Would it be possible to make the wolf not look so horrible. The wolf is my favorite animal, but the huge hunchback kills it for me... Sigh... such is life Vhalantru 06:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

I doubt the development team will take time out from their current projects to change something that was obviously designed with a certain style in mind. - BeX iawtc 05:07, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Wolves do often have that "ruff" of fur that rises above their shoulders but I can see that you believe it to be exaggerated, and I think I've seen that comment elsewhere as well. I will be happy to ask if this is something we want to examine, but keep in mind, the art team is moving forward -- having completed art for Guild Wars Eye of the North -- towards Guild Wars 2. It may be that going back to adjust art would not be a good investment of time. Also consider that if one players doesn't care for "the look" of a certain pet, another player may love it, and therefore we risk upsetting someone else in making a change that the first player would like. It's rather similar to the situation where some player would like us to adjust the pre-order items for the first campaign, and yet others are very happy with the items as they are, which is a "darned if you do, darned if you don't" situation. :) So I have to say that a change probably isn't likely, but again, I will ask. --Gaile User gaile 2.png 06:24, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
I do realize it is unlikely, and that it is simply based on my opinions. Thank you for your time. --Vhalantru 06:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Honestly, he's a little "ruff around the edges" to me, too. Sorry, bad pun. :D But truthfully he does look a bit hunched to my eyes. I just don't think that we'll change that because of the "some will like, some will not" issue. --Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:11, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
alright, well thank you again for your time. Glad to meet you as well. --Vhalantru 04:31, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I've always hated the wolf design too. Wolves in real life are one of the coolest and most beautiful animals, IMO. The ones in GW... not so much. :/ Capcom 06:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
If you hate this wolf design the try a EotN wolf as they aren't so camel related. -- Natalie Black User NatalieBlack sig.jpg 13:45, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
oh yeah, I had a big smile following that discovery, I have a white one right now, and I like him a lot --Vhalantru 22:59, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Wizard's Folly added as a location. I have found a mass of wolves there near bandits. Eryops3 19:29, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Merge With Snow Wolf?[edit]

Should we just put a redirect from one to the other? I'm thinking Snow Wolf comes here as wolf would be the first thing most people type and is also probably the first pet people will come across. Dancing Gnome 18:37, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

I do agree, though there should be a note somewhere on the page about it. Since the snow wolf has the same umm... graphic texture thing? Idk the correct name for it.--Vhalantru 05:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

In the game, snow wolves are known as wolves in the Zaishen Menagerie. Trust me. I've tried adding them. The tamer said this: "You already have a Wolf of that level..." The rest I cut off because it is unrelated. I do agree with the merge for this reason. Also, snow wolves should be renamed to wolf.

Thul's Wolf[edit]

I changed the bit about the lvl 15 elder wolf spawns in Spearhead Peak, mainly fixing up some grammar issues. While I do agree that the untamed wolf sometimes does spawn, I don't see why that's a bug.69.249.223.63 18:00, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Add to notes[edit]

I added (rarely) to note about drops... 1 in over 200 qualifies, I think.
