Changed "suests" to "Quests"... Figured nobody would mind...

Whats the req and where exactly is this thing because im looking all over and cant find it... Waldir

No req that I can tell. It's in the Keep area. Backsword 00:28, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Well you can sorta say the req is to do all of that bullshit to git into the keep. But i guess that doesnt really count.:/ 69.107.74.43 00:51, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Imagine what we would have to list for quest givers at the ned of campaigns if we listed all the reqs for getting to the quest giver. Backsword 00:52, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
New War Bounty, like the Zaishen Bounty, it's not only LFG ZB, also have LFG WB now. Matty Asia 00:55, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Most if not all of these can be easily hero/hench'd... I have yet to see anyone party-searching for a War Bounty. Batmanhatguy 8:47, 11/19/2010 (EDT)
No new log section, so people will have to agree on a name for them . Backsword 00:57, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
If there are requirements before you can do this they should be listed. Ramei Arashi 05:26, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
There are a lot of requirements. I'll put it on there in a short version. Sjacie User:Sjacie 06:55, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Front page?[edit]

Should a link to this be added to the front page, similar to the Zaishen quests, should this prove to have several quests available? --Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 04:59, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm a bit worried about the scope of these. Zaishen Bounties can be from anywhere in the entire game, but if this is just for White Mantle/Peacekeeper bosses, it could get repetitive very quickly... Arshay Duskbrow 06:43, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
At least there is some war action and please link it to the front page. Cause it takes a little long to find it. Sjacie User:Sjacie 06:54, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
We should probably wait until we at least know how frequently it gets updated. And it's two clicks from the main page... -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 10:30, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, there are several bosses of the peacekeepers, along with that protect the courier thing, and there is still any thing that may be added in the future. This has potential to at least be less repetitive than the Zaishen Combat quests. Also, for adding it to the front page, I think it would be a simple addition, not requiring any change to the box sizes. If a change is needed, it would be a simple fix.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 16:06, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, the quest reset at the same time as the zaishen quests did, so I'm presuming it will be daily. I'm thinking it should be on the front page.User Sower of chaossig.jpg Sower 16:26, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
If thats the case, then I propose that whomever designed the layout for the Zaishen quest page and made the link with the front page also do this page. Consistency is important. All that is needed to add it to the front page is a line added to the activities page linking to a Wanted template, and a duplication and then edit of the zaishen mission and zaishen mission/archive pages (the archives being made to have as of now 3 total possibilities, the two quests we know then the last being "Unknown" so that when the quests rotate, we dont have the wrong boss listed)--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 16:32, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, this needs to go on the main page. I attempted to do it myself, but that coding was way too advanced for me, or rather, I don't have the time to figure it out. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 17:54, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Abbreviation Redirects[edit]

In line with the abbreviation redirect of zq -> Zaishen Challenge Quest, I have added two redirects to Wanted by the Shining Blade, i.e. wsb and sbq for quick access. Arrowmaster 08:49, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Incorrect Requirements[edit]

I entered the Keep and I was able to get the quest from this signpost w/o seeing Dialogue 5 and 6 as stated in the Notes section. (I did see Dialogue 1, 2, and 4. I left halfway through Dialogue 2 and when I decided to finish up the Dialogues, they skipped 3. >.>)

I only gave Lt. Thackeray 1 Drake Kabob prior to the update btw.

Yea, there appear to be several "requirement" bugs. The skipping of dialog 3, premature entering the keep, skipping the trial of Zinn, and the item hunt for Thackeray all seem to be out of wack. Me thinks a bug report should be made or the requirements should be updated to reflect the facts.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 16:02, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
It's not really a bug. The only requirement for getting into the keep is Dialogue 4 in the War in Kryta dialogues. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 17:53, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
True, but it seems funny how you can skip the "requirements" to see the 4th dialog. Once we get to understand what causes these "required" events to skip over, we may be able to accurately map out exactly what effects what.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 06:49, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
ive founded how to "ferry" to Thackeray (see his talk page), and i toyed around the camp, theres NO way to skip ANYTHING, plz stop to give wrong informations, nothing can be skiped at all, you need to fill all the requirements for dialogue4 (witch doesnt include anything about Thackeray). Basicly theres only 1 stuff required, its to beat eotn/proph, simply. (like shown by the flow chart png, btw it show theres no skip of dialogue3, its normal that you dont see it)

edit: oh yeah, i want to mention its possible to whitness a dialogue that your not suppose to, like, toonA dont have trial (but cleared eotn), and toonB have trial, in that case you can listen to the dialogue, but the keep will NOT open for toonA. It realy annoyed to see that in the talk page, people claiming its buggy, can skip ect... while its not at all obviously and theres no way to skip anything

If such is the case, then yes, both of us are indeed correct. I went and looked at the flow chart, which points towards that fact (albeit in a confusing manner to some people, currently it is indeed set up as: dialog 2-> dialog 4 if yes / dialog 3 if no, which could be easily modified to be less confusing visually). The dialog that is third in line at the Shining Blade camp is in fact mutually exclusive with the forth dialog once the trial has been witnessed (a thing done by several people) prior to viewing the third dialog. Considering the large number of people that are indeed not viewing the flowchart (since it only exists on the WiK page, not the dialog page), then I suggest a note be placed on the said dialog page (between 3 and 4), telling people of this said exclusiveness, or having a proper (and noticeable) link to the flowchart (a thumbnail would work wonders) be present on the page. This would probably end the ensuing conversations you are so annoyed by. I myself fell to this illogical layout, simply because the dialog page is laid out as they were released (good in its own right, yes, but not for how people are currently using it), not as how one views them based on other factors (which is what people are looking at it for). All in all, my argument now is that the current method of viewing the dialogs to find what is said and where that together lead to the Lion's Arch Keep is, in fact, misleading, and as such is doing a pretty good job at that. clarification is needed to keep your outward annoyance down. And just so its clear, you do, in all truth of the words I am typing, skip the third dialog, like everyone else has been saying, once the trial has been seen (which for me was easier to witness than the rest of the dialogs). So seriously stop saying your annoyed. Not every Guild Wars player uses the wiki (or simply put, this wiki) to find information, or for that matter know how to effectively navigate through this jumbled mess that has become the documentation of the WiK as a whole. They use what they experience in the game itself (as what I try to do. Play the game for the first time through fully without using the walk-throughs on the wiki and tell me that you didn't enjoy the game a hell of a lot more and wish you had cheeped out the easy way) as it is presented. It just so happens that this game presents several things in different angles. In conclusion, currently the combined experiences of the players have their collective understanding pointing towards the fact that these loopholes, which are indeed (for some reason) purposely put into the game, are bugs. It is not their fault that the release of these dialogs and related events have been designed to not be all logically experienced sequentially.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 08:05, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Bug ?[edit]

I completed the quest and went to Great Temple of Balthazar. 'Great Temple of Balthazar' it is highlighted green on my map as if the NPC to get the reward was there. I assume there was a copy/paste of the Zaishen quests code. Vezz 17:15, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

I could swear I was directed to the LA keep on the two I did, so perhaps its a bug for only some people? I know for certain that once your in the Keep at least it acts correctly. Ill test it later on today and in the next few days.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 22:40, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Is it a countdown timer?[edit]

I was wondering if the Wanted quests were going to be a countdown to the end of the War In Kryta events, or if they were just going to repeat like the Zbounty does. But if so, there are only 11 Peacekeeper Bosses, and 8 Related White Mantle Bosses... less than a month left?Sloh Em Oshun 17:38, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Got me. Not that we'd want it but I guess there's the possibility of needing to eliminate numbers of non-bosses. - Clobimon Craiggy 18:24, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
I hope they are repeatable. I mean, I only have a couple chars able to access this stuff, and I'd like to be able get the biggest pile of war supplies possible. Please, oh please, be repeatable!! --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 19:20, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
If you want a big pile of war supplies, I suggest Courier Falken, then. Better reward given time/effort and repeatable. Pendaran 02:17, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

So many links to the page you're already on? lol[edit]

Krytan[edit]

I would like to point out, since I was about to complain about how I couldn't abandon these because they weren't on here, these show up in the Kryta section, I figured they would have their own section, like how none of the Zaishen Challenges are considered Battle Isle quests, but instead they are lopped in with the rest if the Kryta quests. Two Wanted quests in one day?[edit]

Is it just me or did the Inquisitor bounties both show up on the same day ? Yesterday at about 21.00, gmt+1, there was the Truth seeker one and now there are two new inquisitor ones. How come they released two of them on the same day? -MadSkillz1o1

Since these two have special dialogue, I suspect they might not be repeatable in the future and were released with todays update to be necessary to unlock future WiK content 173.88.136.15 09:00, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Destor's came in the same time frame as the two inquisitors. The Inquisitors just came much later, and were added with the reduction in the Courier's reward. Limited time unlock of content isn't a smart move, and it seems unlikely. What special dialogue do you mean? Kyubiko 11:53, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
He means Bauer's speech (second one) and the other one (which I can't find on the wiki atm). -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 12:06, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Today is just the one, again, for now: Selenas the Blunt. Reward: 3+1, 1000xp and 250 gold. *puzzled* Twam Valandil 94.209.65.245 16:11, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
The two Inquisitor quests are still available, so they must be one-time quests not associated with the daily rotation. Scutilla 16:21, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
So it seems, Ill keep them in the Template, however, till its proven that they are not repeatable.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 18:17, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Following the walkthrough i've just gained access to the keep and i can obtain 3 quests today including these two. I assume they are one time only quests for the story and the others will be rotation. Its odd how you can gain them without seeing the dialogure about Bauer appearing etc. --Smithy-Star User Smithyben sig icon.png 18:35, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Probably an overlooked loophole. Ill move the 2 quests off of the list, since so far the prof I've seen in-game seems valid enough to do this. Should a note be made on the page about the pattern of rewards from the "repeatable" quests? They seem to have been consistent enough.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:14, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Bauer and Lashona are still available today (with Amilyn). 82.143.219.108 17:44, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Then I suggest that these quests be removed from their current list (The ones said to update daily) and be in their own list.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 02:20, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Cycle[edit]

It's worth noting, for anyone keeping track, that if Wanted: quests are anything like zquests (which they clearly are), updates that affect the quests like the one yesterday will reset the cycle, meaning we should most likely be watching for Wanted: Destor the Truth Seeker to roll around again rather than Wanted: Insatiable Vakar. - Tanetris 20:53, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Well considering that the two added yesterday are not part of the cycle, they should be posted as a separate quest type, not as part of a repeating cycle. We know these are not a part of it due to the fact that characters that newly unlock the keep are able to take those quests, where as if they are a cycle, they would have been replaced at the last turnover. I Also would question the need for numbering the quests on their pages as they come out, I see no point of it if they are cyclical.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 23:46, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
I was referring to the "Rebalanced the rewards for completing Wanted by the Shining Blade quests." in the update notes, not the Inquisitor bounties that are clearly separate from the cycle. - Tanetris 13:35, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Bounty Limit[edit]

Can someone please explain what is wrong with having more than three Z/SB quests at a time? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 04:21, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Four tiny slips of paper wouldn't fit in the heroes' pockets. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 04:21, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
Part of the reason for the Zaishen Challenges is to make it easier for people to find groups for certain activities. Because the game has so many different things to do, PuGs have become few and far between in most places, so putting a focus on certain activities each day helps people find groups. If there was no limit players would just grab them all and the only difference would be more reward. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 04:32, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
If the community has fallen that far into shambles I don't think there's anything anyone can do to really fix it. It's annoying having to log in every day even if I don't feel like playing or else I'll miss a quest. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:49, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
You don't have to do a quest every day. The reason why they give a good reward for them is because otherwise players that have done the quest already in HM won't have a reason to do it again. NM is simple enough for most people to h/h effectively, but HM is not, thus the reward for higher end players. They allow only 3 at a time because its a slight ease on the servers and that way people cant get a spike on the Z-coins, allowing for manipulating the price for the higher end z-coin rewards.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 21:31, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
Imagine if they were all available and could only be gotten again after x number of days, where x is the number of quests. People would do all of the quests in a day or two and have nothing to do for x-1 days. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 22:38, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
No I don't have to do the wanted bounties, but if I don't I'll likely be left behind when anet randomly decides to drop the Medal of Honor grind content on us. I wouldn't really have complained if the two story-line bounties weren't part of the limit. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 01:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
I know, the 3/4 bounties are ridiculous to keep in the game, they arn't worth even doing in hard mode. At least with the 10/15s you can get a decent haul of War Supplies that their almost worth it. The only other alternative is to run the courier in NM, HM is too much of a pain unless you have the precise build for the run, which if you do, sharing is caring ;). Good luck I say, and don't let it tick you off too much. All we can do is hope the grind wont be as harsh as we can imagine it to be.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 04:00, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Ugh. Just seeing it written makes me cringe "anet randomly decides to drop the Medal of Honor grind content on us." What exactly do you all think this might entail? Zcoin style rewards where they'te mostly junk, and then an exclusive somewhat useful reward (i.e.Heavy Equipment Pack). Personally I would like a minipet market place, so I can buy a damn panda. Siris/talk 05:45, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Medals of honor are mostly likely to be traded for the Shining Blade weapons that are in the .dat but have yet to appear in game. Hopefully they will also be HoM-eligible, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 11:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
I actually completely forgot that there's no confirmation on the new WM weapons being obtainable. They may just have been put in as eye candy for the WIK mantle. I believe I've set myself up for extreme disappointment. Aside from a new weapon vendor I don't know what they will be used for. It doesn't really make sense that you would get a Medal of Honor and then just trade it away for something else. We went through all of this effort for the Shining Blade just to give away their highest honors? If the real-world MoH has any relevance to the in-game MoH then we're pretty hardcore SB allies at the moment. I don't think we would just turn around and give it away.
I'm absolutely positive though that Anet didn't think that far into this and it's going to be a new token stack to take up storage space. Whatever it is let's hope they learned something from their incredibly stupid previous attempt at daily token rewards. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:12, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Wait so you mean you aren't a fan of a useless crate of useless things? You don't like spending hours worth of tokens on something that doesn't get noticed or contribute to a title? weird... :) Siris/talk 15:14, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Proposed move of boss trivia sections to this page[edit]

The trivia for the rejection dialogue for each boss is the same. Does it need to be duplicated for each quest's page? Wouldn't it make more sense to put it here, saying "The decline dialogue for these quests is a reference to..." ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 05:39, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

gold bug?[edit]

I've never had 100k, but generally if a quest reward would give you an item, and your inventory is full, you get an error message. If it usually does that with gold, but does not for these quests, that would be a bug. Someone want to give me 100k so I can test? :P -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 15:43, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Skill Capture[edit]

Are these bosses permanantly added to Prophecies to be skill capped or is it a "cap their elite fast while the quest is still out" type of deal? 24.126.139.64 22:16, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Quest Split[edit]

Seeing as how the two Inquisitor quests are available to anyone until their completion upon entering the keep, I feel that they need to be separated from the current list. Have them still under the Quests section, but have a second explanation line between them describing their difference: These quests were released <date> and are available upon entering the Keep. As of yet it is not known if these quests will be repeatable. or something or other. These two, based upon their introduction, difficulty, and overall difference from the current (and supposed repeatable) Bounty Quests I feel warrants this.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 02:29, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

There are three of them now, but yeah, that makes sense. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 02:54, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
The problem is the page gets the quest list from the category page, which lists all of the bounties. We would need to go to that category and remove those 3, then add those three in either a new category or directly to the page. I dont want to take any action yet, but I am strongly advising it now to streamline the quest system (were listing them as one type, but they are in fact two different types all together) and making a more professional image for the page.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 03:25, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
It appears that the three Inquisitor bounties are going to be non-repeatable, sine they are required for the Riverside Assassination quest.--User Pyron Sy sig.png Pyron Sy 03:31, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Exactly, so after a consensus is formed, I think we need to split them into two separate lists.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 04:55, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

I would suggest to change the list into a table with showing the only 1 time available quests and the daily ones with a column for date ,one for normal mode reward, one for hard mode reward and one for the total award similar to the quest overview at the Zaishen Challenge Quest Page.

Rotating[edit]

Where did you get the information that the other quests are rotating? They did not rotate yet... --84.112.37.174 11:47, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Due to the 3 quest limit and the fact that the quests are only available for a day, Their following the Zaishen quests to the letter. There was even a bug before that redirected a player to the Great Temple once they had completed the quests in HM. This was fixed in a later update. Just to say, were pretty sure their going to rotate.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 11:54, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Storywise, it would be strange to have to kill the same mantle boss twice. Maybe when they'll run out of boss something else will happen in the War in Kryta storyline.--74.13.153.209 16:51, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
If that is the case then yes, we will rectify our then predicament. But ending an endgame event like this (thus removing the ability to get War Supplies and the like) would make an outcry from the community that I think would be quite riotous.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 01:33, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Storywise it wouldn't make sense to kill anything twice; you still do a lot of time, not only in ZBounties. Nevertheless, it's very likely that those quests will be rotating, as Guild Wars is made so that every player can do everything at any time (outside of events). So having a quest only bound to one single day won't be happen, instead the quest will be made available later again. And usually this is based on a rotation similar to the ZQuests. Destor the Truth Seeker was the one that they had during the day that they changed the rewards. So we won't see if it's rotating from Vakar as the start point or not until we get to Destor again, or just after. Kyubiko 18:03, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

For now I think we should still remain with the buffer on the template. If we find that it repeats about Id say 5 or 6 quests, then we assume its has cycled through. Added or replaced?[edit]

I've heard everyone but one guy that they behave just like Zaishen quests. But this guy here claims that they are saved from one day to another, and so he hwas 7 in the post. MY theory is that after one or two updates they added more than one 'forcefully' to the post (One day I saw 3 added at the same time, and another 2). And there are also the ones that do are not repeatable, that also stay. That would make 3 forced + 3 non-repeatable + 1 daily = 7. Anyone have tested if they are added daily or replaced by the next one instead? MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 17:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't really get what you are talking about. Anyway, there are three permanent one-time quests, and one quest that changes daily. You can only have 3 quests of all accepted at once. poke | talk 18:05, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
On one day, Inquisitor Bauer and Inquisitor Lashona were added next to the 'regular' wanted Boss. Another day, Inquisitor Lovisa was added next to the regular wanted Boss. This explains the 3 and 2 you saw added at the same time. The ones that are not repeatable are these 3 Inquisitors, the 3 forced are these 3 non-repeatable. -- Arduin talk 18:40, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
So could he have 7 quests waiting in the post if you can only have 3 permanent and one that changes daily? MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 22:25, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
No, there will be only 1 of the dailies waiting on the post, just like the Zaishen Bounty for instance. -- Arduin talk 07:09, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Most likely either A) They reached the end of Wanted bosses and started the cycle over, or B) An update caused the cycle to reset before reaching the end (Which also happened to Zaishen quests once). --Manassas User Manassas Mannysig.png 13:40, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

New Special Bounty (a la Inquisitor Bauer, Inquisitor Lashona, Inquisitor Lovisa)?[edit]

No problem here, I'm getting excited about it. Can't wait for a true content update for the WiK that will reveal more about the struggle and provide more rewards and even more allure for future updates. I'm lenient on myself for completing the bounties, Wanted and zaishen alike, as I have either collected a surplus of the reward or I no longer "Need" the said reward. Ill probably get smacked in the face however when a true reward update is added for the bounties however... Such is my luck.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 04:11, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

In-game bug, the wiki wouldn't be affected as the template I made has a "buffer" on it, it wont reset like this until that buffer is removed. Until the quests update the wiki main page says Wanted: unknown, signaling that someone needs to go in game, find out the bounty, and make the appropriate page and add it to the template or fix the template due to the cycle starting over.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 21:36, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Personally i say its zombies. but just my two cents. Could this issue arise from them trying to implement something huge, and in the process be stepping on little things such as their wanted rotation? Siris/talk 00:30, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
It can be as simple as an auto-updating date code that is placed for the start of the cycle. Updating the module that the Wanted quests are in can reset such a code line if that is what they were using (though Id rather doubt it, they are not that dumb). Basically, the update codes are like plucking a string of a web and watching the shockwave move across it. The wave moves, sending off other smaller shockwaves. Everything is so interconnected, you cant tell what little piece made what other little piece break when things like this happen.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 05:37, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Well this is kind of annoying from a player perspective because we're now redoing content that has already been done as we wait for the next installment... Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:51, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Well there is a perfectly good explanation for those resets that does not involve any bug. Whenever they add new bosses to the list, they manually move the counter to the point where these new bosses are chosen next, right? Then, naturally, the bounties cycle and... the first of the list get chosen. Of course only additional bounties affect the list and not special quests such as the inquisitors. So as long as they keep adding new bounties -which could not be tagged as a bad thing imho- we cannot hope to get a full cycle; unless they manually move the counter again after the new content has been shown. 84.101.127.166 21:38, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

cycle resets with every update nuff said 87.79.141.40 18:35, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
That repeatedly has not been the case. There have been several updates that immediately impact the WiK content, the Wanted quests in particular, and so far lass than half of them have had a "reset" bug. We don.t know if the latest reset is indeed a bug or intentional. There are 3 slots in the cycle that were taken up by the last reset. These are probably the days where the remaining few White Mantle bosses belong. That would make the quest resetting now be perfectly logical.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 20:49, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
You cannot "assume the cycle ended officially" until the whole list will have cycled completely once, or if some official words from ArenaNet say so. So far, we have no way of knowing if it has or if the list bugged ans reset again. ArenaNet can always add new bosses like they did previously to extend the current list of bosses.--74.13.154.10 21:25, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Based on the current number of White Mantle, and the fact that I do believe all but a few (around three) have an associated Wanted quest, I think we can assume it is the end of the cycle. By that I mean the end of the current build's cycle. Yes, I know they can always add more in, they have done that several times now and I and several others have fixed the template and the page to reflect that. But saying that the cycle is bugged up and resets every update is not true, and being such I refuted it. After I say 5-7 quests sequentially cycle back around through, I think it would be safe to assume the cycle isn't getting any new members in, other than maybe to replace the three days the cycle was reset. Should they add new ones, then we will simply re-extend the template and do it again. Currently putting the same quests on the template 2 or 3 times is not only ineffective since their proceeding in order, but a pain to update constantly.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 03:12, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it's quite safe to assume that the cycle was interrupted in between, simply because three new quests were added (Justiciar Kimii, Zaln the Jaded, Justicia Sevaan). When adding or removing entries from the cycle, a new cycle starts, all we have of this cycle is 5 days. It will take a longer while until we can be sure what the exact cycle is.. Plus, we don't even know if the cycle will stay, as it's likely that new bosses will be added again. poke | talk 14:18, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Well it's Carnak the Hungry today so we can be certain we have at least the first few bosses of the rotation certain. Dakota 16:09, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

War, What is it Good For?[edit]

Is it just me or are there way too many bounties that aren't worth the trouble of even looking at? I mean, unless it grants at least 15 war supplies on hm, I don't even consider it. Anet doesn't seem to realize that if the rewards don't interest us, we do have thee option of not playing that day. --Shai Halud 19:44, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure they do realize that... Why wouldn't they? -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 19:46, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
I said "seem", in other words their actions indicate this conclusion. I'm not aware of what they do or do not realize.--Shai Halud 19:48, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Their actions being providing low rewards on some bounties? If they didn't know that some people would choose to do this versus that bounty, all the rewards would be the same. Now, you (and many others) do not choose to do certain bounties because of the reward, but that doesn't mean no one does. I quite like some of the low reward bounties, because I can do them very quickly, and sometimes that's all I have time for. I just meant that they know people have the choice of not playing, or playing some other game, or (insert one of many, many other activities here), and I don't really think that just because they have low rewards on a few bounties indicates that they've suddenly forgotten that. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 20:00, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
In my eyes the easier bounties are ment for players that dont have HM unlocked yet, therefor they still get the majority of the reward that you would get in HM. Their just easier tasks that less experienced players can still easily do, and the harder ones are for that challenge and gratuitous reward.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 20:09, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Problem with no HM unlocked yet is you have to finish Proph or EotN just to see the WiK content let alone get the quests. User Tenri My image.jpg Tenri 01:07, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
EotN is far easier to beat timewise than Prophecies is, and many people go through EotN first anyhow.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 02:16, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

To beat Prophecies its 25 missions, unless you quip out and skip some, which is in my opinion wrong and pathetic...You can beat EotN in a day or two easy if you have a competent group or guild. Prophecies could take you Id say 5 days to a week or so if your adamant about it.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 03:10, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
For all the 1+4 ones, it sometimes takes less time to gather enough Orders to get supplies than the time it takes to make it in HM. On the Prophecies thing. I always though that they should let you explore the whole map. ALL OF IT, with boats that that take you to places by paying cash if you didn't unlock the crystal desert or the fire islands. But then, 'hide' the missions as outposts like in Nightfall, and turn them into mission outposts when you do the previous missions and primary quests. Just getting there should not be enough, at least until you make all the missions in the proper order with at least one character.MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 03:29, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Ok so you can finish EotN in a day or two doesn't make EotN easier than Proph just shorter as EotN is an expansion it being shorter is expected. All the quests have to same reward formula with the HM reward being the floor value of half the NM reward it just happens that with a NM reward of 3 the HM reward of 1 seems small in comparison. For the 15 total reward quests you still get 10 for NM that is 66.6666666...% of the total reward so still the majority of the reward and a good reward for time required. The only reason to take the '4 quests' for me would be if the target was between me and something else I planned on doing. User Tenri My image.jpg Tenri 23:12, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Kinda makes me glad that they never added a WiK title, otherwise we would feel obligated to do all of these other quests to get the points.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 00:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Justiciar Marron in Kessex Peak. He's not on the list, and according to the front page, today's should be Justiciar Kimii, but I get the quest Wanted: Justiciar Marron. SkyMan25 17:24, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

1.) Do not remove content from the wiki talk pages. 2.) Put a new discussion into its own section. 3.) I fixed the template now to properly refelct the new quest. As I said before, there was probably going to be a part where quests would be replaced (and this was ignored). The index now will correctly display a total of 19 as well as actually function right. Also placed the new quest in the list in the right place. Adding them to the end in the wrong order does not help, whomever did so.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:10, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

Marron is after Lev and before Kimii, just check the list. By the way, don't expect Kimii tomorrow or the day after, there is a good chance were gona see two more missed quests from the first cycle. Nothing's going on. Predicted was Zaln the Jaded, the wiki says Zaln the Jaded, the game offered Zaln the Jaded, everything's fine. The cycle did not reset. Tomorrow's Sevaan, then the cycle will be complete and we'll start with Vakar again. Note that Wanted by the Shining Blade displays the quests in the order of first appearance. The order of the cycle is documented in Template:Shining Blade Bounty. Tub 21:03, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
No, Tub, that is incorrect; everything is NOT fine. What you are saying is that after Sevaan, we will have Marron, when, in fact, Marron happened a few days ago, right after Lev. The correct order SHOULD be Lev, Marron, Kasandra, Vess, Kimii, Zaln, Sevaan, but it's not. It is currently listed as Lev, Kimii, Zaln, Sevaan, Marron, Kasandra, Vess. Listing in order of first appearance is what is causing this error since the client seemed to glitch out on Lev, started over, and when it was corrected it was restarted at Kimii, completely skipping Marron, Kasandra, and Vess the first time through. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:47, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
There is nothing that suggests this is the way the quests are being introduced. The quests went along one by one just fine, then it reset about twice, going back to the beginning and repeating the list before it was even finished. Now it's gone back again and is repeating the same order. If this is how Anet intended to introduce these quests then all I can do is /facepalm Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 2.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 23:29, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
(ec)The list of quests on this page is not the cycle. It is not intended to be the cycle. It is precisely what it is labelled as: A list of the quests, in the order of their first appearances. It has no bearing on what shows as being the current quest. That information is taken from Template:Shining Blade Bounty, which, if you hit edit to look at its source code, is in the appropriate order to our knowledge (as Tub said, after Sevaan will be Vakar). If you want this list to be ordered in cycle order, it can be changed that way, it just means replacing the DPL with a manual list. - Tanetris 23:42, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes that is what I want, at least. A list of the quests in the order they appear, like the Zaishen Missions and Bounties are listed on the predictions page. That way we know which ones are coming up next. Thank you for your time and effort in this. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 17:20, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I believe Wyn said something about the DPL being able to be modified to display the quests in proper order. Other then that I am currently documenting the cycle as it appears from here on oit till it correctly cycles through. Were at a list of 21 quests so far, and due to the fact that the previous 3 before Kimii recently were the ones I have repeatedly said were skipped over the first time, I now believe this is the end of the cycle. Count the number of WiK mantle bosses and I guarantee that most if not all have an associated Wanted quest. The quest chain is not out of order and its cycle is truly a cycle. Too many people are reading one or two comments about it being all out of order and they are spreading it like wildfire. Im going to end that fire for good once the quests get around again.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 03:12, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Same goes for their constructs and the three Inquisitors, their somewhat "special" compared to the general grunts of the WiK bosses.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 04:46, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
So why do we not make subpages that show a list of previous wanted quests and a list of predictions for upcoming wanted quests like is shown on the Zaishen Bounty page? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 16:08, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
yeah, why don't you? ;) I've made this for my own use; it's more flexible than a wiki page and colours by campaign. Tub 16:52, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Predictions arn't really needed when its an unaltering cycle (as the zaishen quests all are). I already have something in mind for either a replacement or a partner with for the DPL on the page that will display all the quests in the cycle order, as well as inform you of what quest it currently is today in a visually simple way. From that you can see the "predicted" order as well as the current, previous, and total quest list.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 17:02, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Predictions[edit]

Well bloody hell... Went and took an hour and a half making a good and proper list, and someones beaten me to it...--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:28, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't want to edit while someone else is busy setting it all up, but I'd propose to list the rewards by mode, i.e. change from "15" to "10 + 5" or "10 + 5 = 15". Or I'll just edit tomorrow when it's settled down. Tub 20:21, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
By the way, it might have been me that you saw working on that, but Poke said he's going to delete the templates I made, so I stopped. lol If you've got something, go ahead and put it up. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 20:29, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I didn't say I would delete it, I just tagged it for deletion. poke | talk 20:47, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
You can see what I have so far [1], Problem is the sorting of the last column. Some reason the 22 rewards get stuck in the middle. Had to use a hidden sorting variable to make it not mess up the 4's, but now the 22's have broken after I added the gold reward. Gah...--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 21:14, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
EDIT Changed the above link to a permanent link, for future references.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 21:20, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Quest dialogues have changed.[edit]

I have 3 on me, and they all now start with "Relive this classive bounty hunt from the War in Kryta!" and are now in past tense among other things. -- Konig/talk 18:32, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Have you beaten the main WiK quest line?--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 21:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Still accessible after WiK?[edit]

Can these quests still be taken and completed after the WiK quests have been completed? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:07, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes. --Wafflepanda 21:51, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
So, as far as WiK content goes, what changes after completion of The Battle for Lion's Arch? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 17:36, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
If you have no active Wanted requests, the Kryta spawns are normal. If you take any SB quest, then the spawns change everywhere in Kryta (even if your target isn't there).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:41, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
There's also additional NPCs (and a lack of Magi Malaquire) in the Lion's Arch Keep and the dialogue for the quest changes so that they're re-enactments. -- Konig/talk 18:06, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
In other words, if you don't have a SBB in quest log while you are in North Kryta Province you get this, but if you do have a SBB, you get this? Also, as long as you have SBB in log, it is still possible to get WiK green and minipet drops? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 19:13, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Correct.--User Pyron Sy sig.png Pyron Sy 19:17, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

what are Selma quests doing here?[edit]

The quests from Princess Selma do not belong on this page. I don't know how to remove them. Ramei Arashi 16:46, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Fixed, thanks! poke | talk 17:01, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

L'il Question[edit]

Hi guys, just want to know if these quests are repeatable ? I mean for exemple make Calamitous bite the dust twice per character's doable or not ? Thank you ! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 78.122.38.35 (talk).

The rotating quests are repeatable, but you can only receive the quest once on the same day. In other words, you'd have to wait until the next time the quest comes up in the rotation to repeat it. Similar to the non-PvP Zaishen Quests. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 15:57, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Add bounty locations in the table[edit]

I think it would help so you can see quickly which quests to attempt simultaneously to save time. --Suxon my Kurdick 09:37, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

It would take up alot of pagespace to do that. Currently its non-obstructive by filling up the gap to the right of the NPC quest list, adding all the locations would make it where it would no longer fit there.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 01:02, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Due to others' actions, we had some vacant space for rent open up on the page. After a little negotiation, I helped the list add that nifty locations column expansion that it always wanted. Had to settle for second best though, as the expansion couldn't (easily) link directly to the image for each bounty. The image names are not uniform, thus no easy way out in the template. If other people want it, I'm sure I could negotiate with the list some more and get it done the hard way, but the list agreed that this works just fine as-is.
On a side note, I wrote this after being up for ~28 hours. Ignore the pitiful comedy.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 08:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

HM rewards[edit]

Are not worth it. I feel like these rewards are upside down. Why ArenaNet doesn't scale these like the zaishen ones? - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 13:31, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

New order[edit]

Just in case nobody's keeping track of it:

-Barthimus the Provident - March the 3rd

-Lev the Condemned - March the 4th

Might have been reset then fixed, keep posting them there I guess till were sure.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 03:30, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I'll keep on going anyhow. Beleeth 04:28, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

What happens if...[edit]

You have these quests in your log, join a friends Battle for Lion's Arch and accept the Quest Reward from Salma. 1) I know it wipes your quest log 2) The original 3 wanted will not be in your quest log But, if you somehow get WiK started again will the orignal 3 be available for you to do? If not I'd call it a bug in Battle for Lion's Arch

Ive only tested as long as a person doesn't finish ebon vanguard allies / asuran allies, it is possible to recover the 3 original wanted if you manually do the remaining of the 2 quests and talk to salma.66.135.236.42 20:11, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Any solution for the bug?[edit]

"Accepting the reward for The Battle for Lion's Arch after beginning The War in Kryta but before this stage appears in your quest log can cause issues as it will mark The War in Kryta as complete, preventing you from doing the quests skipped. You can work around this by following the manual walk through, unless you have completed both Ebon Vanguard Allies and Asuran Allies. If you have completed the two quests, you will be unable to trigger the dialogue with Princess Salma that allows you to take the Wanted! quests targeting the three inquisitors (Bauer, Lashona, and Lovisa)."

It seems like my friend hast this problem because we finished both "Allies"-Quests together and he isn't able to accept the 3 wanted quests. So is there any solution for this bug or is my friend stucked in this stage of wik forever? If there is a solution it should be added to the article because it seems that this bug causes some serious problems. 193.159.86.157 17:36, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Contact Support and they can fix it. 75.37.20.60 20:00, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Table[edit]

I revamped the table so that it doesn't look like this anymore + so it now mimics some of the format of Daily activities. I've taken the liberty of removing the column which contained only the "bonus only" hard mode rewards since you get them in addition to the NM rewards (= total). -Chieftain Alex 14:00, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

its a bit of a lash-up job with a micro table as the heading because you can't have partially rowspanned headers in sortable tables. -Chieftain Alex 14:02, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
Dunno how to fix it, but table highlight always seems to be a day behind whenever i check it (usually around two hours after it's supossed to change) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.58.93.169 (talk) at 17:50, 21 April 2019‎ (UTC).
Easiest way to force most recent version is to click the clock at the top of the page and purge the cache. Bad part is you might need to do it every day xD Durp da durp (talk) 16:29, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
