Hmmmm Gaze of Contempt anyone? Raptaz 14:17, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- you mean as a related skill? 19:14, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think what he meant was, Gaze of Contempt first and when the target is dying do Test of Faith.Still, who uses this and how?--Wealedout 19:47, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I use it at the end of a close-ranged spike, primarily with Grasping Was Kuurong. By hitting multiple foes with KD's to keep them in place, armor ignoring damage, and AoE that doesn't target anyone, Kuurong can be used to damage Obsidian Flesh users and Shadow Form Assassins, so by using this skill on a foe close to that enemy, I can effectively disenchant and damage units without ever targeting them. Another, far easier use, is to damage spike a Critical Defenses Assassin or Protection Monk with enough damage to drop them under 50% health and use this, but it can be difficult to pull off. It has more lethality then Gaze of Contempt as it leaves the target both under half-health and without enchantments, but it's far more unwieldy. It also practically spike-heals dervishes by forcing all their enchantments to end and in that regard Gaze of Contempt is better for that use. PowerGamer 08:20, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- "Touch Spell. If target foe is dying, they also lose all of their prots and utility enchantments, too. Otherwise, you waste 10 energy."
- As a Dervish, it only takes two hits to put something below 50% health; this skill is the nail in the coffin. Guardian? No. Spirit Bond? No. Prot spirit? No. You lose your Attunement. You lose your Mending. You lose your Aura of the Lich, Dark Bond, and Infuse Condition. You lose Healer's Boon. You lose RoF. You lose Mending. This skill is Gaze of Contempt for when you really need Gaze of Contempt.

- I could argue that half of those would've been triggered by the damage of the touch spell (RoF and the like), and things like Aura of the Lich would trigger their effects and heal, but I still agree with your point. On a dervish vs. a Critical Defenses sin, this move would be the tide turner if you dropped him under 50% through the blocks. The only major change I'd like to see is this becoming a touch skill instead of a spell (or make certain other touch skills become touch spells.) PowerGamer 20:18, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
