No Attribute Skill
From Guild Wars Wiki
(Redirected from Unlinked)
No Attribute Skills are those which are not tied to a particular attribute.
Since no attribute skills do not have an attribute to base effect scaling on, their effects are generally rather static - for instance, the unlinked monk skill Remove Hex simply removes a single hex no matter what, with no other effects, in contrast with the Inspiration Magic-linked Inspired Hex which not only removes a hex, but also gives the caster energy based on the level of their linked attribute.

[edit] Notes
- Some skills still find ways to "scale" their effects, even though they don't do so with a linked attribute. For instance, Signet of Malice removes a number of conditions equal to the number of those suffered by the foe it targets.
- Untied skills often make good choices for secondary profession skills, as they do not require any points invested into attributes, so a character can spend its points on primary profession skills while using an untied skill of a second profession and reaping the maximum benefits of that skill.
[edit] Trivia
Deny Hexes essentially functions as a no attribute skill (and originally was one), but was moved to the Divine Favor line (on April 5th 2007) so as to count for its own conditional activation.
