Year?[edit]

I'm guessing 2008, but perhaps this should be mentioned somewhere? (I didn't read the entire article, just skimmed over it.)--User Cyberman Mastermind Sig.gif Cyberman 12:14, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Jumping the gun?[edit]

Well, everything on this page (except for the third year miniatures) is pure speculation, not to mention copied from the Second Birthday Celebration. The information will likely be released tomorrow or Wednesday, so should we keep this? Kokuou 06:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, as if you tag it, it will most likely just sit there. Plus pure speculation seems to be to common of a term here. Guys relax, who cares if its not confirmed. (whole reason for disputed tag). When it is change it then, not just edit it and make wars out of it. Dominator Matrix 06:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Actually, for this kind of thing we care about pure speculation, since there could pretty much be nothing after all. A speedy tag would be ideal, but i will go for normal del instead for now.--Fighterdoken 06:43, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Ill try to say this in the most calmest and non-NPA way. Why don't you guys use an unoffical or disputed tag? seriously?!. Its not hard. Plus it would save unneeded tagging...deletion etc. Dominator Matrix 06:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Ty fall. Almost exploded there...Dominator Matrix 06:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Changed to disputed as this page will most likely just be recreated several times before the event just like all past event pages. Fall 06:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
exactly what im trying to say Dominator Matrix 06:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry, you can break NPA with me (i follow the "IICHAN:Not caring since whenever we started" policy) :). To answer your question, GWW:CONTENT is pretty explicit about the wiki not storing content based on rumors or "user's speculation", so i would ask you to put the deletion tag back under those grounds. I mean, we don't even know the official name of the event yet.--Fighterdoken 06:57, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Well from the info we now its that. As it was the same from other years. If not it can be moved Dominator Matrix 06:59, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Same as with anon... may i request an official source for the info?--Fighterdoken 07:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
WTB unoffical but coming soon tag. Gaile? Dominator Matrix 07:04, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
There is not such thing as "unofficial but coming soon", since stuff happends in the middle that could stop all the "coming soon'ing". But now that i think, i should have just A2'ed this with GWW:CONTENT as justification to avoid the removal of the tag... too late to realize it.--Fighterdoken 07:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I give up my dispute, but still in this case thats not (really) needed. IMO Dominator Matrix 07:43, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

sorry i was just starting to put it together, was in middle of run was goign to make note, that some or most might be change just wanted to get started early on it, if you like to del it then do so, sorry for that, the news will coe tomarrow anyways about this event, --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:76.249.182.169 (talk).

Here's what has been officially announced thus far: [1] --Thervold 18:09, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

move to Third Anniversary Celebration?[edit]

since that's the name that guildwars.com actually calls this event. --VVong|BA 18:56, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Agree, since it appears to not be a special naming trend for these events, it makes sense to use the official name instead.--Fighterdoken 19:00, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, official names should always be used when available. --Kakarot Talk 19:08, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Time zones[edit]

As i have no clue what time zone New zealand is in anyone care to tell me?? please then i can try to work it out :) --Wild 03:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia they're in the UTC+12 time zone. -- Gordon Ecker 04:19, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
TY i can work that out now --Wild 05:23, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

New end Area[edit]

Does this mean there is more exploring to do for the cartography title? Or is this zone underground? Sjel 11:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

More Explore Zone. Treesbyty 14:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Yup more explorable places but i think its the old Droks TA anyway -- Salome User salome sig.png 14:23, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
It uses the old Droknar's Arena outpost. So if you didn't had that one, you can now. You cannot explore the whole arena, only the utpost area, though. It should be around 0.1% of the map. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:53, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Third Year Miniatures[edit]

Possible Miniature Cave Spider?

Just to confirm this, have people started getting these today because there has been an image uploaded apparently showing a Miniature Cave Spider. Based on the article these don't start being received until Monday. --Kakarot Talk 20:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

It is most likely a fake. GW was not public and live yet, so there is no way for a character to have been made three years ago to the day. I am not sure about beta characters though, so I could be wrong. Kairu 20:33, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I will show mine to you ---White wasabi User White wasabi.jpg 20:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
How is your character three days older then the public release? Kairu 20:36, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Standing right next to White in Kamadan and looking at the mini, so it's real. --Valshia 20:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
It's an early gift from Anet for some undisclosed reason. It doesn't mean anyone else is getting theirs before the scheduled release on Monday, April 29th as posted on the website.--Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 21:03, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Rather stupid to give one person a miniature before the actual birthday. I'd like a reason for that. -- Mini Me talk 21:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
White is in ZoS, which is a Dev guild isn't it? He's likely either a dev or done a favour for the devs. Also their is a list of the third year mini's here, extracted from the .dat file. -- Salome User salome sig.png 21:12, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
This is a 3rd year mini someone in ZoS had a bday today :) Fall 21:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Beta character? Yes or no? Were the Beta characters ever deleted? If not, that's where all the new minis are coming from even though it's still a day too early Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 00:27, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
There is a forum thread on Guru, in where andrew patrick appologises to everyone for getting his early and giving it to a friend without realising that his character would be a day older than everone elses, and that GW haddnt taken into account that there was a leap year or something this year so everonye got there presents a day earlia --User Wild rituals signature.pngWild 00:34, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. The game counts day to give the miniature instead of checking the date of creation nad giving the miniature in the same day, so, thanks to this one being a lap year, people got miniatures one day earlier. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 08:13, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
