They've started dropping off monsters. I got one from a Naga on Shing Jea Island. - BeX iawtc 07:26, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I just got a victory token off a training dummy in the Isle of the Nameless. :D --Redfeather 08:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
I got 3 of them from hydras way up in the Dragon's Gullet (Prophecies) with my Elonian Dervish. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.179.109.144 (talk).
Does anyone know what happens if I still have a bunch of tokens left over from the last Dragon Festival? Will I get to keep them till the next one? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Number3son (talk).
Yeh they have been used at other events too. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 08:15, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
I got some from Margonites while i don't even own factions xD -81.205.185.66 20:36, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Cantha Newyears 2008[edit]

Were these dropped by monsters during the Year of the Rat celebration? I didn't find any, but the collectors were in town anyway... o.O Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 19:23, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

The collectors were a glitch, they shouldn't have been there. No tokens were dropped. Calor Talk 19:24, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
They were there because tokens can be randomly obtained from Festival prizes on the boardwalk. 82.16.137.96 14:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
I've had 3 Victory Token drops right now, while exploring a bit in Salt Flats. Don't know if it's relevant, just thought I'd share. (80.56.20.206 00:15, 4 July 2008 (UTC))
Do you have to have factions? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:24.233.128.186 (talk).
For the event at Shing Jea Monastery and the Dragon Arena, yes. Those who don't have it only have access to the Rollerbeetle Race and the collectors for trading the tokens.--Fighterdoken 01:09, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Don't be hatin' Dragon Arena. That can be accessed too in Great Temple of Balthazar, among other places. Calor Talk 01:22, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
You can't access the arena if you don't own Factions. The NPCs for getting there are in other places, but unless you own the campaign it will not let you in.--Fighterdoken 01:32, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Old Item Conversion[edit]

Any words on whether or not certain old festival items will be convertible in the future? I have 250 orbs from a dragon festival but was unable to collect the mask at the finale. I would really loooove to see these go to use. -24.72.23.101 15:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

haha ya i got like 220 left from the first festival ... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.96.19.7 (talk).
Nope, Jadewind Orbs won't be used. I'll trade you a stack of VTs for your stack of orbs though. Since they aren't used in game and are practically worthless, they'd be useful to me for guild related events. :D Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 07:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Don't drop from raptors[edit]

... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.101.84.31 (talk).

That's not how special drops work...you're just unlucky. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 07:54, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Reminds me of the[edit]

Getting the most for your tokens[edit]

For sweets, get Crème Brûlées from Sheng Yi. They're worth 3 points whereas Red Bean Cakes is worth only 2 points and they both cost the same.

For alcohol, get a Flask of Firewater from Sheng Yi. They’re worth 3 points whereas a Bottle of Rice Wine is worth only 1 point and they both cost the same. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 00:55, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Flask of Firewater now gives intoxication of 5 lvl, not 3 --Rosenfeld 14:25, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't intoxication lvl 5 = 3 title points? 109.66.34.245 14:49, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

It's best to get a Dragon Festival Grab Bag, too, right? It's a 1:1 ratio, even if it isn't repeatable forever. Blue Totoro (talk) 10:27, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

DoA[edit]

Had some of these drop just now in the Domain of Anguish even tho no special event is running... 31.185.225.131 20:09, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

ya i just got like 7 of these on a quick run in EotN. also got a birthday cupcake... 24.127.147.240 21:38, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Dropping in Pre-Searing[edit]

So these now drop everywhere (including in Pre), but does anyone know if there is any use for these for perma-pre characters? Aqua (T|C) 20:38, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Why are these selling for so high?[edit]

I don't understand how these can sell for as high as 20k per stack, when they should only sell for around 6k. It's easy to get a stack for the mask token and you can only get it once per account. Random Weird Guy 14:33, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Probably because your second point isn't widely understood yet. Sell them at the high price while you can. -- FreedomBound 14:46, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
If you save tokens for the Birthday Celebration, 250 tokens = 25 cupcakes = 12.5-25k (depending on market prices). OTOH, a lot of people find the token-quests mind-numbingly boring, so they might be willing to pay 20k just to avoid doing them again. (I'm happy to sell the stacks for 20k, though.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:01, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
It doesn't seem realistic to me that so many people are desperate to stock up for next year's birthday celebration, by which time GW2 would have been out for months. Random Weird Guy 23:10, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
Not everyone intends to play GW2. Those who do might not care about having a few 100k in the GW1 bank and would, instead, prefer to be ready for the next 3-4 GW1 Dragon Festivals (so that they don't have to do more than logon/get a hat, logoff).
That explains why people might pay 20k this year, but ...every festival with a token-like drop, the trade price of that token skyrockets, exceeding any reasonable definition of fair, based on what one can get with it. And every festival, I ask the same question: why are people willing to overpay? – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:47, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

How do I get more Victory Tokens?[edit]

I have 7 Victory Tokens leftover from previous years, and I need 10 at least to exchange for the better items from the Zaishen Supply Master [Victory Token Rewards]. I've been playing Dragon Arena and Rollerbeetle Racing but I've not been getting Victory Tokens at all. How do I get more Victory Tokens so that I can exchange them for something good? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 218.186.18.232 (talk) at 17:05, 5 February 2014‎ (UTC).

See Victory Token#Acquisition. Victory Tokens can only be acquired during the Anniversary Celebration and Dragon Festival. --Silver Edge 20:45, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
hmm was it ever possible to acquire Victory Tokens during the Canthan New Year? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 218.186.18.232 (talk) at 21:01, 5 February 2014‎ (UTC).
Actually, I overlooked one line in that section I linked: "5 randomly awarded from a Festival Prize". So you can acquire Victory Tokens from Festival Prizes during Canthan New Year. --Silver Edge 21:44, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
