The Vault is the final map in Heroes' Ascent before the Hall of Heroes. Instead of a regular match, The Vault is used as a waiting room while the winner of the currently active Hall of Heroes match is decided. Due to the nature of the Hall of Heroes, only one match can be played there at a time. Therefore, it is sometimes necessary to place a few teams that have successfully fought their way through the tournament in The Vault when more teams have qualified for the Hall of Heroes than that map is meant for (there can only be three teams in the Hall of Heroes at a time).

Each team scheduled to proceed to the Hall of Heroes gets their own private instance of The Vault.
