This template is for formatting (and citing the source of) text copied from elsewhere that should generally be left unchanged (besides wikification) from its original content. --Rezyk 02:58, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Rename?[edit]

Can this be renamed to, say, "Quoted from"? Or maybe "Sourced from" or something. I'm just thinking that this might be mistaken for the NPC quotes (unless we change that one to something else). -- ab.er.rant sig 02:32, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Moved from Template:Quote to Template:Quotation...any better? --Rezyk 02:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Yep, better. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:45, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Alternative?[edit]

Is there a more...tasteful way to express that an article is a manual quotation? Some articles, like Saul D'Alessio and Turai Ossa, are currently walls of italic text D: --Santax (talk · contribs) 22:34, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, there is. We could just rewrite the original quoted text into a properly redacted article and use the references extension when required. Problem is, who wants to rewrite the articles when a quote works just fine? :P--Fighterdoken 22:38, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
