The hell is up with the huge variation in War Supplies rewards for these Most Wanted missions? User Radthor Dax Sig.png Radthor Dax 16:23, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

There's no logic. 15 to 4 to 15 to 4. Right. Future User Future Signature.png 16:28, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, apparently they're using some specific factors to set the reward. Perhaps it has to do with the numbers of WiK foes encountered on the way or something. /shrug Yesterday's had several while I don't know that today's does. Or maybe they just felt like making it random. :) - Clobimon Craiggy 16:34, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Bah. Again a SB Wanted that isn't worth the time. Waar Kijk Je Naar 16:34, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Agreed...I can escort Falken for 12 much easier and shorter. (Usaf1a8xx 16:54, 26 May 2010 (UTC))
Which leads me to believe that either these will be buffed or Falken will be nerfed. Wanna bet? Idmz 17:26, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I forsee them making Falken not repeatable, making his reward not as high, or adding more enemies along the way. (Usaf1a8xx 17:39, 26 May 2010 (UTC))
I think the systen is based on the number of enemies it takes to get to the boss. Valis the Rampant only required you to face about one group before you reached him, while Cerris was surrounded by his peeps, dead and undead.
I like the part "Allies of the Throne will receive a generous bounty when final justice is meted out to Sarnia", emphasies on Generous =D

fuck yeah[edit]

4 supplies!!!1 User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 17:59, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

... why are we doing this again? Sure i want to do them but if the reward is so low i'm doing it NM in stead of HM...
i hope its something they're gonna fix and it will be 10/15 next time. Sjacie User:Sjacie 18:37, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, i agree the HM reward isnt high enough above the NM reward. I mean, a lvl 30 boss with level 26-30 mob compared to a lvl 24 boss? I did struggle a bit-i actually died and had to go back. If you are doing it in Hard Mode, take out the Abbot first, then the ritualist. Take out the mob before the boss is the best tip i can give, because they are fairly tough. And if you want to try Discordway, it works. --Burning Freebies 10:05, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Awesome reward... User Demonical Monk av.png Demonical Monk 17:59, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Quest Influence[edit]

I was just doing this quest with Defend North Kryta Province in my log, and the area was full of titans, but the boss wasnt there. Maybe this should be noted? HHamster 19:44, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

i think its really stupid. tbh. your better off doing falken runs. . . Lottia Saurus 19:27, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Aggree, it is wiki format to list the quest that can influence the spawns... good catch MrPaladin talk

I think a part of this simply is that you can do skill captures with the bosses. Not something you get with the Falken runs. There may also be an increased chance of Unique drop, perhaps? Tashiro 15:07, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

I was also doing this quest with Defend North Kryta Province active, and Sarnia was there but she was killed by titans. Of course quest was complited. User:Guest 23:09, 1 Nov 2010

I did Defend North Kryta Province with Wanted: Insatiable Vakar active, and Sarnia did spawn. She wasn't killed by titans, though. As it appears that both can happen (spawns/doesn't spawn), should the note remain on the page? Or not? I don't really know about if this quest is active, though. Nym 07:23, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

bug?[edit]

If you attract them far, the IA doesn't work fine, they don't attack and stuck.

That's how it is for most enemies: if you pull them far away, their AI can't get them back to their spawn, so they just sit there unable to do much. --76.114.80.153 17:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

(Almost) A Complete Waste of Time![edit]

Well, I do not know what others think, but as far as I am concerned, I will never bother with doing this quest - ever again. Yes, I have killed Sarnia several times in hm, mostly when vanquishing North Kryta (bit late with some chars) rather than doing this silly quest. Well, I had both this quest and Amalek the Unmerciful on one of my secondary chars, so thought I would do both with hero/hench in hm. Well I killed Amalek very easily (15 war supplies), with nobody in party dying, so went on to Sarnia - party wipe - twice. So I though stuff hm for 1 war supply, tried in nm and that silly courier spawned and kept spawning more and more wm near Sarnia (should have let him die earlier) - wipe again in nm. I refuse to waste any more time on repeatedly doing stupid quest for crap reward...
Done Riverside Assassination several times, very easily via front gate (once with hero/hench) for the equivalent of 25 times the reward!!! (5 Royal Gifts = 75 War Supplies divided by 3).
Unless you are really, really, desperate for War Supplies and don't have many chars to get them with, don't both with this. User Arrowmaster Sig.pngArrowmaster - 19:58, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

I dunno what Anets playing at, but they've pretty much killed Wanted Bounties for me, yay 4 War supplies .. wahoo Zachariah Zuan. 10:46, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Why would one or two wanted bossed yielding sub par bounty kill the whole concept for you? It's not like you HAVE to do them every day and there are plenty of wanted bosses giving much higher bounties. --Manassas User Manassas Mannysig.png 11:09, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I said pretty much, not OMG I DUN WANT TO DO DIS ANYMO ITS SUCKS, I enjoy wanteds as part of the Role Play experiance, I just feel that the bounties should be equalized, such as this one should give 5 NM and an extra 5-3 HM or something like that cause you don't get much for your little trek, Zachariah Zuan. 11:12, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

The reasons I don't consider this a waste of time is first off, you're still getting War Supplies. Second, you get the opportunity to wade through Tengu mobs that drop loads of feathers, third you can still avoid the majority of those tengu if you're patient and let them kill themselves on the peacekeepers. Finally, the boss is a joke if you have a SS/SV Necro hero. I'll also note that the way to the boss is a lot shorter if you leave from D'Alessio Seaboard. 4 War Supplies is adequate for a quest that takes less than 5 minutes to do. -- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 12:43, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Four War Supplies isn't even an adequate reward for zoning in, taking the quest and then zoning out of town, let alone killing stuff in addition to that. 122.104.175.131 03:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

decline[edit]

obv a reference to the song. 70.135.124.76 16:35, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Reference?[edit]

I think its a reference to the roman name for Guernsey-possibly. --Burning Freebies 11:23, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Sarnia is the Roman name for the isle of Guernsey, but is it noteworthy for this article? Aside from the coincidence of the name, there's nothing else the two have in common. The city of the same name in Ontario, Canada is more prominent in a google search. The term, red-handed is of Scots origin (not Roman or English). It wouldn't surprise me if the developers had heard of the Guernsey connection, but it wouldn't surprise me if they hadn't, either.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:35, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
I might dare say Red Sonja comes to mind before Roman Sarnia, and she's at least a warrior. Yeah, I know, it sometimes takes a year or two before I manage to read a discussion. 76.164.65.219 21:34, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
