Talk:Zealot's Fire
From Guild Wars Wiki
It seems like this skill does not function exactly like the skill description...maybe there should be a note about that. In my experience it does not trigger on any skill, but only on monk SPELLS. I cold be wrong, it might trigger on monk skills, but it for sure doesn't trigger on non-monk spells and it also does not trigger on itself when you recast it...maybe some more looking into it and then a note at the bottom (it isn't really a bug, it just doesn't function exactly like it says, so maybe that is a bug). - Keep it mind that the wording indicates that it shouldn't trigger on any skill that doesn't have a target (like itself or aegis). HeWhoIsPale 18:12, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
It might be a bug since the description says: whenever you use a SKILL, but it might be triggered when you use energy-based skills so signets may be left out. But imagine it being triggered by aegis, for example, you have a party of 8 people and cast aegis with zealot's fire... that seems a bit too much, so perhaps it was changed so it does not trigger on enchantments. Or, for example, you also have a party of 8, and cast heal party with zealot's fire, that might just be the reason for this, but i don't know if i am right. Jerry 09:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
It also does not trigger on itself when you recast it, I would think it would trigger if you cast it on recharge and it was still on you. Alex Morningstar 21:46, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Read the standard description carefully: while the skill augments you, it doesn't specify a target, so ZF doesn't trigger itself. Incidentally, this skill is a shining example of why I hate concise descriptions. --SoraMitsukai 17:15, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- The description says whenever you use a skill that targets an ally, so does this work for Ritualist healing spells, or a paragon's Inspirational Speech? Would be funny to have the armored dude in the back giving you a lecture and suddenly have the monsters around you explode in flames. Elder Angelus 19:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Shouts
Needs to work with shouts for srs--75.94.77.148 20:47, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Pretty sure it does.... wasn't there an HA gimmick that used three shouts to trigger ZF? Misery 20:50, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah it does my bad. But I was thinking more along the lines of party wide shouts not single target shouts... lol that would be imba.--75.94.77.148 06:00, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Note about Rodgort
Yet another example of shutting down the common sense of people, not like one can't realize that when a skill says it deals fire damage, anything involving fire damage is counted. Haru 00:32, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
