Isn't it 40dmg a second now? --Lou-SaydusUser Lou-Saydus Hail Storm.jpg 17:24, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Yep. I also fixed the skill type and the condition duration.--Tankity Tank 20:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

crazy[edit]

This is like an armor ignoring 20 second duration 16 Fire Magic Searing Heat/Tenai's Heat on 12 cooldown that you cannot walk out of. Basically what Chaos Storm could've been, like Balthazar's Aura/Symbol of Wrath. Or if you're thinking single target, Shameful Fear... Removal puts you at risk for dazed as well and this is basically 20 degen that goes through Prot Spirit since 40 is less than your standard 480-600HP bracket. I'm surprised nobody advised Blessed Light given that is one of the few skills that can deal with it besides the extremely situational Divert Hexes. It happens that Shielding Hands/Shield of Absorption are very useful if you don't happen to have bulk removal besides Cure Hex/Remove Hex/Deny Hexes.--Life Infusion «T» 14:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Distracting Shot, Savage Shot, Revealed Hex, Inspired Hex - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 14:55, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
You can interrupt spells too. I'm talking about its potency, not about how to stop it. --Life Infusion «T» 03:04, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
well, what do you expect from huge lvl 24 wurms who have way too much hp and armor for their lvl? XD - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 16:26, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Is that ANets idea of promoting Mesmers? Creating over the top hexes that can only be removed by Mesmer skills fast enough? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:84.56.240.135 (talk).
It's easy enough to deal with when it's the one wurm. When you have 3 or more wurms plus a bunch of other monsters, like in Frostmaw's Burrows, is when it gets OTT -- Hong 02:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Stoneflesh Aura reduces the damage. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.56.248.141 (talk).

Does "Save Yourselves!" also reduce the damage? --68.82.225.152 06:26, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm in the dungeon atm and it's hitting me for 80's not 40's. Constantly. Could take a screeny soon if needed...but this is ridiculous. I'm not frenzied etc etc. And this is on a ranger. ugh!

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg103/titan247/untitledd-1.jpg here's the link...as you can see I'm only in NM and there isn't a skill on my bar or an effect I'm under that would increase damage...is there? Pray For Peace 22:03, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Well, Frostmaw Spawns are Bosses, and Bosses deal double damage in EotN. I can see one in your screenshot. --Arduinna talk 23:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Completely forgot about that, thank you very much :) Pray For Peace 17:08, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Am I correct in saying the damage is armour-ignoring? King Neoterikos 02:15, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Solution:[edit]

We had a guildie run a good PD mesmer and did awesome. The fact that it's such a strong skill, IMO it should be 5 seconds and do 75 dmg each time so it triggers spirit bond/prot spirit--adrin User adrin ecto sig.png 06:35, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Why run Psychic Distraction with it's 10 energy cost? AFAIK, the wurms have nothing to prevent interruptions.--68.82.225.152 07:03, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
because PD owns. Napalm Flame 21:12, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Shadow Form?[edit]

This skill does not state that it has to target anything, although it is a hex spell. Will it act like a PBAoE spell and bypass Shadow Form? 24.150.101.241 13:51, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

It's a hex spell, and has to target the assassin in order for it to function. If it targets someone near the assassin, then the shadow former will take damage, but only as long as he/she stays near the afflicted target. With that said, it's generally a bad idea to try soloing wurms with shadow form, because that annoying thing where they knock you down when they pop up does ignore it. --Jette User Jette awesome.png 16:55, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Pain Inverter[edit]

Should there be a note saying it syngerizes well with gww:Pain Inverter? It's aoe, triggers to almost full damage, and triggers several times during it's duration, making it ideal for Pain Inverter. Moo Kitty 00:57, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

EVERYTHING synergizes with Pain Inverter. 76.66.75.109 21:25, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
