Xunlai Storage Expands

The Xunlai Agents have exciting news! They plan to grant everyone additional storage. Veteran travelers who venture into every corner of the world will receive the greatest rewards, however, because storage capacity will increase with each region—Tyria, Cantha, and Elona—that you frequent. Thus, even if you spend all of your time in a single area, your storage will increase, giving you an additional vault from that region to add to your original storage box. If you are a world traveler like me, and if you journey through all three realms, your storage will quadruple, for you will receive three additional vaults to add to your Xunlai box.

Xunlai storage specialists have listened to the complaints from travelers that storage chests are simply too small to hold treasures from all over the world. After numerous journeys across three distinct lands, replete with noteworthy and valuable items, some adventurers have been forced to discard items they would have preferred to keep, simply because they did not have sufficient storage space. Their entreaties have been heard and responded to.

Truly you must agree that this is remarkable news indeed! We will likely hear an audible sigh of relief from packrats, treasure collectors, and traders the world over. Be sure to check your storage vault in the next few days for this magnanimous gift, and join me in extending a word of thanks to the worthy Xunlai Agents.

The Bunny Messenger

Hopefully this narrative won't earn me a trip to the Sardelac Sanitarium. I remain confident in my faculties, though, because I learned last month that even the oddest story from the most peculiar source can turn out to have merit.

A talking rabbit approached me earlier this week. Yes, indeed—floppy ears, cotton tail, and buck teeth. At first, I thought The Frog was playing a trick on me, for he is notorious for enjoying practical jokes. Convinced he took me as a fool, I asked him, bluntly: "Why do you wear that stupid bunny suit?" To which he responded, calmly: "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?" Despite the cryptic response, I soon came to realize that I was not talking to my amphibian friend.

Normally, I would have dismissed this occurrence as the outcome of an overly generous serving of rice wine. However, the hopping hare convinced me to stay a while and listen to what he had to say. I am certainly glad I heard him out, for he imparted valuable knowledge about the upcoming weekend.

Those who enjoy working toward various titles should pay close attention to the musings of this bunny. Much like the strange shamrock-themed items that appeared a few weeks ago, we can expect to see more odd trinkets popping into existence this weekend. According to my erm…source, two items will show up at week's end. The first is a chocolate bunny that provides quite the sugar rush when consumed and, due to the decadent amount of sugar in this confection, rewards those who indulge with two points toward their Sweet Tooth title.

The second item is a mysterious golden egg that supposedly gives a temporary boost to one's abilities. In addition, this oval treat is reputed to provide those lucky enough to find one a point toward their Treasure Hunter titles. And, as if that were not enough, I was told the mysterious contents of these golden eggs also grant one point toward the Sweet Tooth title. Truly a three-fold blessing!

I believe this strange celebration revolves around a "fertility" theme. We are just beginning the Season of the Zephyr—often associated with matrimony, courtship, and fertility—so this odd occurrence may not be a simple coincidence. I only hope that this furry vision was not the result of long hours spent in seclusion within the monastery archives stoking my imagination with the promise of gold and chocolate treasures. All work and no play makes the Scribe a dull boy, as they say. But, the last time I checked, hard work didn't make one hallucinate about talking rabbits. I suppose we shall learn the truth this weekend...

Random Acts of Kindness

Yet another week of travel lies behind me, and I wish to recount the many kind episodes I witnessed.

I often see new adventurers struggle with quests. Acellen The Bringer and Hasao The Great stepped in to ease these struggles with offers of free assistance. In the Shing Jea Monastery, Silent Shot Kenshi and Jz Hell Angel helped an initiate search for the Naga Source. Meanwhile, Sonja Teh Trapper donated gold to a citizen wishing to open a Xunlai Storage vault.

In my vocation as a wandering Scribe, I've found that sharing information is a free and easy way to help others. Soldier of Strength, a veteran fighter, didn't hesitate to instruct an apprentice Warrior in the ways of high-quality axes. When Minister Hero ran into an Assassin seeking further training, he conveyed his opinion of which secondary professions Assassins should take.

Edward Bowlock led an ill-equipped Mesmer to the armor crafter and explained the crafting process. Shortly after that, Rza Rt Og told a lost Ranger where she could find the Canthan Ambassador to shop for a Guild Hall. I also saw many citizens appraising items for others, including, Fire N The Sky, Val Nova, Alwyn Fayce, and Victor Dressler. Taking the time to help the less experienced costs no gold and I thank all whom share their expertise and wisdom.

I also spent a lot of time in Heroes' Ascent this weekend, and I wish to note a few honorable opponents I encountered. Original Gangzstah, Chromium Element, Saving Private Ryan, Death Knife, Kitty Kat Claws, The Ultimate Gift, The Legend Hero, Empress Master, Angels Guidance, and Pedro Cts Ur Cokies all stood out as honorable and respectful opponents.
