jagged Bones bomber, VoR + Empathy mes, Mhenlo, Lina, Cynn and Devona (see my page for builds). I wiped once, but knocked out half the group in the process; finishing them off after that was straightforward. I might have had it easier though, since I play a war so I can tank for the casters. -- Hong 17:53, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

For me, my setup was standard Sabway build (oh noez a gimik bild!!1), plus Mhenlo, Lina, Durhman and Orion. I had about 9 or 10 minions, and I flagged them behind one of the walls on the outside of the entrances, so that the ranged couldn't pick them off. I used a lot of AoE attacks (Death Nova, Whirlwind, Rain of Fire, Splinter Weapon, Putrid Bile, etc.) to confuse the healers. The mobs that were blocked by the exploding minions seemed to die off faster than the healers could save them. tl;dr, body block, flag behind a wall, AoE. Hope this helps. (Btw, my build was a simple dragonslash build with Whirlwind, Pain Inverter and Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support, but the bonus from EVSS didn't trigger during the fight.) - I used 3 Discord Necros, but not with the PvX Discordway. Took Lina, Mhenlo, Little Thom, and Orion. I used my warrior. The first try to kill the huge group, we managed to kill all 4 Dolyak Masters and a Ranger. Second try, killed everything else, except 2 Rangers and a Gnasher. Third try was the charm. No consumeables. Yes, we had accrued some DP by that point. My build used Defy Pain, Body Blow, Executioner's Strike, etc. Rain and Dark 14:10, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
I took Sabway necros and I (E/any) used Glyph of Renewal w/ Assassin Support and Technobabble to snipe the Dolyak Masters. I was able to pull a small group (3 or 4) before I took on the mob. This area didnt really give me trouble, but I may have just got a lucky spawn.173.60.153.13 01:01, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
