This page will include my favourites and most hated things in GW and other stuff. User:Gem/Thoughts works as a nice add on to many of the things said here.

Guild Wars[edit]

Best outpost: Marhan's Grotto. It was the meeting place of cool people in the beginning of times and everyone loves to slide! Sliding is sooo fun! It's a shame they nerfed sliding a while ago, but this Marhan's still has a place in my heart. Actually Marhan's is the reason I started this page.

Worst outpost: Vasburg Armory. So where's the xunlai? Still haven't found him.

Best exploreable area: Dreadnought's Drift. Exotic, you rarely go there. Has a Statue of Dwayna and Maw the Mountain Heart.

Second best exploreable area: Haiju Lagoon. If you have a girl or boy friend take him/her on a romantic date under the wonderful cherry trees. Remember to pack a skill or two in addition to your flowers and chocolate to get rid of the Oni trying to disturb you.

Worst exploreable area: The Shattered Ravines. The level designers failed with this one. Random small patches of rocky ground in the middle of otherwise Junundu usable area and poor Wurm Spoor distribution.

Second worst exploreable area: Wajjun Bazaar. Boring city. And how the hell do we get to the Undercity? Anyone remember?

Best mission: The Dragon's Lair. It has a nice idea of six different levels with different effects. If this would be redone to be more harder and the effects would be made meaningful and more varied the mission would be marvelous. Also, who wouldn't like to beat a big dragon?

Second best mission: Dzagonur Bastion. It's challenging, it's a defensive missions where you actually need to be offensive while defending your fort and it has the feeling of a real battle between armies. Perfect.

Worst mission: Moddok Crevice. Who wants to fail masters reward a dozen times due to a stupid runner getting just a few inches too far in an otherwise too easy mission?

Best bonus mission: Dunes of Despair. It's a fun and challenging bonus where you need to kill 3 bosses while defending the Ghostly Hero far away from the bosses.

Worst bonus mission: Divinity Coast. What's the point in a bonus that fails most of the time so that players don't even have a possibility to prevent it? I'm talking about the villager that often gets killed by Ettins because players can't save him as they can't get to spell cast range even with a 33% speed boost.

Best quest: [[]]. Not sure yet.

Worst quest: [[]]. Not sure yet.

Best dungeon: [[]]. Not sure yet.

Worst dungeon: [[]]. Not sure yet.

Best mini-game: The Norn Fighting Tournament. The tournament requires players to create a skill bar that works against many different enemy skill bars. The enemies use some very fun builds, and the comments of the NPCs watching the match are awesome!

Worst mini-game: Kilroy's Punchout Tournament. Static skill bar with no nice trick skills = no tactics, just hack and slash.

Best profession: Ranger. Well, I like many professions, but ranger is the one I use most of the time since she is fun, varied and can do a lot of stuff, including 55hp and bonding. :P

Second best profession: Necromancer. I think this is the profession that really got a facelift in GW compared to other games such as Diablo II, since they are pretty varied with three very different styles; Minions, curses and life stealing.

Worst profession: Paragon. I've heard they cause a lot of trouble in PvP balance (lol, look at Izzys talk page, really) and they generally aren't worth it in PvE. Also all their armor looks the same, their skills look the same and their skill color theme looks awfull.

Best campaign: Nightfall. Heroes, cool story, cool landscapes, cool monsters, dervish profession, cool mission ideas, cool quest ideas. PvE players dream. Overall just damn great!

Worst campaign: Factions. Boring landscapes (the city is so ugly and you have to spend so much time there), assassins, stupid quests, too fast leveling up, forced farm (10k faction required in a primary quest and if you want to do it later with a new character...), short, awfull enemies, split player base (factions). I almost stopped playing completely for 6 months.

Best PvE-only skill: Sunspear Rebirth Signet. Should be in almost every PvE skill bar.

Second best PvE-only skill: "You Move Like a Dwarf!". Great utility for a toucher, and who wouldn't like taunting their enemies, especially those who can't even move? ;P

Worst PvE-only skill: Ursan Blessing. Where's da nerf? Dumbs down the game, makes all professions equal. This is a one skill game now.

Best title: God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals. This is me in the future. What could be cooler?

Worst title: Allegiance rank. What's the point in such high requirement for some skills (which are too good anyway)? What's the point in so high max ranks? Promoting grind isn't what GW should be about.

Best game type: PvE. That's why I play.

Second best game type: PvP. Keeps skills in check and is fun for a lot of players.

Worst game type: Scamming, leeching, trolling, idiotism. Oh really?

Best holiday event: Halloween 2005. The first holiday event was something new and was very fun to everyone. The special pumpkin head was a very nice new idea.

Worst holiday event: Halloween 2007. The holiday events are getting pretty boring. The latest has a 30 minute lasting event with the Mad King with too little interaction and too much repetitive stuff. And the addition of yet new easily aquirable PvE-only items which give performance boosts is just hitting the last needles to the coffin of what once was hard mode.

Best hero: Master of Whispers. I rarely play without a Minion Master and the background story of MoW is cool.

Worst hero: Zenmai. She's an assassin and looks stupid.

Best henchman: Mhenlo. Duh. The only henchman to get a boost because the players care about him.

Worst henchman: [[]]. Don't know really. I haven't used most henchmen anyway.
