I'm probably older than your average player - my first gaming console was Atari 400. While I enjoyed a wide variety of games, I found myself interested in mostly role playing and strategy games. I'll never forget that day I bought the first (American version) Final Fantasy and Koei was easily one of my favorite video-gaming companies back then. Eventually I found my way to the world of mudding. So it was only natural that I eventually found my way to Guild Wars. I also enjoy being a part of the Lore community on GWOnline and I'm also a moderator for Blade and Rose's sub-forum there. One of my characters is an actress in Crystal Guard. In the game, I have low tolerance for players who are in hurry and those who thinks they are superior to others. My love for content often have me wanting to explore everything and completing all quests available in a zone before I leave the area. While I enjoy pugging, I often have found I'm better off playing alone with heroes and henchmen. Basically for me the journey itself is important while for others it seems the destination is more important. Nothing wrong with that - to each their own. If you think you'd enjoy hanging out with me in-game, feel free to look up my IGNs. Userboxes +
Not exactly a rant but more of a request to the community. I'd like to experiment with an idea I just had regarding Twitter and Guild Wars. As of now, if I want to find someone to do stuff with, I have to shout across the alliance chat or scour my friends list or use the Party Search. As you know, our friends list is limited and there is a limited pool of players in alliances. Many districts are not exactly brimming with available players. I thought that maybe Twitter can be used to expand the pool of players since it can be accessed by cell phones and internet browsers. The basic idea is to have all interested players "follow" each other on Twitter and whenever you want to do something, tweet it. Perhaps someone else might see it and log in to contact you. This idea might flop but it certainly won't work until there is a critical mass of players involved. If you are interested, find me at sarak_layghlin on Twitter and tell your guildmates and friends about it. Thanks!. Credits +
