Note: I'm trying to write a historical content policy, feel free to add missing things - I will add this as an official proposal (and into GWW name space) if this policy is written out.

Our goal is to save information from old Guild Wars day to be prevented from being forgotten. The articles should inform readers with interesting trivias and help them to understand the development of Guild Wars over the past three years of existence.

[edit] Information we always retain

  • All removed content since release of Guild Wars
  • All officially announced but never implemented features
  • All removed content which influenced the current game and game mechanic
  • Interesting beta features

[edit] Article

  • {{Historical content}} at the beginning, {{Historical content nav}} at the bottom.
  • Same article formatting as for existing items, towns, outposts, npcs, skills, etc.
  • We do not delete any content from this article, only change tempus and/or add additional information we are able to contribute
  • Link to game update which changed or removed this game feature, if possible
  • We try to add a trivia or notes section which explains the removement (use cites!)
