boss-like foes[edit]

Should we update the boss parameter to allow for boss-like foes? I think that would help remind ppls (via the infobox) that so-called end-dungeon bosses are really boss-likes, not true bosses. (Alternatively, we could add a new param for boss-like that would otherwise work the same as boss.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:20, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

The main reason to note differently and autocategorize bosses is that you can use the signet of capture on them. What would be the reason for boss-like foes to have a similar notation? MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 22:05, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Boss-like foes behave differently from ordinary foes, which is why we have a category for them. It would be easier to create dynamic tables if this was noted in the infobox (and it would be easier to ensure they are correctly categorized). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:18, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Category:Core festival hat makers[edit]

Fix campaign parameter, because it is causing to list Core festival hat makers, which doesn't exist. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 15:21, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Possibly we could add a parameter to stop any categories being applied, then w could manually add the categories that are missing. -Chieftain Alex 01:08, 26 October 2012 (PDT)

6 professions[edit]

For some reason, the infobox died when I last tried to increase the number of professions up to 6 for Disgruntled Zombie. Anyone feel like implementing a working version? :/ -Chieftain Alex 01:08, 26 October 2012 (PDT)

Might want to increase the value to 10 while your at it for articles like Imperial Guard Ally and G-1000. --Falconeye 02:36, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Category issues[edit]

List category issues here:

  • Polymock related npcs don't need eotn prefix
    • fixed by CA
  • There are no "beyond" henchmen or profession trainer henchmen categorized by navigators,
    • fixed by Silver Edge.
  • Decategorize for Guild ambassador and other "unique service" NPC's
    • fixed case for guild ambassador, can we be specific, any other unique service npcs?
  • service = Blessing - shouldn't split by campaign. Category:Blessings
    • Categories have been switched about since this one, I don't know if this is still needed/applies?
  • {{NPC infobox profession}} - currently categorizes even if on a historical page.
    • Fixed.

I'll prune the category logic whn we have a list of what needs removing/fixing.. -Chieftain Alex 23:23, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Quest giver (e.g. Avatar of Dwayna (NPC)). --Silver Edge 07:28, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
Quest givers are awkward since the auto-cat can never know which service goes with which campaign, I think your manual recategorization works. -Chieftain Alex 13:10, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Affiliation Link change[edit]

Hey so right now the infobox Affiliation section for a lot of NPCs like Luxon Necromancer or Ascalon Refugee point to redirects. Is there any way to get an easy list of all the different values we have there? I can update the template to bypass redirects easy enough, but I'd like to only have to do it once and not miss any. horrible | contribs 18:41, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
