Found him...[edit]

I found him near Oberan the Reviled, in the path south of him. 84.101.140.84 16:55, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

I found him in the room where the dead moa was, the one with all the candles in it--Yojimaru 17:05, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Found him on the path to the prize moa bird --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:92.86.212.85 (talk).

found him on the path to Oberan, where all the spiders are [ Pino 17:18, 5 March 2011 (UTC) ]
Two char runs, and BOTH times he was a prize moa - Stimpson J Kat 17:25, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Finally an easy one, five minutes not an hour and half. I found him to the SW where devourers are. Ramei Arashi 17:25, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Take a look at this pic http://i51.tinypic.com/v8dmd3.jpg i found him ther User:Hey_Xander
Who ever posted the last comment, thank you for the pic. That is where I found him. The main map needs to be updated with that spawn location please. Anna Sophia 22:09, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Incomplete map[edit]

Looks like the map is missing a few spawn points. I found him by the waterfall with hidden spiders, just off the path to Oberan the Reviled. --Wormwood 18:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Me too, he stands at the point where there are waterfalls either side of him, down the path from Oberon. Spax 18:50, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Dialogue[edit]

Langmar says that Duke Gaban would be killed by devourers, and he is killed by a devourer catapult in The Flight North. The dialogue might be referencing what will happen. - Giant Nuker 18:10, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

I think that's pretty certain. -RoyHarmon 21:02, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Interesting that in the BMP he's somehow deteriorated down to a lowly level 1 :) --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 13:00, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Restless Corpse[edit]

The lvl 11 restless corpse' went about killing the lower level undead spawn. I doubt they meant this to happen seeing as how the other Quest spawns such as grawl do not attack their lower level counterparts. ..͏..Ðreki..͏ 18:43, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

"The nest was a lie!" Obviously he thought it would be delicious and moist. 94.169.28.49 19:33, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

I was just about to write that. Portal reference seems very likely. NALANA 21:15, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
But it's hard to understate our statisfaction. Aperture Devourers ;) We do what we must, because we can ^^ --Vampiretrix 08:28, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
I doubt this is a portal reference. I recommend removing that trivia. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 184.35.5.128 (talk • contribs) at 01:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC).
Except that "X is a lie" is a very well-known meme and most people won't incidentally say something like that instead of something like "He lied about the nest!". Because it's not confirmed yet, it seems best to leave it the way it is, which is saying that they're similar without claiming it as a reference. Blue Totoro 18:11, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Boring[edit]

Relative to the annihilation quest in the same area. The combat's somewhat dry with just mes's and wars, and escorting doesn't really add much substance. They should add skeleton rangers or something to liven things up (heh). --68.55.65.212 16:38, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Pop-ups after you rescue the Duke would have been difficult fun.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:18, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
I had a good chuckle imagining a revert war between those crossing out difficult and those crossing out fun. :-) Morgaine 10:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Boring yes, but still one of the better grinds for anything/Monk. - Infinite - talk 10:39, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
It's pre. Honestly, compare any of the gameplay in pre to any real game out there. This area is not supposed to be fun, it's supposed to introduce you to the mechanics of the game whil distracted by pretty scenery and then you leave. You could spend 10 minutes tab spacing your way through the catacombs or you could play a round of Street Fighter 4 or a match in CoD, both of which will provide you will an infinitely more enjoyable game experience. Hell, Flower is more fun than pre. This area is grind in it's most basic and vanilla form. It's great for those who like pre or are grind crazy and want to fill that OCD compulsion for titles, but don't expect it to be "fun". 12:11, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Cool story, but in the end, it's a game. And it's SUPPOSED to be fun. 67.249.45.168 23:51, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Duke's level[edit]

Hi, I'm level 17 and Duke Gaban is level 15 with me :) Joeyw 17:15, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

As with my level 13 at 5, and level 18 at 15. It scales with the level, like the foes, and I've adjusted the page to reflect that.--Mystisteel 22:08, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

spawns[edit]

It would be nice, both for this one and the other quests, if the map showed where all the new spawns are. That way, for those of us who are OCD and like to grind for XP, we can farm those monsters more efficiently. --Kristofferus 21:33, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

I agree, if at least a note was added that specified which portal new spawns were easily farmed from that would be very helpful. Tallons 00:32, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
