Talk:Tomb of the Primeval Kings
From Guild Wars Wiki
Is this all GFDL? Most of the current version of the source article appears to be from GFDL contributors (mainly Santax and Ab.er.rant, but I'm too tired to pick through it right now. -- Gordon Ecker 08:18, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
- And the source article was merged, so there's also a second source article. -- Gordon Ecker 01:36, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
- It looks okay. -- Gordon Ecker 01:47, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Nightfallen Tomb
Why is this section wikilinked to an as-yet non-existant page, the contents of which would be the same as what is in this section? I don't know whether to un-link it or create the page and remove this content to that page. My head hurts :( --Snograt

- I've split it off into its own article. Explorable area info shouldn't really be in an outpost article. -- Gordon Ecker 22:59, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
- (Digs up the past) ...then surely the item about The Darknesses has no place here either? --Snograt

- Agreed. The Darknesses should be move to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area) if we are to remain logically consistent within these articles. I only take interest in it, as it changes how we refer to them within the unique green articles. Some quick refs point to The Tomb of the Primeval Kings, others to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area). I've started renaming them to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area) within the articles themselves, but if a user links to there they will not find the drop creature listed.

- Also, one of the exits is listed as The Underworld (Nightfallen Tomb). This is the specific of the four areas explored when doing a full Tombs run. You would have to click the link for Nightfallen Tombs within the body of the article itself in order to get the full description of the explorable tombs. While this is technically correct, from a logical point of view as a user researching this article, it would make more sense to be directed to the Nightfallen Tombs as the other exit from tombs. Since the exit itself is not named within the outpost, there should not be any consistency issues. --

- Oh bugger - I changed them all to point to Tomb of the Primeval Kings, then started a discussion atTalk:Unique_item#Tombs saying how silly it was. Greens are my main interest in this too :D -Snograt

- lol. You overrode my edit, but the quick reference HoH references being reverted about 3 times in the past week. I switched out the Darknesses, everything should make sense now, but we need to revert the quick reference tables to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area). Going to work on my front porch now though, I'll help you dial through the changes later today. --

[edit] What is the reward for completing this?
?--Worldly Tutor 03:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- The last time I did it, the only reward was the loot from The Darknesses. -- Gordon Ecker 04:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Corrupted
Hello, a question about the Tombs: were the also corrupted prior to the release of nightfall? Or did it change with the release? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.206.83.153 (talk).
- They were corrupted during the Factions PvP preview weekend, which introduced the Battle Isles. -- Gordon Ecker 03:06, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wintersday 2007
I'm pretty sure this was decorated last year too. Unfortunately I was on a different comp so don't have screenshots, but I'm fairly certain. Can anyone confirm? Biscuits

- Yeah if I recall it was decorated last year's Wintersday, and it even got rid of the vortex (but I think you could still enter somehow).

[edit] A quick question
Can you still get there? How? Thanks Al Dente 16:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. Walk out of The Dragon's Lair (outpost). Biscuits

- Thanks. I just got a little confused with stuff on the internet, like that they were destroyed. ah well 88.104.27.127 16:56, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hall of Heroes?
Apparently, there are two different Halls of Heroes. There is one at the end of Tombs and one somewhere else in the Battle Isles with different levels and maps. Which one is the "true" Hall of Heroes? --68.207.156.253 04:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC) Raven of Esquire
- One from Battle isles. HA uses to be tombs and then it got moved when factions came out. — Seru

- Yes the one at the end of Tombs is the same zone as the HoH, but it's a PvE dungeon and not the renowned PvP battleground. Biscuits

[edit] The Chronicles of Narnia reference?
In The horse and His boy. It mentions the Tombs of the Ancient Kings. Maybe a reference? 216.45.99.187 01:59, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
