I really like this skill with a mysticism/wind instead of earth dervish. They genrally need more energy than the earth line of skills. Coruskane 17:48, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Is it just me, or does it look like the guy's back exploded? Hasaple 05:32, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Imagine how tough that guy must be. He's still praying devoutly, even though his back just exploded.
That being said, I'm liking this skill. Works great on my R/D for energy management. The build needs some fine tuning, but then again, I only thought it up about 10 minutes ago :P DevilJinKazama 23:57, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Aug 7 Update[edit]

Its too bad the degen is still -3 so its still not really usable for a Warrior... but still, at 10 WP you get 5 energy, which means free 5 damage attacks... and since its attack based, great for Rangers with Expertise to never run out of energy... particularly with Volley... 3 energy attack for a 20 energy return... can be some great management... might be useful for a sin too... with a dual attack and critical hits netting a potential 10-14 energy gain, just for a regular hit... and that also means that Dual Attacks like Twisting Fangs are now free and a potiental more energy back if a critical is made... This also means, that you could make an entire Sin Chain cost 0 Energy... so this skill does have a lot of potential now. SabreWolf 18:21, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Who said it wassn't usable on Warriors? You'll just have a -1 energy regen, which is far worth is even at 7 points of WP. It's also great energy management for monks with caster spears just auto attacking. Axel Zinfandel 02:30, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

dang thats quite a buff there 72.45.60.6 04:34, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

I never considered it underpowered. Now it's ridiculous. Windprayers' self-heal, Zealous Vow and of course our beloved Golden Fox Strike->Wild Strike->Death Blossom chain. And you still can fit Whirling Charge (boosted by Dwarven Stability) AND Asuran Scan into it. Noctarch 18:43, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

w00t[edit]

Should I consider using a Sundering Mod for this? I'm always 75%+ filled with a zealous. 203.212.159.41 16:27, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

You should consider using a vamp mod. 129.237.52.176 18:52, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Can use with Deft Strike, since it's an attack. -7:09 6/13/09

AoE Bow Attacks[edit]

Although Barrage, Incendiary Arrows, and any other elite Bow Attacks you can come up with are obsolete with this skill, you can use Volley, Forked Arrow, Dual Shot, and other similar skills if you need a quick burst of Energy with a bow. He Who Likes Arrows 08:25, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean "obsolete"? Do you mean "precluded" since ZV is an Elite skill? KStarfire 15:55, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Forked arrow wont work seeming as u cannot have enchantment--HavitasWeapon of Fury.jpg 15:55, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
if you need a quick burst of energy.. the enchantment lasts 20 seconds, with a ranger you have +0 energy regeneration, meaning that you would live from your volley which would grant you a 4 energy / 5 second tops. i don't think this would give you enough energy to spam other attack skills. go zealous barraging imo. 80.126.47.201 17:46, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Forgetting you get 3 hits on a volley, you would get +12e/5secs... seems ok to me :) Helgan Iceglow 81.207.110.55 11:56, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Except for interrupts, non-elite bow attacks are useless. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:70.161.97.235 (talk).
You can always autoattack too.
You could also dip into Dual Shot and Triple Shot if you're that strapped for energy, Triple will net ~15, and Dual will pull in a total refund.

Potentially needs a massive nerf.[edit]

Since it gives energy on any attack, this could allow rangers to spam high energy bow attacks without drawback.

Why would they want to waste their elite and spec into this when their primary already lets them do that? b.r // talk 04:51, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
"high energy bow attacks" = what exactly? Concussion Shot? Pin Down? Vili User talk:Vili 05:45, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
By the way, Scavenger's Focus. Vili User talk:Vili 05:46, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Don't know about rangers, but this skill have the potential of becoming the new warrior's endurance (seen already few games with warriors using it at 7-8) - I bet this will get nerfed the next skill balance patch as this allows same kind of damage why WE was nerfed in first place :) 84.251.199.244 18:32, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Incoming nerf[edit]

I'm seeing former Warrior's Endurance builds taking this. I'm thinking that this is getting nerfed but then again maybe no. Perhaps this is Anet's way of saying "Ok everyone without Nightfall, your demo of good builds just ended. If you like it, buy the full version of the game to unlock the full functionality." --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.43.62.68 (talk).

Sign your comments, and no this will not be nerfed because it's only good functionality is in RA because in GvG/HA/TA/ any higher end pvp there is enchant removal.--'ÑöĭƑýtalk 15:27, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

And more importantly (and more relavent) condition removal. Justice 03:27, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Doesn't need a nerf at all tbh. Enchant removal ruins it, kiting ruins it (assuming most warriors are terrible at bulls). WE got nerfed because it was irremovable. ~ WELL HELLO Chao 14:47, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
in a way it did get an indirect nerf years later with some dervish skills switching over to adrenCactus 08:04, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
