The Tomb Nightmare is a nightmare-typed creature that can be found in the Catacombs in the Prophecies-Tutorial. It has to be killed during the quest The Necromancer's Novice to take Necromancer as either first or secondary discipline. It has the highest level of all non-boss creatures in the catacombs.

• It has no armor against cold damage, making Deathly Swarm an effective spell.
• An extremely easy way to take out the Tomb Nightmare is to pull it into the trap with a ranged weapon (i.e. a Flatbow or Longbow).
