Is this all GFDL? Most of the current version of the source article appears to be from GFDL contributors (mainly Santax and Ab.er.rant, but I'm too tired to pick through it right now. -- Gordon Ecker 08:18, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

And the source article was merged, so there's also a second source article. -- Gordon Ecker 01:36, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
It looks okay. -- Gordon Ecker 01:47, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Nightfallen Tomb[edit]

Why is this section wikilinked to an as-yet non-existant page, the contents of which would be the same as what is in this section? I don't know whether to un-link it or create the page and remove this content to that page. My head hurts :( --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 22:35, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

I've split it off into its own article. Explorable area info shouldn't really be in an outpost article. -- Gordon Ecker 22:59, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
(Digs up the past) ...then surely the item about The Darknesses has no place here either? --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 07:11, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
Agreed. The Darknesses should be move to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area) if we are to remain logically consistent within these articles. I only take interest in it, as it changes how we refer to them within the unique green articles. Some quick refs point to The Tomb of the Primeval Kings, others to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area). I've started renaming them to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area) within the articles themselves, but if a user links to there they will not find the drop creature listed.
Also, one of the exits is listed as The Underworld (Nightfallen Tomb). This is the specific of the four areas explored when doing a full Tombs run. You would have to click the link for Nightfallen Tombs within the body of the article itself in order to get the full description of the explorable tombs. While this is technically correct, from a logical point of view as a user researching this article, it would make more sense to be directed to the Nightfallen Tombs as the other exit from tombs. Since the exit itself is not named within the outpost, there should not be any consistency issues. --User Rohar icon.jpg Rohar (talk|contribs) 08:39, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
Oh bugger - I changed them all to point to Tomb of the Primeval Kings, then started a discussion atTalk:Unique_item#Tombs saying how silly it was. Greens are my main interest in this too :D -SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 08:47, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
lol. You overrode my edit, but the quick reference HoH references being reverted about 3 times in the past week. I switched out the Darknesses, everything should make sense now, but we need to revert the quick reference tables to The Hall of Heroes (explorable area). Going to work on my front porch now though, I'll help you dial through the changes later today. --User Rohar icon.jpg Rohar (talk|contribs) 08:53, 5 May 2007 (EDT)

What is the reward for completing this?[edit]

?--Worldly Tutor 03:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

The last time I did it, the only reward was the loot from The Darknesses. -- Gordon Ecker 04:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Makes me fell that there's no reason to go there. Except for ectos. - J.P.User Jope12 sigicon.pngTalk 14:39, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
It suppose to be random green weapons. That's what I get whenever I do the run.--ShadowFog 00:28, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Might be worth adding something about this to the article. I kept going round in circles reading all the pages about this trying to figure out what the point was, why people even bothered going there and eventually had to ask my guild. 86.183.1.171 10:28, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Seriously? I go through 4 levels of hell and all I got to show for it was a knife with 1-4 damage? Ah well, at least I've finally seen and done the whole thing. -- Ralmon -- 22:39, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Better than me; I got absolutely nothing. =( Andran Steel 01:08, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
The reward is a slight chance of getting one of the Tombs greens. For me, most of the time the reward was watching the LVP (Less Valuable Player, as opposed to MVP, the guy that kept dying and hindering the party) get 3 uniques at the end and 10 rares during the entire set of areas, and the rest nothing but crappy white merchant fodder. It's all about luck, so I don't touch the place anymore. I prefer getting at least one or two sure rewards, instead just one pull of the fortune wheel. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 13:09, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Have to respond, even though we're replying to a question from 2008... The reward is a certainty of getting at least 3 greens - if you do it right. Fight through the whole place with your usual 7 heroes, then flag 'em off-radar whilst you solo the Darknesses. Usually get between 5 to 7 greens. Sure, they're not so good, but it's fun ^_^ --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 12:20, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Corrupted[edit]

Hello, a question about the Tombs: were the also corrupted prior to the release of nightfall? Or did it change with the release? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.206.83.153 (talk).

They were corrupted during the Factions PvP preview weekend, which introduced the Battle Isles. -- Gordon Ecker 03:06, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Wintersday 2007[edit]

I'm pretty sure this was decorated last year too. Unfortunately I was on a different comp so don't have screenshots, but I'm fairly certain. Can anyone confirm? Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 01:36, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah if I recall it was decorated last year's Wintersday, and it even got rid of the vortex (but I think you could still enter somehow). User eldin sig.jpg Eldin
Confirmed. I talked to King Wenslauss on my Warrior…who wasn't made till nearly NF. -shrug- Taka Ragranok 08:43, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

A quick question[edit]

Can you still get there? How? Thanks Al Dente 16:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Walk out of The Dragon's Lair (outpost). Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 18:49, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I just got a little confused with stuff on the internet, like that they were destroyed. ah well 88.104.27.127 16:56, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Hall of Heroes?[edit]

Apparently, there are two different Halls of Heroes. There is one at the end of Tombs and one somewhere else in the Battle Isles with different levels and maps. Which one is the "true" Hall of Heroes? --68.207.156.253 04:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC) Raven of Esquire

One from Battle isles. HA uses to be tombs and then it got moved when factions came out. — Seru User Seru Sig5.png Talk 04:21, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes the one at the end of Tombs is the same zone as the HoH, but it's a PvE dungeon and not the renowned PvP battleground. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 09:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

The Chronicles of Narnia reference?[edit]

In The horse and His boy. It mentions the Tombs of the Ancient Kings. Maybe a reference? 216.45.99.187 01:59, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Farmer's Delight[edit]

This used to be a great place for PvE teams, now is just been fuck by farmers. The place is literally plague by A/E. Why even try out it if with one build it can be done? [They called it Tombs Ecto Farmer]. The bad thing is...I dont have an A! Damn! Well, just sharing here, exploit it until its gets ripped.--ShadowFog 15:25, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

It won't, don't worry. -Auron 01:44, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
well i used to love farming here with my sin. i loved getting into speed teams (six perma daggersins+orders necro+bonder monk) untill just recently. all the sudden people are getting really bitchy in the teams. all of a sudden a SoH monk needs to have UA and needs to have succor and needs to have this that and the other or hes just a failure. what the hell? its not the effing Underworld. Its free money. im gonna be really sad and angry if this place turns into another ToA where its jam packed with whiney B!tchey speed clear D!ckheads. which seems to be whats happeneing. if your a tombs farmer and you read this YOUR IN TOMBS BECAUSE YOU CANT AFFORD TO GO THE UW!!! STOP COMPLAINING WHEN YOU DONT GET THE CREAM OF THE CROP!!! if you can afford to go and hangout with other tight@$$ speedclear @$$holes then go do it and leave us tombs farmers alone. we have quite enough problems without you jerks coming in and screwing everything up. we are just some nice people that are a little short on cash and wanna farm for fun. if you want to farm rare items and massive ammounts of money go back to the UW. we dont want you here. plzkthxbai
Maybe one day anet will give us the manual that explain how to socialize with such kind people. Seems like they made a rule of giving candy like shadow form to the most polite players. I deduce this is the way we must socialise, wich, if i remember correctly, "is an important part of the game". Yseron - 90.9.249.140 19:29, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
on the topic of "farmers delight"... do you know how rare an ecto is here? ive gone on farms where we were a full party in HM and cleared the entire thing. with not a single ectoplasm. if you want ectos go to the underworld. this is for broke ppl XD24.10.107.147 07:07, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Briar
You agree with yourself? >_> Those uptight people are probably too uptight for the wiki, so they'll never see this. And, don't be uptight over uptight people. Oh, history says hai [1]. --8765 07:20, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Oops, UWSC farmer here. I saw it. You're in for it now... 68.51.95.206 06:35, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

HoM?[edit]

Is it possible to add a monument in the HoM after completion? I was just wondering out of curiousity... --Warnlord 01:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

I've completed this a lot of times. Sadly, no. No monuments for this one.--ShadowFog 02:21, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

A statue for the Hall of Monuments for completion of this area is a fantastic idea. There should also be an "End CHest" like in UW, FoW etc. It could drop golds as well as the greens only found here. One of the content updates should have this in it. If ANET were to be really creative, they could add effects to disrupt Assassins with "Fingers" skill as well, and add golds that were from next Create-A-Weapon Contest. Anyone disagree with that? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Jazilla (talk).

Nope, not at all. -MaskeusUser Maskeus sig.jpeg 23:20, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

I'm sorry, I don't know how to do this, but how about "Tombs" and "ToTPK" redirecting here? Those are the two most common ways I see this area referred to. 76.84.34.210 23:24, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

"Tombs" refers to Heroes' Ascent most times, but TotPK is fine...if people actually use that term. You can create a redirect by creating it with #REDIRECT [[Pagename]] and nothing else (except maybe applicable categories, but some industrious wikignome will probably do that for you anyway). Vili 点 User talk:Vili 23:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Someone should make a SC for This[edit]

The rewards may not be great enough, but it would be sweet if someone did. --68.115.108.135 04:09, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I agree with this. In my opinion, this area is fun to farm. I farm with a degen perma in Hard Mode. I imagine this area could be SC with a few assassins. --65.0.109.30 21:55, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
IMHO speed clears are killing the game enough as it is. You can't even find a real balanced team for UW anymore; they're all gimmicks with imbagons and perma tanks and Searing Flames nukers at best, or they fail. But that's an argument best left for another place than this one. --[-Kyoshi-]::[-Talk-] 22:06, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

History section[edit]

Isn't it a bit too flavorful for a wikipage? It combines regular lore with additional changes through updates (although these were documented in this way, too). Unless you know about it or if you know how to read between the lines, you can hardly see that this used in fact to be the place for Heroes' Ascent as PvP-only area. Here is some ancient guide from 2005 that tells how to get to the Hall of Heroes from the Tomb. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 14:46, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

It could probably use a bit of a rework to separate the lore from the gameplay. I'll do that sometime, when I have time (if someone else doesn't). -- Konig/talk 21:04, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

A/Me farmer (or bots)?[edit]

What's with all the A/Me guys running into the tombs? It's like a bee swarm. They're obviously not very good, since I see the same names appear again and again as I'm typing. A lot of them have names with random characters. 66.170.212.17 00:47, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

It only takes a minute or so to kill the Terrorwebs on the first level. If there's a bunch with random character names, though, they are probably bots. Does this sound like what you saw? Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 00:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
similar, a handful are with guild, but the vast majority are guildless. This is going on in international D1 right now. Are they bot-farming ectos? 66.170.212.17 01:14, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

I know this has already been nerfed but the topic needs to be explained...the farm took no time at all, however overall it is near impossible to bot said farm due to the amount of work it takes to start the farm up however it is not impossible(but may be impossible for a bot to kill all the targets for farm)...when I was doing this as a A/Me it took about 3 min to ball up foes and prep for the kill, after said time took a few seconds to unload a spike and get drops(if bots that can do all this can exist here than why are they not in use in JQ? Most bots in JQ are so lame that they just run to one spot and attack or follow closest person...). The point im trying to make is stop reporting ppl about stuff that u dont fully get. If you know the persons a bot than report them, if u dont than leave them alone(most of the time when I did this run I had all chats muted and was set to offline im sure I wasnt the only one with that setup...).~User:Dozell Zen~ August 08, 2011
