Here's a guide to doing the Canthan New Year quests as quickly as possible. Ideally take a paragon hero with both "Fall Back!" and "Incoming!" to speed you up.

Process[edit]

If you have access to Nightfall, start from the Sunspear Great Hall in Istan and follow the wiki walkthroughs for either Douse Your Enthusiasm or A Burning Desire. Douse Your Enthusiasm rewards 10 Sunspear Promotion Points and 1 Sugary Blue Drink whereas A Burning Desire rewards 2 Sparklers (which can be used to ensure that you have enough fireworks for The Big Bang quest later.)

Map to Shing Jea Monastery and pick up The Knights Who Say Nian, Fire in the Sky, and Hopeless Romantic quests
Ensure you have 10 piles of glittering dust in your inventory
Enter Sunqua Vale from monastery
Give the dust to Nubah Lao (talk to him twice)
Talk to Hapless Chong - pick up Just My Luck
Following Just my Luck, talk to Guwon the Wise (you can skip this step if you know how to get the 3 items this quest requires)

If you have Ran Musu Gardens unlocked (you have completed Minister Cho's Estate mission)...

Map to Ran Musu Gardens
Enter Kinya Province
Follow and complete The Knights Who Say Nian (kill some Mantids on the way as Nicholas the Traveller is collecting Mantid Pincers this week)
Follow Just My Luck until you obtain the Nong Berries

If you do not have Ran Musu Gardens unlocked...

Map to Tsumei Village (or travel there if you do not have it unlocked)
Enter Sunqua Vale
Follow Just My Luck until you obtain the Nong Berries
Follow and complete The Knights Who Say Nian (kill some Mantids on the way as Nicholas the Traveller is collecting Mantid Pincers this week)

Then...

Map back to Shing Jea Monastery
Get quest rewards for The Knights Who Say Nian and Fire in the Sky
Pick up The Big Bang
Ensure you have 5 fireworks in your inventory
Leave the monastery into Sunqua Vale
Speak to Nubah Lao
Map to Tsumei Village - add a healer hero to your party if you do not already have one
Leave into Panjiang Peninsula
Complete The Big Bang
Complete Hopeless Romantic - accept reward
Follow Just My Luck until you have acquired a Sparkling Kappa Shell and a Raiyan Spring Water Vial
Map to Monastery
Get reward for The Big Bang
Go into Sunqua Vale
Talk to Guwon the Wise (twice if you haven't spoken to her already)
Map to Tsumei Village
Leave into Panjiang Peninsula
Complete Just My Luck - accept reward
