[edit] Spawning requirements

Does anyone know the pre-requisites for getting him to spawn in the middle of Grothmar Wardowns and offer Be Very, Very Quiet? -- Gordon Ecker 04:21, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

linsey said that you had to do all quests from the Ebon vanguard and gwen(irc) and after that he woud spawn randomly to help you ~ Kurd 13:08, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

You just have to complete the Vanguard primary quest line - Linsey talk 00:08, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I've completed the primary quests, and he spawns in Gothmar, but doesn't give the quests.. something I missed? Me55enger 15:03, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Correction, I was looking at the wrong spawn location.. re-zoned and Vael turned up across the river.. Might update wiki to reflect this. Me55enger 15:44, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

There must still be a real bug here: I completed the primary vanguard quests, then went for the quests from captain. during that, he spawned in the wardowns, i could talk to him, but no quests were given. now i finished all the quests from the captain and he wont spawn again in the wardowns. he now only spawns in the uplands and the valley to help me fighting, but i can't talk to him, nor can i get anymore quests. --Ineluki 12:58, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Which quest? Be Very, Very Quiet... is obtained from Vael in Gronthmar Wardowns after completing Assault on the Stronghold and Single Ugly Grawl Seeks Same for Mindless Destruction in Ascalon is obtained from Vael in Sacnoth Valley after completing Forbidden Fruit. The other two quests, Forbidden Fruit and Plan A, are obtained from Captain Langmar in Grothmar Wardowns. -- Gordon Ecker 21:51, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

How is this a tease for the rabbit hole? Almost every player is going to encounter the rabbits in Drakkar Lake before they get here. It's more like following the rabbits to meet Vael is some PR for making the bunnies seem all cute and innocent again. Yukiko 21:23, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Captain Osric similarities

I think this guy may well be Osric from Prophicies...just so many similarities. A. This goes along with the theme of tying up loose ends with Prophicies (he disapears after yaks bend, right after Rurik's death), B. He has a quote saying he was the one telling the King that Rurik died, coinsiding with his disapearance. 3. He knows alot about you (though this might be because he has been on 3 continents) and 4. He has the same armor, with a V on it, he wore in Prophicies.--Warior kronos 15:24, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Few years have passed between prophecies and eye of the north, it is a nice theory. I don't think it should be noted as trivia for vael or osric, but i like it. lussh 08:06, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
