The Aurios Mines is a challenge mission in the Jade Sea. Captain Rion and his crew were reaving jade when some nightmare creatures ambushed them. Defend the mines from the nightmare horde so the reavers can extract the jade.

This mission rewards Luxon faction, experience, and gold base on the formulas below. Values are rounded down. An additional bonus is given for achieving daily best, monthly best, or quarterly best.

At the start, there are nine quarry sites controlled by the nightmare horde. Each site is guarded by a Shadow of Kanaxai. Defeating a Shadow of Kanaxai changes control of that site to your side and a Luxon Enchanter will spawn at that site. There are patrols that move to quarry sites that you control and attack the Luxon Enchanters there. When a Luxon Enchanter is defeated, the site changes control to the nightmare horde and a Shadow of Kanaxai spawns. The frequency and size of these patrols increases over time, but there can only be 4 groups present at any one time. Every 10 seconds, the nightmare horde's score and your score increases by the number of quarry sites that are controlled, which is indicated by the flags next to the scores. This mission does not have a time limit, however, once the nightmare horde has a score of 500 the challenge ends.
Since Luxon Enchanters are monks, they may leave the quarry sites to heal anyone low on health. The nightmare horde patrols will only move to the next quarry site when the Luxon Enchanter of that site is defeated. Thus, it is possible to pull the Luxon Enchanter away from quarry site and the patrol will remain stuck at the site. By controlling all 9 quarry sites and bringing the Luxon Enchanters with you away from any patrols, you can essentially stay in one spot gaining points. Not every Luxon Enchanter has to be pulled, but all of them that would be attacked by a mob must be.
The easiest way to achieve this condition is to bring a minion master. The natural health degeneration of the minions provides a source for the Luxon Enchanters to heal. Simply move from site to site killing the Shadow of Kanaxai and ignore any patrols on the way. Eventually, enough minions will be animated that the Luxon Enchanters will start following you. The only limiting factor now is time. At 9 points per 10 seconds, you will gain 3,240 points per hour. A daily best top score can generally be achieved in one or two hours. A monthly or quarterly best top score may take several hours to a full day.
