why does this give you 4 energy regen, surley none of the snowball skills require energy? Mundungus 16:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

good question...i suppose Anet had some energy-costs for the Snow fighting skills at first, then removed all from them and likely forgot to remove this part. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:25, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Does not affect armor = error?[edit]

I think Anet did not add an armor fix to this effect as Icicles is the only skill that does cold damage. Every other Snow Fighting skill does untyped, armor-ignoring damage. I wonder if Anet did that notice yet. That gives Sins, Dervs, Wars, Paras and especially Rangers a little advantage. Additionally, that makes that besides the Enchantment Mods and War Insignias, a "Leaf on the Wind" inscription helps against this skill. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:24, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Effect type[edit]

is it possibly a form? it sounds strange, but it doesn't seem to be applied in a specific area like an environmental effect, and changes certain elements such as hp, energy and skills. the only exception, unfortunately, and apparently the most important thing of that effect type, is that your character doesn't change the appearance. :P —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:49, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

no, dervish moves u get from it are forms, and you cant have 2 forms at once~Nelson (n122333) File:N122333sig image.jpg

Usage locations[edit]

The claim this is uónly used in dVg is clearly wrong. I can see why one would think so: it is the only place during the weekend event. However, during proper Wintersday, it used in a bunch of other places. Like those quests, and the AT thing. Backsword 06:16, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I've reverted my edit. --Silver Edge 06:47, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Condition-affecting mods?[edit]

Do these still work under yuletide, like a Silencing mod, "Cast out the Unclean", Enchanting?

Yuletide is only the same consept as a costume.--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon5.jpg 18:12, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]

With the warrior's unique skill you can stand in the NPC's who are already out and still gain adrenaline.

of course not they're allies thus giving you adrenaline --Dragon7 cape emblem.pngThe Holy Dragons 09:16, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Link or inclusion[edit]

This is used in several places, and everywhere there is some sort of copy of it's effect (often missing bits). SHould we link here instead. or set this page up for trasclusion, so that the info can be updated and maintained from a single location? Backsword 08:43, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Environment Effect or Disguise?[edit]

Based on the workings, it seems to be a Disguise. I've checked ingame, but it doesn't mention the skill type. It looks like the article creator just set Environment Effect and it was never changed. Is there any evidence to suggest one or the other? Tub 03:20, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

It's an environment effect. You can use an "explorable area tonic" while under the effects of Yuletide (you wouldn't be able to use a tonic if Yuletide was a disguise). Also, if you used a Transmogrifier Tonic, when you CTRL+click the Avatar of Sweetness icon in the effects monitor you get "I am disguised as an Avatar of Sweetness!" and doing the same for the Yuletide icon displays "I am under the effects of Yuletide!", which is consistent with other environment effects. --Silver Edge 04:02, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Is this also apply to Siege Devourer or Dragon "Dodgeball" Arena? --Falconeye 04:17, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Siege Devourer is labeled as a form, pinging a form says "I am a Siege Devourer!" or "I am an Ursan Blessing!"[sic]. So Yuletide is neither a form, nor a disguise.
Is there a reason to label it "Environment Effect" instead of just "Effect"? We know that NPCs are not under the effects of Yuletide, so it isn't just an instance-wide effect. Tub 01:31, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
All the NPCs in Snowball Dominance are. --Silver Edge 06:34, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Yuletide + Journey to the north[edit]

Similarly, this person reported only getting 600 health. --Silver Edge 03:53, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
The ammount of extra health Might have something to do with the level of the character, unfortunately couldn't test it any further with more mules. Wasn't so useful for me as a nec since you sacrifice half your health anyways when using holiday blues, but the remaining health makes you last longer, but I suppose a mesmer could have seen some greater benefits. Beleeth 12:51, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Journey to the North depends on the toon being less than L20. It's possible that L10 toons are boosted the equivalent of 10 levels of health while L19 toons are only boosted 1 level.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:09, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
